Bug ID: 398050
Summary: Recent documents main menu tab is not populated
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.13.4
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Application Launcher (Kickoff)
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk

During the session recent documents tab is filled with files and applications I

leave the session (reboot for example) and start new one, the tab is empty,
though links are still present in ~/.local/share/RecentDocuments/

I use an Icons-Only Task Manager and I've pinned Konversation to it. This means
I always have an icon for Konversation visible and in the same place on my

it off). I'd really like to be able to see the unread messages count on the

kdesrc-build runs the download, configure, compile, install cycle for you. But
it doesn't (yet) work with the distribution package manager to install
dependencies since not every developer will need to build every possible KDE
software repository.

For simon I'd recommend installing the missing dependency. For
signon-kwallet-extension it might be worth opening a bug report against
signon-kwallet-extension to avoid requiring superuser permissions to install,
or to make that a CMake check first, or to run "kdesrc-build
signon-kwallet-extension" with superuser permissions.

I use a bouncer and have Plasma notifications turned on for every single
message in every channel. The notification-per-message works great for me when
Konversation is already running, but when I turn on Konversation in the
morning, the result is a flood of notifications from everything the bouncer
cached while I was sleeping. Obviously this is not very useful. :)

It would be nice if Konversation could suppress notifications for a bit as soon
as it starts up, or suppress notifications originating from bouncer-provided
messages that exceed a certain rate, or something like that (feel free to
discard those ideas as they are borns from zero familiarity with either
Konversation's codebase or even how IRC actually works and what it supports).

The fee line is available in the register if you perform Buy, Sell, Dividend
transactions. The screenshot that I attached shows I was able to add fees for
a reinvestment dividend previously. If I try to enter a transaction as a
reinvestment dividend by changing the pulldown to Reinvest Dividend the fee
line disappears. What I tried to do in my description dated 2-19-2018 was I
entered the information with it as a dividend and then changed it to a reinvest
dividend and the fee line disappears. Somehow it worked for me previously and
now it doesn't. It's very common for reinvested dividend to have fees
associated with these type of transactions

Although this is not a bug in the importing, I'm marking as NEEDSINFO in case
it might turn into a wishlist for a way for KMM to detect such "duplicates"
although I'm not sure what would be the correct action. It can't match the
transactions without ignoring one of the FITID's, and it would probably be
annoying to have to "OK" if each were popped up as a separate error message.
Listing all such transactions as errors in the import summary could be an
option, but I'm not sure if there are cases where they are actually desired as
new transactions.

Does this still occur with 5.x? If so, the English column names are Charge (on

is easy to confuse, as increasing the debt is decreasing the balance. Separate
question - what happens to a payment transaction? Does it get imported

[latte-dock] [Bug 398042] New: Usability issues with animations and virtual desktops

2018-08-29 Thread Ben Daines
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398042

Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: plasmoid
  Assignee: mvourla...@gmail.com
  Reporter: benjamindai...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

The animations for adding / removing items from the plasmoid can cause
usability issues and frustration when switching virtual desktops.

If latte is set to display running tasks (not just launchers) and to only show
tasks from the current desktop, when switching to another desktop and
immediately going to launch something from latte, you catch the process of the
dock shrinking / growing which moves what you're trying to click across the
screen.

Better way to handle this would be to remove animations when switching
desktops, then it would be as if that desktop's dock had been there all along.

Even with animations set to 3x, this is still an issue. I'd rather not disable
animations entirely though.

Okular error screenshots

I'm running Okular from flatpak (flathub.org) on Debian 9, GNOME 3.22. I am
unable to open files in Okular "normally" (by double-clicking, or dragging and
dropping into an open Okular Window).

But I am able to open files if I browse to a file from Okular's File > Open
menu (Ctrl+O).

Upon making annotations, when I try to save any changes, the file-save dialog
box opens in the background and I get a notification pop-up saying

Xdg-desktop-portal-gtk
"Save As" is ready

Also, under 'Open Recent' file list, the path to the file shows up as
/run/user/1000/doc//, instead of the actual path. (But I
am able to open files already in the 'Open Recent'.)

I looked some previous bug reports and discussions. Upon running "systemctl
--user status xdg-desktop-portal.service", I get "Unit
xdg-desktop-portal.service could not be found."

xdg-desktop-portal-kde is not installed and I am unable to find it in Debian
Stretch or backports repositories. (I do see it on Debian testing and Sid
repos.)

I've attached some screenshots of the errors I'm getting, and would be happy to
provide additional info. I'd really appreciate any help with sorting this out.

(I'm not a software developer, just an end-user, and was unsure whether to mark
this bug as 'major', 'normal', 'minor' etc. Please feel free to mark it as
appropriate.)

While I'm at it, I want to thank the developers for this life-saver. Were it
not for Okular, PDF file management on my Linux setups would be a nightmare.

[plasma-nm] [Bug 398040] New: KCM hangs/becomes unresponsive during connection attempt

2018-08-29 Thread bugzilla_noreply

  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

 Component: kcm
  Assignee: jgrul...@redhat.com
  Reporter: jm.ouwerk...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

On Wayland the network connection editor KCM window becomes unresponsive while
attempting to connect to a network.

