[krita] [Bug 396945] New: Vector Libraries / Select Shape Tool - Bugs in regards to editing/pasting objects

2018-07-28 Thread bugzilla_noreply

Bug ID: 396945
Summary: Vector Libraries / Select Shape Tool - Bugs in regards
to editing/pasting objects
   Product: krita
   Version: 4.1.1
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Layers/Vector
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: sovr...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I am a comic creator, and have noticed 2 bugs. The first is with the "Select
Shape Tool", I need to copy and paste many pieces of dialog or speech balloons
around a large canvas. But whenever I right click and hit "Paste" it places the
copied vector object close to the original as opposed to where the mouse is
pointing to.
The Second is with the "Vector Libraries", I have a number of speech balloons
and tails and need to be able to edit the nodes of the shapes into the right
shape and position. But this can only be done by first right-clicking and
hitting "Ungroup", this must be done even if the vector object in question is
not in a Group. The "Edit Shapes Tool" does not work unless this is done first
every time.

[kmymoney] [Bug 396901] Updated online quotes from a binary package are not transferred to the current settings.

2018-07-28 Thread Thomas Baumgart
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396901

Note: this is by design. The reason was that I don't want to override any user
changes. Once we can detect if there is user modification of an entry provided
by a binary then we can think about replacing the setting by the version found
in the new binary if it is still unchanged and don't replace it if it was
modified by the user.

Very strange, as the code for the message per account is not present anymore in
the source. Can you attach a screenshot of one of those 13 popups? Is this OFX
related, as I don't see any popups per account anymore, just the final summary.
One difference I see is, that I am using KBanking as the online backend.

[digikam] [Bug 396920] EXIF info not written when files from some cameras (Pentax K3) are edited and saved

2018-07-28 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396920

As this error is generated by Exiv2, the best way is to test with CLI tool when
you backport original Exiv2 to a JPEG file without Exif data. The error must be
reported in the console.

After that, you can report this problem to Exiv2 team with your test images.

Git commit 66523b3c99812e30816668351504063d6620a9c6 by Thomas Baumgart.
Committed on 29/07/2018 at 04:52.
Pushed by tbaumgart into branch 'master'.

Only show a single summary of statement import

Summary:
Depending on the number of statements imported via online connects to
banks, the sheer number of dialogs popping up is annoying and time
consuming. This change reduces this to a single dialog which is also
shown if no transaction has been imported at all to notify the
termination of the process to the user.

Test Plan: I ran updates for single accounts as well as multiple accounts

I cannot find the blacklist of tags in DK source code for JPEG files. Only TIFF
tags are blacklisted at save time:

https://cgit.kde.org/digikam.git/tree/core/libs/dmetadata/metaengine_p.cpp#n230

So the blacklist for JPEG must be in Exiv2 source code.

Hi,

The trace in comment #1 is not a bug really. it's a guard from exiv2 to prevent
to corrupt a jpeg file when you backport metadata from non standard jpeg
standard.

Typically, a jpeg segment cannot store more than 64Kb. A JPEG segment is used
to store the whole Exif byte array to the image.

Exif.PentaxDng.0x0406 tags is not a standard Exif tag. It's a makernote which
is a bulk of data not documented stored by Pentax for DNG processing.

Adobe as extended the standard Exif to be able to use more than one JPEG
segment concatened, but i'm not sure that Exiv2 support this mode.

So, when DK process this kind of JPEG Pentax file, a new JPEG temporary file is
created at save process, it ask to Exiv2 in backport original JPEG Exif to new
file and call "Houston control room"

The solution is to append Exif.PentaxDng.0x0406 to the backlist tags list that
DK include before to process with Exiv2.

migrating from sqlite to mysql
   Product: digikam
   Version: 5.9.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

 Component: Database-Migration
  Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org

Dear all,

When migrating from sqlite to mysql, I got an unexpected error during the
migration process:

Error while converting the database.
Details: Cannot add or update a child row: a foreign key constraint fails
(`digikam`.`Albums`, CONSTRAINT `Albums_Images` FOREIGN KEY (`icon`) REFERENCES
`Images` (`id`) ON DELETE SET NULL ON UPDATE CASCADE)

I've been able to fix it when editing my sqlite database (setting null on each
album image id) but it seems that there is a workaround on the image used as
album cover.

