https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402115 --- Comment #7 from Michail Vourlakos --- 1. When the new settings reorganization lands the Dynamic Background options will be rethought, so open a new issue in order to discuss if this is needed 2. Latte will provide a way to disable colorizing at per applet basis but it can not paint selectively some parts of an applet. That is applet responsibility to support the new way of Latte painting just like Window applets are doing. [plasma-nm] [Bug 402569] New: WIFI switching almost always fails
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402569 Bug ID: 402569 Summary: WIFI switching almost always fails Product: plasma-nm Version: 5.14.4 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: applet Assignee: jgrul...@redhat.com Reporter: schwanc...@protonmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Copied from https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/a8xl5d/wifi_switching_almost_always_fails/ The issue is this: When I am currently connected normally to a wireless network and attempt to switch to another wireless network which is also in range, it drops the first, then says "Configuring interface" under the second one to which I wish to switch, and then after 30 seconds or so of configuring, it almost always fails with the message "the WIFI network could not be found", and then connects back to the first network. Why I know this is an issue: If I manually disconnect from the first network, and click connect on the second network without having been connected to anything, it works. This happens irrespective of which two wireless networks I am using. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Connect to a wireless network 2. Click on another wireless network OBSERVED RESULT Can't connect EXPECTED RESULT Can connect WORKAROUND disconnect first and then connect SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Observed in Debian Stretch and Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.53.0 Qt Version: 5.12.0 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Add user to group root and reboot 2. Type sudo -s in Konsole 3. Create a file somewhere in $HOME using right clic or copy / paste. OBSERVED RESULT Copied file is owned by default user but original owner group Ex: if a file owned by root:root is copied into the user "joe" home directory it will be owned by joe:root. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402557 Bug ID: 402557 Summary: On high DPI displays, windows are shifted when taking screenshot of the rectangular region. Similar issue is observed with kcolorchooser, Product: kde Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: tamius@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When taking screenshots of a rectangular region with Spectacle, the image is offset by a fair bit, and as a result there are some regions that I can't include in the screenshot. This appears to be caused by a mixture of increasing monitor scaling factor (Settings > displays) and font DPI (settings > fonts > force fonts DPI). The change seems to be irreversible (resetting scaling factor and font DPI to the values from before scaling factor was increased doesn't make the issue go away). This doesn't appear to be a Spectacle bug, as I've noticed similar behaviour in kcolorchooser as well. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 0. 'Force fonts DPI' should be checked. Value doesn't matter. Scaling factor should be set to 1. 1. Go to Settings > display, change scaling factor 2. Go to Settings > Fonts, change 'Force fonts DPI' to a different value 3. (Optionally) reset scaling factor back to 1 and 'Force fonts DPI' to original value. OBSERVED RESULT When selecting rectangular region for the screenshot with Spectacle, everything is offset to the left. KColorChooser picks color that's offset from the cursor, but in the opposite direction than Spectacle. EXPECTED RESULT When selecting rectangular region for the screenshot, windows don't get offset. Kcolorchooser picks color under the cursor, not somewhere way off. [gwenview] [Bug 402554] New: Gwenview upscales image on high-DPI monitors when scaling factor (in display settings) is set to >1
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402554 Bug ID: 402554 Summary: Gwenview upscales image on high-DPI monitors when scaling factor (in display settings) is set to >1 Product: gwenview Version: 18.08.3 Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: gwenview-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: tamius@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY On high-DPI monitors where scaling factor is set to more than one, gwenview seems to upscale the image by scaling factor. Image appears pixelizated. Issue is demonstrated in the screenshot. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Set scaling factor in settings > display settings to more than one (I use 1.3) 2. Open any image in gwenview OBSERVED RESULT Image is pixelizated, with jagged edges everywhere and generally looks pretty atrocious. (Right side of the screenshot/Gwenview window) EXPECTED RESULT Image is displayed normally, with no scaling applied (Left side of the screenshot/GIMP) SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 4.19.8-2-MANJARO KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.52.0 Qt Version: 5.11.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Judging by the image quality, it appears that gwenview rescales image twice. It seems the following happens: 1. Gwenview calculates how big the window would be if the scaling factor was set to 1 2. Gwenview rescales the image to fit inside a window of dimensions calculated in step 1 3. Gwenview then upscales the image to fit inside the actual window, using nearest neighbour (upscaling the image from step 2) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