This is especially noticeable when the network password/secret is wrong,
because then NetworkManager will fail to establish a connection and pursue a
few more doomed retry attempts -- prolonging the duration for which the network
editor remains unresponsive.

While that is happening, KWin will mark the window as unresponsive (titlebar).

Steps to reproduce:

 0. Run a Wayland session (may or may not be relevant?)
 1. Contrive to set up a network with the wrong password/secret
 2. Apply settings
 3. Try to move or resize the window whilst the doomed connection attempt(s)
is/are in progress
 4. Watch Kwin mark the titlebar of the window as "Unresponsive"

When storing new/updated secrets for existing 802.11x connection settings via
the KCM "for this user only" (i.e. in KWallet) the secret/password is not
actually updated.

Steps to reproduce:

 0. Use a PGP backed KWallet instance (may or may not be relevant?)
 1. Edit an existing Wifi connection's secret/password string
 2. Apply changes
 3. Quit the network connections KCM
 4. Open the KCM, navigate to the 'altered' connection settings
 5. Observe: the password/secret remains unaltered.

This happens both with PEAP based connections & simple WPA2-PSK ones.

This is especially annoying in the context of PEAP because passwords are
typically associated to some account and subject to password refresh
policies...

Il suffit d'éditer le fichier
/usr/share/kservices5/org.kde.skrooge-import-backend-weboob.desktop en tant que
root.
Et de remplacer:
-s rdate,type,raw,label,amount
par:
-s date,type,raw,label,amount

[www.kde.org] [Bug 398038] New: Add a KDE Community Wiki link on the footer

2018-08-29 Thread Neousr
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398038

Bug ID: 398038
Summary: Add a KDE Community Wiki link on the footer
   Product: www.kde.org
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kde-...@kde.org
  Reporter: neo...@protonmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

As the title says add a new link on the footer under Resources redirecting to
https://community.kde.org/Main_Page

The Get involved https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved is the only way to
access the wiki under the site without using an external search site.

I found my self trying to get to the wiki to see the schedules and the only way
to do was clicking in get involved and return to the main wiki using the header
on "KDE Community Wiki".

It will be great having both links of the KDE wiki on the resources main page
for people looking for more info about the project.

I searched a bit on how and were to make the change on the web and just got
some references on old bugs about WebSVN so i decide to report.

[plasmashell] [Bug 397942] System Tray - bluetooth can not be disabled

britalme...@gmail.com changed:

When I login, I see the bluetooth icon on the panel and it looks ON.

In Bluetooth configuration, I have
- Advanced Settings > "Enable Bluetooth integration" - off
- Adapters > "Powered" - on (it always comes back to on)
- Adapters > "Visibility" - "Always Visible" (because I want to always see the
icon if bluetooth is on, that's what I think this means)

On the system tray settings:
- "Categories" are all on
- In "Extra Items" I have the checkbox for "Bluetooth (Automatic load)"
- "Entries" tab > Bluetooth says Auto.

If I disable Configuration > Powered, the panel Icon will be grey, but it
doesn't disappear into the extras.

Note: I think turning bluetooth on/off is quite a basic setting, I'm surprised
it is on the Advanced Settings. I would expect both a On/Off toggle and a
checkbox "Turn On Bluetooth on Start".

Note: Note:) I'll be going on vacations for a week, so I may take a while
replying again.

Running khotnewstuff_upload with the default upload knsrc file from knewstuff
source does not display the available entries in the configured category.

Running khotnewstuff_upload with QT_LOGGING_RULES=org.kde.*.debug=true shows
that the following URL is used to get the category.

https://api.kde-look.org/ocs/v1/content/data?categories=339===xx==high=0=10

A similar KDE4 test application displays the entries of the specified category.
The difference to the KF5 variant is that the URL does not contain 'user=xxx&'.

This upstream issue has more implications. For LibreOffice I am using kwin
rules in order for the titlebar to force a specific color palette (that way I
can match the titlebar with the libreoffice theme used in it). Even though this
was working for LibreOffice 5, it doesnt for LibreOffice 6.

In order to apply that kwin rule I have to re-enter at RightClick
TitleBar->More Actions->Special Application Settings and click Ok.

My guess is that it is the exact same thing...

[digikam] [Bug 387047] Easily accessible signatures

2018-08-29 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=387047

--- Comment #20 from caulier.gil...@gmail.com ---
RealDolos,

I fixed all scripts to bundle digiKam at release time.

Here you will found all bundles + PGP signatures + checksums.

https://files.kde.org/digikam/

The source code tarball is not here because it just published only a release
date. This folder is only to host intermediate release bundles for testing. But
the rules are the same to compute the PGP signature for the tarball.

Please check if all is fine for you.

