[trojita] [Bug 399055] Signature spoofing in PGP signed email (GUI layer)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=399055 --- Comment #1 from Jan Kundrát --- Hi Jens, thanks for this report, I think that you have identified a scenario which we missed. This looks like a valid concern to me. It would be reasonably straightforward to move the indication outside of the body/part content area if the entity being signed/decrypted is a top-level multipart. However, it is harder to do so when the signed/encrypted item is a MIME part which is nested deeper into the MIME tree. I.e., our initial design was motivated by willing to support a scenario where someone forwards a signed e-mail, so that the tree looks like this: root: multipart/mixed | +-- text/plain saying "Hi, plesae check this message from Bob" +-- message/rfc822, the original Bob's message | * +-- multipart/signed, a correct signature from Bob *| *+-- text/plain or whatever else with Bob's message *+-- the signature data ^--- these stars indicate what is actually signed, and what the UI shows as signed Do you have a suggestion on how to tackle this? Yes, "perfect is an enemy of good" and such, but still I think that we should not be degrading e-mails into "whatever can be produced by today's webmails". MIME is a pretty reasonable data abstraction, and my preference is to support that if at all possible. Do you see a way here? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[valgrind] [Bug 399087] New: memcheck escape from user code into memcheck itself via computed goto
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=399087 Bug ID: 399087 Summary: memcheck escape from user code into memcheck itself via computed goto Product: valgrind Version: 3.13.0 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: memcheck Assignee: jsew...@acm.org Reporter: jrei...@bitwagon.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY On armv7hl (32-bit ARM) memcheck did not notice that "add r15, r6, r10" is a computed goto: r15 is the pc, and writing to the pc causes a jump. The result was memcheck began to emulate itself, leading to bizarre results. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. valgrind --smc-check=all ./foo 2. valgrind --trace-flags=1001 --trace-notbelow=108 ./foo 3. OBSERVED RESULT SB 107 (evchecks 18103) [tid 1] 0x21ec8 UNKNOWN_FUNCTION UNKNOWN_OBJECT+0x0 SB 108 (evchecks 18104) [tid 1] 0x21f0c UNKNOWN_FUNCTION UNKNOWN_OBJECT+0x0 SB 109 (evchecks 18105) [tid 1] 0x4811f74 UNKNOWN_FUNCTION UNKNOWN_OBJECT+0x0 Notice the address jump from 0x21f0c, which is in the program being analyzed, to 0x4811f74. which is in memcheck-arm-linux EXPECTED RESULT "add r15, r6, r10" is recognized as a computed goto. Emulated control should remain inside the user program, or else be diagnosed as a "wild jump" error. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The program is a programmer-built version of /bin/date which then was compressed by upx. The program is self contained (uses no shared libraries; the static library uClibc.a was used) and the upx-compressed version also is self-contained. It executes correctly (produces the current date on stdout) when run by the shell. Under memcheck, all the executed instructions (so far) are static and unmodified. The computed jump is the transfer to dynamically-written instructions. The --smc-check=all should have caught it. Even without --smc-check=all, memcheck should defend against user code jumping into memcheck. The error occurs quite soon, in block 108. The upx-compressed output (75KB) and console transcripts will be attached if the bugreporting system allows. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kmymoney] [Bug 396225] When importing a ofx/qif file, it does not show me all my accounts
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396225 --- Comment #16 from Jack --- No problem wanting to keep your privacy. I can see a several options here. One - try creating an anonymous file. That will change the names of the accounts. Jus confirm that the snow up/not show up problem still happens. Two, create a copy of the file, and alter the account names. Three, just look at your actual account view and then create a nested list of the accounts - changing the names, but keeping the relationships. The problem is that right now, we can't figure out why account do or do not show up when you expect them to, since we don't have a real list of the actual accounts to know what should or shouldn't show up. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kmymoney] [Bug 396225] When importing a ofx/qif file, it does not show me all my accounts
