[kompare] [Bug 244665] Ability to disable automatic diff/patch parsing
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=244665 --- Comment #2 from John Baldwin --- I don't regularly run into this as often as the tree I'm using with svn doesn't have as many property diffs, but I just reproduced the weird behavior on kompare 4.1.3. To reproduce, run 'kompare 11_irqs.txt head_irqs.txt'. The files are output of 'svn diff -c ' for a change I made in FreeBSD's head (master) branch and a later change to merge that change (and some others) to the stable/11 branch. For 11_irqs.txt I had to edit the output of 'svn diff' to reproduce the weird behavior. First, I had to move the diff showing a Property change (on svn:mergeinfo) from the bottom of the file to the top. Second, I then I had to remove the 'Index: .' lines so that the first line in the file was 'Property changes on: .'. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[rust-qt-binding-generator] [Bug 400716] New: Build issues on Windows
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=400716 Bug ID: 400716 Summary: Build issues on Windows Product: rust-qt-binding-generator Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: other Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: demo Assignee: j...@vandenoever.info Reporter: sto...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY The shipped CMakeLists.txt in the example directory has some issues on Windows. Using Qt 5.11.2 and VS2017 STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. cmake -G "Visual Studio 15 2017 Win64" -DCMAKE_PREFIX_PATH=C:\Qt\5.11.2\msvc2017_64\lib\cmake 2. Open "Developer Prompt for VS2017", navigate to the todos example directory 3. msbuild ALL_BUILD.vcxproj OBSERVED RESULT LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'rust\target\release\\librust.a' [C:\src\rustqt3\examples\todos\todos.vcxproj] EXPECTED RESULT Build success. SOFTWARE VERSIONS (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: N/A KDE Frameworks Version: N/A Qt Version: 5.11.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The first error is pretty easy to workaround by modifying the CMakeList.txt to use "rust.lib" instead of "librust.a". Presumably a Windows convention issue. Once you do (and rerun cmake) you're met by a wall of linking errors https://gist.github.com/stofte/15f7cdfe0882b855f5082553ee020076. I assume rust is linking these symbols somehow? Eitherway, these are found in WS2_32.LIB and Userenv.lib. Adding these on eg line 64, makes the build complete successfully on Windows: list(APPEND Libs Qt5::Core Qt5::Quick Threads::Threads ${CMAKE_DL_LIBS} WS2_32.LIB Userenv.lib) Also want to add this is an awesome project, thanks for putting this together! [partitionmanager] [Bug 400540] KDE Partition Manager taking an extremely long time to start
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=400540 --- Comment #9 from Dal Monico --- It took me a long time to complete the operations with my server so I just got a chance to test the different kernel theory. I was using kernel 4.18, so it was possible older kernels did not display this behavior. To test, I disabled my mount and automount units I'd created for my NFS shares and disconnected from the server. Then I re-enabled my NFS shares in FSTAB, and rebooted into kernel 4.14. Sadly, the old kernel produced exactly the same behaviour with KPM for me as with the newer kernel. So, the kernel being a factor for this behaviour with KPM seems disproved. Perhaps that may be a factor with the gparted symptoms, but the person who reported the gparted issue has not provided the logs I requested to determine the cause. My computer is almost 10 years old, so compiling on it is not great (and I would rather avoid it). Generally, I try to avoid installing packages outside of my package manager entirely if at all possible. Please advise as to what you think would be best at this point. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kde] [Bug 161945] grave deadkey doesn't work in KDE apps
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=161945 --- Comment #4 from David --- This bug is still valid. I did a fresh install of both Debian 9.5 and Kubuntu 18.04 on the weekend and noticed that KDE still exhibited odd behaviour around dead keys. Depending on exact locale settings, I would have no dead keys, or dead key combinations would insert incorrect characters. However! I was able to solve the problem by modifying certain locale-specific files outside of KDE. I will describe below. In my specific instance: Keyboard: Canadian Multilingual Locale: Esperanto Solution: add the following lines to /usr/share/X11/locale.alias (package libx11-data): eo.UTF-8 eo_XX.UTF-8 eo_XX.UTF-8 eo_XX.UTF-8 eo_EO.UTF-8 eo_EO.UTF-8 add the following lines to /usr/share/i18n/SUPPORTED (package locales): eo ISO-8859-3 eo.UTF-8 UTF-8 eo_XX UTF-8 eo_XX.UTF-8 UTF-8 The above changes make sure that both locales and libx11-data are harmonized in terms of what encodings to use for EO locales. KDE is no longer confused. If other people are having problems with their dead keys in KDE, they should check the encoding definitions in the above 2 files, and, as an extra measure make sure that /etc/default/locale defines a default system locale that uses UTF-8 (in my case system default is now eo.UTF-8). As a concluding note, since the solution for me was outside KDE, this may not be a KDE bug, however it is worth remembering that it is mostly KDE applications (specifically Qt applications) that are affected by mismatched locale definitions, and Gnome and other environments don't seem to have a problem. I hope this is helpful. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[digikam] [Bug 400712] New: file modification timestamp is updated when images are moved to collection on removable media
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=400712 Bug ID: 400712 Summary: file modification timestamp is updated when images are moved to collection on removable media Product: digikam Version: 6.0.0 Platform: Appimage OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Database-Files Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: lai...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When moving images from a local collection to a collection on removable media, the modification time (mtime) of the file is changed to the current time. This does not happen when moving files within a collection or between two local collections. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a local collection and a collection on a removable media. 2. Add images to the local collection. 3. Move some images from the local collection to the collection on the removable media. OBSERVED RESULT The timestamp of the moved file is set to the current time. EXPECTED RESULT The timestamp should not change when moving files. SOFTWARE VERSIONS (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.13.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.50.0 Qt Version: 5.11.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I have observed this behavior with 5.9.0 and actually lost data (images from old digital cameras without metadata where the mtime was the only hint of the recording date). Just now, I reproduced it with the 6.0.0-beta2 appimage on a different machine. The "update file timestamp when files are modified" option does not seem to influence the described behavior. Not sure if it is relevant, but I have configured digikam to only write metadata to sidecar files. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[amarok] [Bug 400698] Impossible to stop a Jamendo stream
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=400698 --- Comment #2 from Aurélien Murith --- I use the layout which has both a pause and a stop button. The pause button just works fine but the stop one does not: it does not stop the player but makes it start playing the track again. This occurs only with Jamendo, when playing something from the local collection it works as expected. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