The files in the attached zip file were shot as jpegs and imported in digikam

If this should be filed as an exiv2 bug I can do that, any info on how digikam

I've installed some themes, for example "KFaenza New" (
https://store.kde.org/p/1233451/ ) or "Suru++ Dark" (
https://store.kde.org/p/1245808/ )
If I start an app with those themes applied, I see in console something like

>Icon theme "faenza" not found.
>Icon theme "suru" not found.

I'm not sure if I really need them, but they pointed in index.theme files in
form of "Inherits=breeze,faenza,oxygen,suru,hicolor"
And I can see it only if I open index.theme file from icon pack archive.

I think, something should be done with inheritance of icon themes and with
theme packs dependencies in general. See also Bug 367920

By default, baloo_file should only autostart in KDE, but as it stands right
now, it auto-starts in (at least) XFCE as well. The following line from
baloo_file.desktop, which is placed in the system's XDG autostart dir is:

OnlyShowIn=KDE;GNOME;Unity;XFCE

This should be amended to just 'KDE'.

Believe me, no one who runs XFCE, GNOME or Unity wants baloo_file to autostart
on their systems.

If it is the interpreter doing invalid writes, why valgrind says internal error

Summary Window

I compiled the master branch with the patch. It did add the summary window at
the end of the process.

It did NOT eliminate the 13 popups that I had prior to the summary at the end
so this added one more window that I had to close:-(

So I had no new transactions and had to close 14 popup windows instead of 13.

You should really stop asking for support about other tools other than Okular
here, if you want to get support for mupdf or Foxit do so in their support

I don't use wayland. In X11 I expect the shortcuts to not also forward the
pressed key to whatever the active application is. That said, this is obviously
not a latte-dock issue and I guess if I want better support for KDE shortcuts
in non-KDE, I would have to open a bug for kglobalaccel5 and make my case
there.

Thanks for the information however. I've personally just switched to KDE Plasma
so I don't have much of a personal interest in pursuing this further. Latte's
integration with Activities is really neat..

Fix crash on shutdown when having edited text forms

This fixes the same crash as bug 393334 but in a better way
the old way was setting a variable on destruction and then trying
to use that variable in a slot, but that's obviously wrong since
we were already mid destructing the object.

has registered as software, so I suspect that you have downloaded the images
with the import tool? Or have JPEG files been converted from a DNG?

I dont have that option running latest plasma on archlinux. But going back to
the first issue though, so what I am suggesting is to be able to switch between
the built in audio profiles right there in the audio widget rather than having
to go to System Settings > Multimedia > Audio Volume > Advanced and then choose
the profile from there. Maybe I am having a hard time explaining this. :)

Cheers.

I can confirm this bug on OSX. You can eventually make some dots appear. it
seems something on how the values are interpreted has changed.

Attachment shows the two renderings. on the top is compiled master sources
after forcing values to get some big circles (Default settings show a white

I see, but it doesn't seem to be working (at least for me) correctly. If I
switch between headphones and speakers, the speakers wont work if I don't
unplug the headphone jack. Is it my system or a bug? Could we also think of a
way to make it more explicit the switch? Thanks.

Finally found a bug report for this, but I'm surprised nobody has noticed that
it's like this for *all* GTK3 applications that use client-side decorations.
Try installing something like gnome-characters and you'll see it have the same
bug.

It also won't change from a dark color to a light color when the window is no
longer in focus, instead staying the dark color.

Tooltips light vs. dark design

I just started testing digiKam 5.9.0 on a Windows 10 OS.

I prefer using the standard or another light design but unfortunatly the text
tooltips for thumbnails and albums is not readable.
It seems to have a too light text colour, but I did not find any option to
change it in digiKam's set up.
I tried all light designs. The effect is the same for all of them.

Screenshot is attached to better illustrate the problem.
I would expect the tooltip text to look like they do in a dark design.

