Yes, I'm using 2) "Configure Desktop" -> Location
And yes, then I copy a file to the folder I configured, and it doesn't show up.

Inotify seems to be fine with my computer. I have like 60 watches and limit is
65536.

However I just realized that problem might be related to symlinked folder. When
I reported this bug, I used folder like this
/home/elman/symlinkedFolder/Desktop.

Today I was trying folder without symlink in its path and everything was
working as expected - files were updated. Then I used path
/home/elman/symlinkedFolder/Desktop and copied files did not show. After that I
tried again folders without symlink and they didn't work. So something about
symlink could have broken things.

  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Dockers
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: kaz.fox...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I'm having problems making custom palettes. When I use + to add the foreground
color to a custom palette, the swatch won't appear until I add a color group
and if I delete it, the swatch doesn't disappear until I switch docker tabs.
Sometimes it crashes. I don't need to create a new group for pre-made palettes,
but if I try to delete the new swatch, Krita crashes.

The 4.0 manual says you can drag and drop swatches to organize them, but I
can't.

Thanks for the report, I can confirm the issue.

Your initial investigation has been really helpful, saving us time in finding
the cause. You are touching the right spot, but calling all of
AbstractImageView::setZoom is not necessary, it will be enough to call
RasterImageView::onZoomChanged, which will then set the appropriate
transformation mode for image smoothing.

This is a suggestion for improving the Batch Queue Manager usability.

The thinking is, being able to see how the assigned tools affect your images
*before* running the Batch Manager. right now the only way to see and tweak the
tools is running the Batch manager multiple times.

it will be great to get a "preview" window that gives you an indication of how
the setting are going to affect your batch.

When taking the first screenshot, the text in the notification is "Screenshot

When taking another screenshot, Spectacle creates a second notification with
the text "Screenshot was saved as x in y. Screenshot was saved as z in a."

I would expect that the second notification only references the second
screenshot. If you keep taking screenshots, the message of the notification
gets longer and longer (see attached screenshots).

If you wait a few minutes, the text of a new notification is short again (if
you scroll down, the text of the other notifications is still long).

We'd like the blocking widget that prevents us from working to appear.
It should last as long as the big break.
(and it should count as a big break in case 'break at fixed times' is checked)

   Product: dolphin
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Archlinux Packages

screenshot

I'm testing dolphin 18.08 beta on Arch Linux.

To enable the window that indicates the progress of the file operations:
Right click on notifications applet in the system tray -> Notifications
Settings -> uncheck "Track file transfers and other jobs", click "ok" button.
Right click the task manager in the plasma panel, select "configure task
manager...", uncheck "Show progress and status information in task buttons",
click "ok" button and restart plasma session.

Steps to reproduce the bug:
1. copy/move a big file to another device/partition.
The window indicating the progress of the file operation appears (see my
screenshot)
2. while the file operation is in progress, check the option "keep this window
open after transfer is complete".
3. when the file operation is already complete, click "open file" or "open
destination" buttons.
Result: nothing happens

2018-07-21 Thread Andrius Štikonas
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396705

Well, at some point I can try to look if resize2fs gives anything useful. We
already look at dumpe2fs (another ext4 util) output to get free space.

But the problem is that sometimes it's hard to estimate used space precisely. I
should check if resize2fs and dumpe2fs gives the same output, but e.g. I think
even with btrfs it's much harder to tell the exact used space, so at best we
can try to improve it per file system.

I found myself that estimates are better when partition is mounted (another
source of data for free space is used then).

[kdf] [Bug 396735] New: Add a setting to hide loop devices created by snapd (or maybe squashfs filesystems)

2018-07-21 Thread Mike
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396735

Bug ID: 396735
Summary: Add a setting to hide loop devices created by snapd
(or maybe squashfs filesystems)
   Product: kdf
   Version: 18.04
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: mlippert...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

KDiskFree could use the ability to hide loop devices created by snapd

or perhaps the ability to hide mounts of type "squashfs" (since they're
read-only and have no free space, seeing them is not helpful most of the time).