[okular] [Bug 397948] Animation stops working in presentation mode

Created attachment 114689
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=114689=edit
example problem

Here is an example of a pdf made from latex. There are four slides, and an
animation on each slide. The first slide animation works in presentation mode.
The remaining slides show animation only when not in presentation mode.
If I delete the first slide from latex and recompile, then the new first slide
(the previous second slide) now works in presentation mode, but the others do
not. If I remove the first slide using pdftk, then the same behavior is seen:
whatever the first slide is works, and the remaining do not. I am not able to
check if this problem persists in later versions of okular (say 1.4), since I
am unable to compile it on ubuntu 18.04

2018-08-29 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381739

yes there is:

Linux universal AppImage bundles :
--

* digiKam-version-timestamp-x86-64.appimage  => for Linux 64 bits.
* digiKam-version-timestamp-i386.appimage=> for Linux 32 bits.

This bundle is compatible with all Linux distributions which support Fuse file
system.
It's built under CentOS 6.x. It must be runnable on all distributions older
than 3/4 years.
Make file executable and run it as well. Nothing is installed and not root
right is necessary.
See here for details :
http://askubuntu.com/questions/774490/what-is-an-appimage-how-do-i-install-it

Bundle executable can take arguments to run:

 without option : run digiKam.
: run Showfoto instead digiKam.
   : run digiKam into GDB.
 : run Showfoto into GDB.
: run native AppImage scripts to process desktop
integration.
: show these information.

The desktopintegration option is for you. This call the original scripts
provided by AppImage SDK. I re-routed these scripts because it crash on some
Linux. So by default there is no integration done.

Passing this option do the job. If it crash, it's fully a bug in AppImage SDK,
not digiKam.

Unfortunately I can't check because the appimage does not provide desktop

provided). Unless I miss something ...

Is there a way to add an appimage 'manually' in the system ? (so that a search
in gnome shell would allow to launch digikam directly ?) Now, to launch
digikam, I have no other option that opening the file manager to the appimage
directory and double-clicking on it...

I have similar issue. I cannot save configuration under System Settings ->
Default Applications -> Web Browser.
Strangely the rest of the Default Applications tab works ok. What I noticed was
that when saving "Web Browser" settings, "Updating system configuration"
notification popped out. Is it possible, that this particular setting is stored
in a different way?

2018-08-29 Thread Vlad Zagorodniy
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398033

Bug ID: 398033
Summary: The appearing/disappearing animation is broken
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.13.4
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED

  Reporter: vladz...@gmail.com

First of all, sorry for the title.

If there are several notifications, they all will be displayed inside one
window. So, when the first notification appears, KWin animates it. When the
second animation appears, KWin doesn't know about it. When the first
notification disappears, plasmashell slides the second notification. When the
last/second notification disappears, KWin animates it.

This is not quite right. Notifications have to be animated either by KWin or
plasmashell. Not by both of them.

Because KWin sees only the container for notifications, plasmashell have to
animate the appearing/disappearing of notifications.

What command line are you using.

The correct syntax would be

kst2 -f 0 -n 100 -y field

That is, order matters, and the -f and -n entries must come before the -y.
This is to allow such tricky things as

kst2 datafile1 -f 0 -n 100 -x fieldx, -y fieldy -f 1000 -n 100 -x fieldx -y
fieldy

to plot 2 different sections of data from the same command line.

let me know what syntax you were using on the command line.

Hmmm... Sounds like the OS locks the open file, blocking the failed read
forever.

I think I've had a similar problem with NSF on linux.

Is the GUI fully frozen? If not, "reload all data sources" button on the
toolbar (or File->reload all data sources ) should work. But if the GUI is
fully frozen, then we will need some other approach.

[kst] [Bug 396852] -x command-line option is ignored when attempting to specify source of X axis data

What command line are you using?

The correct thing would be

kst2 [frame range options] -x -y

To make the command line more powerful, order matters.

The -x has to come before the -y, but after the dirfile name and the frame
range options. This is to allow tricky things like

kst2 data.dir -f 0 -n 100 -x fieldX1 -y fieldY1 -x fieldX2 -y fieldY2

for example.

[frameworks-baloo] [Bug 367480] Crash inside Baloo::PostingCodec::decode

2018-08-29 Thread Bob Miller
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=367480

Created attachment 114688
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=114688=edit
New crash information added by DrKonqi

baloo_file_extractor (5.48.0) using Qt 5.9.6

- What I was doing when the application crashed:
1. Something causes Baloo to crash (do not know what). I was reading kmail in
this instance.
2. Logout, then login again
3, User is presented with the "baloo crashed -- restart?" graphic.
4. If restart is selected, baloo quckly consumes 100% CPU
5. Killing the process, logging out and logging back in again does not solve
the problem. User is always presented with item #3 above.

My guess is that index is corrupted and no amount of restarts solves the
problem.

Workaround:
Go to ~/.local/share/baloo
Remove files from baloo directory
Logout, login. Baloo will remake the index, then be OK until the next crash.

The plasma-browser-integration creates a file
/etc/chromium/native-messaging-hosts/org.kde.plasma.browser_integration.json

Tried copying it to where my chromium lives in
/usr/lib/chromium-dev/native-messaging-hosts/ but it didn't work

I'm having the same issue but with chromium-dev version 69.0.3497.12 as well as
chromium version 68.0.3440.106 and plasma-browser-integration version 5.13.4

It does work correctly with firefox 61.0.2 and I think it also worked correctly
with chrome.
