[krita] [Bug 398935] New: brush settings panel does not save menu state on re-open of krita

2018-09-21 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398935

Bug ID: 398935
Summary: brush settings panel does not save menu state on
re-open of krita
   Product: krita
Version: nightly build (please specify the git hash!)
  Platform: Appimage
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Usability
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: b...@fastmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
krita-4.2.0-pre-alpha-127857b-x86_64.appimage
Tested with fresh configuration (removing existing ~/.local/share/krita,
~/.config/krita*)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Krita
2. Open brush editor (F5, it is not accessible by clicking in toolbar unless a
new document is created)
3. Click arrow on far left to expand brush presets
4. Close out of brush settings and exit Krita
5. Repeat step 1 and 2

EXPECTED RESULT
Brush settings panel retains UI setting of expanding brush presets

ACTUAL RESULT
Brush settings panel does not save menu state on re-open of krita

SOFTWARE VERSIONS
KDE Plasma Version: 5.13.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.50.0
Qt Version: 5.11.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Due to the fact that other settings and UI elements are saved, it would make
sense to have this also be saved. There may be other elements of the UI as a
whole that have the same behavior.

I removed the version of KMM that I compiled from the master and installed KMM
5 from the Fedora 28 repositories. I still have the same problem opening and
OFX file when KMM is already running.

The version from the repos also does not recognize an encrypted KMM file.

If there is something left on my system from the 4.8 version I have not been
able to track it down.

It selects the next active layer beneath the one that is locked, not the layer
directly below in the layer stack, but physically below where you are clicking.

This seems somewhat intentional as a locked layer basically acts as "pass

[kdeconnect] [Bug 398934] New: cannot pair Android to Debian desktop

2018-09-21 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398934

Bug ID: 398934
Summary: cannot pair Android to Debian desktop
   Product: kdeconnect
   Version: 1.3.1
  Platform: Debian testing
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: common
  Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com
  Reporter: wrinn...@web.de
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. I have KDE up and running on the desktop PC. kdeconnect v1.3.1
2. I have installed Android KDEconnect from Google.
On the Android (Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo) the desktop is offered for
connection.
Both devices are connected to the same router, both have 192.168.2.* IPs.
Android has a working wireless connection to the router.
Debian has a working ethernet connection to the router.
The router is running DD-WRT.

EXPECTED RESULT
I do not know what a successful connection looks like.
Hopefully I would be able to recognize it.

ACTUAL RESULT
When trying to pair, Android says, "Abbruch durch Gegenstelle" (interrupted by
peer).
In the desktop /var/log/syslog I find: "Peer 192.168.2.24:n is not from a
LAN" (many times),
where n is the varying port number.

SOFTWARE VERSIONS
KDE Plasma Version: 5.13.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.49.0
Qt Version: 5.11.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Maybe a specific setting in the router could help?!

That does not "fix" the problem, but just has the desired effect by chance.

It breaks other use cases. It removes the whole device as soon as the
filesystem is unmounted.

video showing transform and move tool

krita-4.2.0-pre-alpha-127857b-x86_64.appimage

Tested with fresh configuration (removing existing ~/.local/share/krita,
~/.config/krita*)

Reproducible: Always

Steps:
1. Create new document (ctrl+n)
2. Draw object on layer 2
3. Create new layer (insert)
4. Draw object on layer 3
5. Select both layers 2 and 3 (using ctrl+left click)
6. Try to transform (ctrl+t) only one of the layers, the last one selected,
will work

Results:
Transform tool works on multiple layers only if they are grouped, and the group
layer is selected.

Expected:
Transform tool to operate on multiple selected layers, regardless of grouping,
like the move tool does.

The transform tool explicitly says it operates on a layer or selection, however
compared to the move tool it behaves inconsistently, leading to a bad user
experience. It is annoying to have to create groups for everything separately
if wanting to move or rotate multiple layers quickly.

There is also a long delay when trying to transform on a group of layers.

Video attached.

[okular] [Bug 398929] New: Feature Request re Bottom Scroll Bar and Scaling

2018-09-21 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398929

Bug ID: 398929
Summary: Feature Request re Bottom Scroll Bar and Scaling
   Product: okular
   Version: 1.3.2
  Platform: Debian testing
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: ch...@dunnz.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Can't call it a bug so feature request.

Have a large (several mb) and wide (24") multi-page document open in Okular.

I set scale to maybe 100% so I can read it easily.

Then I mouse use the bottom scroll bar to move from side to side of document.