Right now when I open KDiskFree I see a sea of red at the top (since loop comes
before sda*) none of which is interesting when I run KDiskFree to get a sense
of how full the partitions I write to are.

There may be occasions when having the loop devices listed is useful (just
seeing them enumerated in a gui is useful, as is seeing their sizes), but
that's more of an exceptional case.

also see bug 379516 which was for frameworks-solid

Git commit 34ff7848ab5bf72457cf3dc434bc71492d9b0850 by Jasem Mutlaq.
Committed on 21/07/2018 at 16:13.
Pushed by mutlaqja into branch 'master'.

Add support to manual dither either by magnitude or X,Y coordinates. Please
note that if the target X,Y coordinates are far away from current reticle
position, then this would cause the guider to move aggressively to the target
location which might result in the star getting lost. One way to reduce this
effect is by reducing the propotional gain temporary until such large moves are
complete. Another method is to increase the guide square size so that large
movements can still find the guide star.

[plasmashell] [Bug 394489] Graphical glitches on panel

2018-07-21 Thread David Ing
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=394489

@Juha, thanks for the response.

On reflection, I first reported the problem on June 24, with ...

Software

KDE Plasma Version: 5.12.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.46.0
Qt Version: 5.11.0
Kernel Version: 4.14.48-2-MANJARO
OS Type 64-bit

... and then on July 20 with ...

KDE Plasma Version: 5.13.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.47.0
Qt Version: 5.11.1
Kernel Version: 4.14.54-1-MANJARO
OS Type 64-bit

... when the problem started recurring. In between, there was a period when I
didn't have any problems.

Looking at /var/log/plasma.log, I see ..

[2018-06-15 07:36] [ALPM] upgraded qt5-base (5.10.1-8 -> 5.11.0-1)
[2018-06-15 07:36] [ALPM] upgraded plasma-framework (5.45.0-1 -> 5.46.0-2.1)

[2018-07-02 21:41] [ALPM] upgraded plasma-integration (5.12.5-2 -> 5.13.2-1)

I had rebooted Manjaro KDE, and haven't had a glitch in the last 24 hours. I'm
not sure what to make of this. I'm not a developer, so I'm just reporting the
issue as it arises. At the first reports in June, the reboots weren't solving
the issue.

If the issue arises again, I'll repost. (I'm not doing formal testing, and am
just trying to get work done, so creating another userid is counterproductive
for me).

Sadly pkcon return nothing to do, I will be waiting.
Some workaround for people which using the korganizer in this case: install the
kontact application. When you will run kontact you have your organizer. In case
run korganizer independently you will crash error as before.

[tellico] [Bug 396733] New: Can not import .JPG images

2018-07-21 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396733

Bug ID: 396733
Summary: Can not import .JPG images
   Product: tellico
   Version: 3.1.2
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: ro...@periapsis.org
  Reporter: toitoine...@laposte.net
  Target Milestone: ---

Hi,

I am using tellico 3.1.2 on xubuntu 18.04 and I created a personal collection
where each item includes one picture

The database works very well but I observed a strange behavior, when I try to
import an image, I can not see .JPG files in your software

to reproduce this behavior :
1 > start tellico
2 > double click on one item
3 > in the picture tab, click on "select an image"
4 > go in the directory where the picture are
5 > .jpg, .png, .jpeg are visible and can be selected, .JPG are not visible

the solution to solve this problem is to rename mypicture.JPG to mypicture.jpg

I suggest that tellico is able to select .JPG files

no idea, the framework used from almost all kde apps including Latte is
KGlobalAccel . Are you sure that Latte needs Plasma to be running in order for
its global shortcuts to work?

This issue does still exist, but adding a separate option does not seem like a
good idea to me. I'll move it over to kio-extras, but a good solution should be
done in harmony with KZip (see bug 89051).
