https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402029 Maik Qualmann changed: What|Removed |Added CC||metzping...@gmail.com --- Comment #1 from Maik Qualmann --- Do you use SQLite or MySQL? How many items/images does your collection have? MySQL has become even faster, but we now recognize changes in sidecars and test for each file whether a sidecar is present. But that does not really make a difference in my speed here. My scarcely 5 pictures are always scanned in 2-3 seconds. Is your collection on a network drive? https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402034 Bug ID: 402034 Summary: Provide an easy way to restart KWin and Plasma shell to the user (from virtual console) Product: kde-cli-tools Version: 5.14.4 Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: aleix...@kde.org Reporter: leftcr...@tutanota.com Target Milestone: --- Flags: Usability+ there are several different solutions being suggested online and I haven't found a single one that allows me to restart both precesses successfully (compositing gets disabled, complains about no display not being found, plasma gets terminated but wont restart, or plasma gets terminated but the applets start to work in really weird ways) I find myself frequently needing to use this feature due to desktop freezing, either because of third-party software, ram consumption or KDE bugs (hard to figure out). I don't want to log out or reboot cause then I lose all my work. Due to it's single-threaded design, Gnome (on X) has a one liner: --replace KDE needs some kind of script but I can't figure out what that script should be. I suspect many users are in the same position (as evidenced by the popularity of this question and the variety of answers). It is also unclear whether the solution for X and Wayland would be different. People need a simple, reliable way too unbork the shell and WM in case of emergency. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389947 tty changed: What|Removed |Added CC||uk0052...@gmail.com --- Comment #5 from tty --- I have be influenced by this bug too. I am running ubuntu 18.04 and the okular version is 1.4.3 When I try to use touchpad to scroll, okular can work well at most of time but sometimes it randomly jumps several lines (in most cases, it jumps half page). If I am scrolling upwards, it jumps upwards. Or it jumps downwards if I initially scrolling downwards. I find that the old version okular in ubuntu 16.04 is free of this bug. This bug seems to take time to be solved completely. Does anyone know how to avoid its influence currently since it is really annoy. I tried to downgrade my current okular to old version but it seems that I can not do that in ubuntu 18.04 and I have to go with the 1.4.3 version. If anyone knows how to solve it, please tell me. Really appreciated! [i18n] [Bug 402023] New: main menu translation of digiKam
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402023 Bug ID: 402023 Summary: main menu translation of digiKam Product: i18n Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: de Assignee: kde-i18n...@kde.org Reporter: metzping...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- I'm opening a bug report, though it's more of a question as well. I am a developer at digiKam. At the moment our main menu is not translated, for me not in German and also Gilles can reproduce it in French. We write the menu entries in the *.rc files for "Edit", "View" and "Settings" (name="Edit") on the first letter with a capital letter. These entries have not been translated for some time. If I look in the *.po files, these entries are still present but commented out. When I lowercase them, the translation is resorted to by the system. However, the entries "Edit" and "View" move first to the left in the menu. Certainly, this should ensure a standard that consists of "File", "Edit" and "View". DigiKam but has no file menu and thus the position at the beginning is not really good for digiKam. My question: Is it possible to re-enable the translation in the digiKam *.po file? I realize that probably double translations should be avoided. Is there a way to prevent "Edit" and "View" from being automatically moved to the left in the main menu? Thank you Maik -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 401989] Unable to set shortcut for Special Window/Application settings in window menu
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=401989 --- Comment #3 from Ashark --- Ok. I do not know how to make a kwin script, but I will just describe an alternative way how can you set shortcut for this. This may be useful for those who have found this bug report. 1) Go to System settings -> Shortcuts -> Custom shortcuts -> New -> Global shortcut -> 1.1) there is "send keyboard input" action and we could use alt+f3, but it fails. I think this is because you trigger it with shortcut, and it starts synthesize keyboard input immediately, while you have hot released trigger keys. So we cannot use this way. 1.2) there is "command/url" action which we will use to run xdotool. Because of the same reason (interfering synthesized input with actual input), we need to sleep 1 second to wait until you release trigger shortcut. 2) go to Action tab and insert the following command without quotes: "sleep 1; xdotool key alt+F3 Down Down Down Down Right Down Down Down Down Down Down Down Down Return". 3) Set some shortcut on the Trigger tab. 4) Press shortcut and do not move your mouse, otherwise it will fail to go through menu items. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Simple way to see: xinput list-props on your mouse device. libinput Accel Profile Enabled is default 1,0. Changing to 'Flat' profile on GNOME changes this to 0,1. I hoped there will be some like 'if "Z" present then do "minus 7 hours"' but I guess it is more complicated than that. I can leave with manual adjustments.
