A means of programatically creating, modifying and reading KST session files is needed. Providing C++ source for a class capable of manipulating KST session files would be ideal for my purposes. Alternately, if documentation were available detailing the KST session file format, I could author such a class for general release. In a similar vein, it would be convenient to remotely configure and control KST via a named pipe or other communications path. I know some older versions of ffmpeg had issues because they didn't have a "start_number" option for it. I received an email with Date header in the following format:
Date: Wed, 25 Jul 2018 10:55:49 CDT
In message list and message view, the email date is displayed as 6:55 AM. I am
in in US Eastern time zone. The proper date in EDT is 11:55 AM.
I looked at all other messages whose date is displayed correctly and their date
header has timezone in ("+" / "-") 4DIGIT format. Is it possible kmail2 has
parsing issues with timezone specified as CDT? After all, "Wed, 25 Jul 2018
10:55:49 +" is 6:55AM EDT.
RFC 822 allows CDT as a time zone, see

Steps to replicate: 1. PC-1 has IP address 192.168.0.101 2. PC-2 has IP address 192.168.0.102 3. On PC-1, open Konsole (or whatever terminal application you use). 4. cd ~ (in my case, my home directory is /home/scott). 5. fallocate -l 1G test.img 6. On PC2: Open Dolphin, press CTRL + L (to make address bar editable). 7. On PC2, enter the following in the address bar: sftp://192.168.0.101/home/scott 8. On PC2, drag the file test.img to the desktop. 9. OBSERVE: it's painfully slow (around 6MB/s). It's pretty much the same result whether the transfer is done using sftp://192.168.0.101 or smb://192.168.0.101 within Dolphin. Now repeat the above, only this time using scp from the terminal: 1. On PC2, open Konsole (or whatever terminal application you use). 2. Enter: scp 192.168.0.1:/home/scott/test.img /tmp 3. OBSERVE: It utilizes the bandwidth of the network, around 110MB/s.