Being naturally clumsy, and probably not fully attentive I don't take care with
the position of the mouse cursor and allow it to stray into the document
display.

Okular then (I believe correctly) starts to change the scale of the doc.
display. If the cursor is moving fast I'm almost immediately up to the maximum
1600% scale.

Not a problem? Well no, except that Okular then grabs all the computer
resources while it is re-sizing to 1600% and my desktop is frozen. I'm unable
to do anything else in Okular or elsewhere. I have to wait up to 20 minutes for
the operation to clear so that I can resume working. Can't close Okular.

Otherwise Okular is excellent and my best choice for viewing pdfs.

Is there any way of changing things so that clumsy people like me can't get
into this zoom to maximum situation. Alternately is there any way of stopping
the zoom to max. instruction from taking over my computer.

Thanks.

The ‘folder-open’ icon in Breeze looks identical to the ‘document-open’ icon at
small sizes. The leads to a *very* confusing UI if the two icons are used for
*different* actions in the same application.

I’ll attach a screenshot from compare to illustrate the problem. The left icons
are for a ‘Select File’ action and the right icons are for a ‘Select Folder’
action. But they look identical!

The plasma engine explorer shows events (source added/removed) are generated by
the hotplug data engine, and the solid dataengine shows the current values.

Next step look into the applet itself why is does not react on the events (it
is hooked to both hotplug and solid dataengine as sources).

Great! Can the patches attached to this Bugzilla go upstream then?

[frameworks-baloo] [Bug 398867] Dolphin search doesn't work in $HOME when you select "From here"

2018-09-21 Thread Nate Graham
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398867

Yari, it sounds like you have a different problem, then. I can confirm
Patrick's issue but not yours. Would you file a new bug for it? Thanks!

Excuse me, my internet connection is horrible and I saw the comment too late.
Anyway, I compiled the patched code, but the error persists.

[digikam] [Bug 398624] Cannot edit Date in XMP video metadata

2018-09-21 Thread IWBR
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398624

I saw the new tool to change the time and date, including the XMP:video date.
However, I am not sure how to remove just the XMP:video date from a picture
file without changing any other metadata. Is there any possibility to include
the XMP:video date in the XMP tab of the Metadata Editor, next to the
digitization and creation dates?

Testing with 5.3-git:

In some cases the script is apparently removed, but still present after
restarting KDevelop (as reported).
Sometimes a /different/ script is removed to the one intended.

[valgrind] [Bug 396839] s390x: Trap instructions not implemented

2018-09-21 Thread Julian Seward
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396839

(In reply to Andreas Arnez from comment #4)

> Implement conditional trap instructions

This looks good to me. I would request only that for this ..

+#define VEX_TRC_JMP_SIGFPE 96 /* deliver SIGFPE before continuing */

you continue with the convention of using odd numbers. I think that
the lowest available odd number in that group is 105, but please check.
If that doesn't work then it looks like 115 is available.

[digikam] [Bug 398880] Digikam stays as a background process after closing

2018-09-21 Thread IWBR
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398880

Just an update. The thumbnails not loading was caused by a corrupted database.
I had to recover it from a backup. Probably my fault for experimenting so much.
Digikam staying as a background process after closing still happens.

[elisa] [Bug 392501] Volume slider in Elisa does not work

2018-09-21 Thread Neousr
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=392501

Neousr changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 CC||neo...@protonmail.com

I found on a clean VM using neon both Unstable and User the same behavior. Just
to add installing the gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad package from the repos will
make music play and remove the "No volume control found" error on the terminal
but the volume slider will continue to do nothing. But the volume will be able
to be changed by the audio widget.

[kstars] [Bug 398925] New: Reporting bugs in KStars

2018-09-21 Thread Jean-Claude
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398925

Bug ID: 398925
   Summary: Reporting bugs in KStars
   Product: kstars
   Version: 2.9.8
  Platform: Other
OS: OS X
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: mutla...@ikarustech.com
  Reporter: jcjes...@free.fr
  Target Milestone: ---

I'm each time a bit confused when I want to report a bug.
The Help > Report Bug menu item leads directly to here (https://bugs.kde.org/)
but this is not always the right place.
As far I understood (I'm a bit slow) bugs.kde.org is only for bugs concerning
directly the KStars planetarium.
And - as far I understood - bugs concerning Ekos or indilib should be reported
to http://www.indilib.org/forum/general.html.
It would be nice if a dialog would orient the user reporting a bug in the right
direction.
