Is it Plasma that freezes or everything? Can you perhaps gdb plasmshell and see
where it freezes when you plug in such a device?

No, I have no idea, and I do not see this happening. Unless you happen to be
using a brush preset for the Quick brush engine: those do not work with
mirroring. Or maybe you made a selection?

In any case, please update your version of Krita: the current release is 4.1.1.

Presumably, the modification date is not valid. It is easy to fix the "Mod.:"
string then not print. What if you re-read the metadata on this image?

If i remember, the modification time stamp must be show only if it differs than
creation time stamp.

The "Mod:" label with nothing after is just a side effect. The label must be
hidden as well..

So, for me it's a little ergonomy bug.

Your suggestions worked! Thank you so much. After I turned off all my security
softwares, it still crashed so I turned off the canvas accelerator and it
stopped.

There was another issue that popped up with Krita not responding to the
pressure from my pen, but it started working again and I can art smoothly once
more. Thank you a bunch

Thanks for changing the status which enabled me to find this ticket. Without

I was able to recover from this situation by running 'balooctl disable' as root
and as the primary user (my user id), then rebooting. I initially re-enabled
baloo for my userid once I got a good boot, and just now I re-enabled baloo for
root. No issues. I hope this helps.

Two images, only one is 'modified'

Per the attached screenshot, I think it would be best if the "Mod.:" label was
left off if the image doesn't actually have a modification timestamp.

In lieu of a text label, how about showing a tiny gear/wrench/tool instead?

Not sure why most of my images aren't showing up, I guess thats a database
problem being worked on?

In my case read mails never change the status to unread. Its only the other way

At the moment it is not planned to implement such a feature and the amount of
development resources for knights is very limited right now. knights supports
playing on the online FICS servers. If you're interested in playing with other
player over the network, you can consider using this way to play against other

Today I installed via the KDE flatpak testing repository Falkon (master).
Falkon does start on Plasma Wayland only via XWayland. I've tested the normal
Falkon package in ArchLinux on Wayland and it works great. Is Wayland support
missing in the flatpak backend? Flatpak wants to offer additional security via
sandboxing, but this doesn't make sense to me if then xcb is used anyway.

flatpak run org.kde.falkon --platform=wayland

[frameworks-kio] [Bug 179678] KIO needs PolicyKit-kde integration

2018-08-21 Thread Nate Graham
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=179678

I am not sure what you want from me. The fix has been made in 18.08. I cannot
backport the fix to 18.04 in KDE-land because there aren't any more planned
releases for the 18.04 version. I don't know where you can find the older
binaries, or even if they would work (Linux apps are not self-contained and are
mostly a collection of shared libraries).

Please direct your complaints at the Kali people and ask them to backport the
fix to 18.04. It's up to them at this point. They could also upgrade to 18.08.

This bugzilla ticket is about PolicyKit support in KIO, not root user usage of
Dolphin.

Gwenview says 18.04 so Kali hasn't upgraded to .08 yet.

> Insults and abuse don't make friends or fix problems.

Nate as I have said before I would rather have a respectful conversation but
when told one thing and my eyes see another I do call BS. As I have said
respect has to work *both ways*.

> We are all trying our best to fix the issue here.

We're talking about removing less than two lines of code that should not have
been there in the first place. We're not talking some complex application that
has to be completely taken apart to fix. Really you don't have to remove any
code just roll it back to the original that worked. I'm not sure what
versioning software you use but all of them have them ability to do a roll
back.

About respect, I asked you a direct question that you did not address. Where
are the links I ask for on where to find the older binaries? Can't I just copy
them over to my machine? It's respectful to give an answer when asked a
question.

So, the root of the problem is the Fade effect. The outline window should not
be animated by any of current effects. (if we want it to fade in/out, then we
have to have dedicated effect for that)

On X11, that's not really easy to fix this bug.

On Wayland, things are a little bit better. We can lower the outline window.
So, during fade out animation, it will stay below its "parent" window.

32-bit compatibility issue maybe?

Off-topic for this bug report, but FYI 32-bit support was *almost* dropped from
Kubuntu 18.04 due to a lack of testers. The same fate may befall it in 18.10.
If you're using the 32-bit version, we would really appreciate it if you could
do some beta testing to help keep the 32-bit version alive! Head over to
#kubuntu-devel on freenode IRC if you're interested.

Bug ID: 397723
Summary: ordering by name ordering (alphabetical, case
insensitive): wrong ordering of files with numerical
names and increasing digit count
   Product: dolphin
   Version: 18.08.0
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: view-engine: general
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: tempel.jul...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I have these files in a folder: "2", "4" and "10" (without " signs).
When I let Dolphin sort them by name, it is displayed like this:
10
2
4

or vice versa
4
2
10

This is highly illogical. Instead, it should be
2
4
10

or vice versa
10
4
2