Thanks for reporting this bug! The behavior you noticed is funny, but easy to
explain: if we convert the time and date to the corresponding epoch timestamp,
we get something near 4294967296 as a result, which is the maximal number that
can fit in an unsigned C++ integer. So this is obviously not the expected
behavior because Dolphin does not pick up the time correctly, but makes sense
as Dolphin seems to fall back to the maximal possible value (which then leads
to this date in the distant future).

1) Using google-chrome, go to any website.
2) Drag the "View Site Information" (located at at the beginning of the address
bar) to a path in Dolphin
3) Click "Copy"

Note the date/timestamp. Mine shows the modified date/time to be "2/7/06 12:28
AM" for everything I copied.
When I "ls -l" that file in a terminal, I find the year isn't even 2006, but
rather 2106!!!

The timestamp seems so random, but I figure there's some meaning behind it.

I am using "Copy" instead of "Link" so I have the content of the page for
future reference in case that page gets removed or the content changes.

"Link" DOES get the correct timestamp.

Can you try this:

- Stop the kdeconnect daemon (killall kdeconnectd, you might want to run this a

- Erase kdeconnect's config (the enitire ~/.config/kdeconnect directory)
- Start kdeconnectd again from the terminal, and send us the terminal output.
Depending on your distro, the path for kdeconnectd might change. Check where it

When Kwin Edges are enabled from Tweaks the show delay can only be configured
from KWin and plasma systemsettings... If you dislike that behavior you can
always disable KWin edges from Tweaks page and show timer will work as before

[systemsettings] [Bug 396930] New: Option to lock the order of preferred applications for all mimetypes

2018-07-28 Thread Øystein Steffensen-Alværvik
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396930

Bug ID: 396930
Summary: Option to lock the order of preferred applications for
all mimetypes
   Product: systemsettings
   Version: 5.13.1
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: kcm_filetypes
  Assignee: fa...@kde.org
  Reporter: yst...@posteo.net
  Target Milestone: ---

– Feature wish:
An option to prevent external applications from changing applications
associated with each mimetype. In other words, lock all mimetypes with their
associated applications to prevent non-user invoked changes.

– Why?
Because it is frustrating to edit the preferred applications list for *each*
mimetype manually – which happens when applications, upon install, auto-edit
the list without asking the user.

Bug ID: 396929
Summary: Tools stop working after using Color Picker with
"Sample Current Layer" on a hidden layer
   Product: krita
   Version: 4.1.0 beta
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Tools
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: micho...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 114176
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=114176&action=edit
IRC logs

Scenario:
-Select "Color Picker" tool
-Select "Sample Current Layer" setting
-Switch to a layer which is hidden
-Click anywhere on canvas
-Pop-up window saying "Cannot pick a color as the active layer is not
visible." appears
-Click "OK" or close the window with "X"
 -Canvas becomes uninteractible.
No tool is able to work on canvas any longer. For tools such as color picker,
move tool, Selections the cursor appears, but is unable to do anything. When
selecting a brush, colorize mask or smart patch, the cursor either does not
appear or appears somewhere in the corner of the screen. It's no longer
possible to zoom in or pan. All toolbars and dockers work properly.
Restarting the application fixes the problem, no other solution seems to.

Appears to be exclusive to windows, happens both when using a mouse and tablet.

[clazy] [Bug 396904] Clazy needs a logo/icon, e.g. for usage in GUI IDE integration

2018-07-28 Thread Friedrich W . H . Kossebau
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396904

That was quick, thanks :)

Any chance for an official SVG version of the icon as well, ideally one
compatible with QtSvg features?

A small challenge I already see is that the icon might be hard to see in dark
color UI themes (something which especially some developers prefer it seems,
not me :) ).

Will give the current PNG version a try later this WE and report back here how
it works for KDevelop with dark and bright color themes.

Created attachment 114175

New crash information added by DrKonqi

dolphin (17.12.3) using Qt 5.9.5

- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I was moving the files from ext4 to NTFS partition.
- Unusual behavior I noticed:
I got the error message "Unable to acces the source file", selected "skip". The
files were moved successfully, however Dolphin crashed.