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396225 --- Comment #15 from Beetle B. --- Yes, there are accounts, but as I said in comment 10 above, the ones that show up are Checking accounts, and the ones that don't show up have the account type grayed out. I'm not sure how this came to be - something I did when I created the account? I do know some years ago those accounts would show up in this dialog, though. >Also, please try a screenshot of the accounts view, with the asset accounts >fully expanded. I assume that will show both the accounts that do show up and >those that do not show up when it asks you for an account to import into? Yes. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=399084 Bug ID: 399084 Summary: zoom slider disappears permanently when a new document is created Product: calligrasheets Version: 2.9.7 Platform: Mint (Ubuntu based) OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: calligra-sheets-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: jakub.januszkiew...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When a new document is opened via File > New or via the respective toolbar icon, the zoom slider disappears. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Calligra Sheets 2. Open a new blank document. Observe that there is one zoom slider at the bottom of the window 3. Open another new document via File > New or via the toolbar icon 4. The zoom slider is gone. It doesn't reappear when you open another new document or an existing one from disk. OBSERVED RESULT The zoom slider disappears EXPECTED RESULT The zoom slider should always be there Note: there is another related bug I've just filed (bug#399083) - which bug you get depends on how you open the new document, so please follow the steps to reproduce carefully. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Side effect - the minimum window width grows with every added slider, so very soon the window is wider than the screen and it's impossible to make it smaller. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Calligra Sheets 2. Open a new blank document. Observe that there is one zoom slider at the bottom of the window 3. Close the file via File > Close 4. Open another new blank document. The zoom slider is duplicate now. 5. Repeat steps 3-4 to add more sliders OBSERVED RESULT Zoom slider is duplicated EXPECTED RESULT There is only one zoom slider -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[calligrasheets] [Bug 143845] KSpread totally confuses cell content with cell display format
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143845 Jakub Januszkiewicz changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|WAITINGFORINFO |--- Platform|Gentoo Packages |Mint (Ubuntu based) Ever confirmed|0 |1 Status|NEEDSINFO |CONFIRMED Version|1.6.2 |2.9.7 --- Comment #6 from Jakub Januszkiewicz --- I've just installed Calligra Sheets 2.9.7 and tested it. The bug is partially fixed, but it's still behaving incorrectly, and in very weird ways. Example II from this bug report works fine now. Example I is still not correct. Let me describe it again as Example III: Example III --- 1. open a blank spreadsheet 2. enter the following into cells A1-A3: 12/12/2007 12-12-2007 12.12.2007 3. Change the format of those 3 cells to Date, with format string set to the long system date format (see screenshot #1) BUG #1: the system date format shown is an English one, although my system settings (also in KDE's System Settings) are set to pl-PL with a completely different date format than what Calligra shows. BUG #2: only cell A1 gets formatted as date ("Wednesday 12 of December 2007"), although it's A3 which follows my system short date format. 4. Save, close and reopen the spreadsheet BUG #3: all 3 cells have format changed to Date, with format string set to the *short* system date format (it was the *long* format before) 5. Cell A1 is corrupt: BUG #4: A1's display value is now actually formatted in Polish (presumably following my system settings of pl-PL) and shows "środa 12 grudnia2007", but: - it is missing a space before the year - it still doesn't follow either the short or long date format I have set in KDE's settings (see screenshot #2) BUG #5: A1's edit field contains the text "Wednesday 12 of December 2007" instead of "12/12/2007", so it's impossible to edit the original entered value 6. Change A1's format to the system *long* date format again 7. Save, close and reopen the spreadsheet 8. Select A1 BUG #6: both the edit field and display value show "środa 12 grudnia2007" now 9. Enter "1" (no quotes) into cell B1 10. Save, close and reopen the spreadsheet 11. Select A1 BUG #7: the cell displays "12/12/2007" and it's edit field shows "środa 12 grudnia2007" - it is *the opposite* of what it should be I'm sorry to say this, but after 11+ years, this is still unusable. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
