[plasmashell] [Bug 403666] Can't pin GUI applications started by script
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403666 --- Comment #2 from michal.kone...@packetseekers.eu --- Desktop file is executing 'teamspeak' script which starts ts3client_run.sh. ts3client_run.sh is setting few env variables and then starting the correct executable for 32 or 64 bit. I saw the same behavior on another flatpak (https://github.com/flathub/com.bluejeans.BlueJeans), which is using the similar exec script in desktop file. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[frameworks-kfilemetadata] [Bug 403710] baloo_file_Extractor crash at startup in KFileMetaData::TagLibExtractor::extract()
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403710 --- Comment #3 from Bruno Friedmann --- Hi Nate, thanks for the pointer. I will try to reproduce it, but it will be certainly hard. I'm using autologin function in sddm (aferwards my laptop is fully encrypted, with password to pass the bios step + password in grub to open the luks container). What I've seen is that baloo_file_extractor crash dialog box is the first one appearing on the desktop (plasma didn't finished its initialization). At the time of the crash, I didn't have a konsole or a desktop ready. So I will try to reproduce it once the desktop is opened with a start stop of baloo. [digikam] [Bug 241726] BQM Resize tool : make options more flexible
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=241726 Sambhav Dusad changed: What|Removed |Added CC||sambhavdusa...@gmail.com --- Comment #9 from Sambhav Dusad --- I tried reproducing the issue and I was able to resize the image with both the sides. Also, the image can be resized upto 999% of original image which was greater than 4000px. When we right click on the bar, it turns into an input box, so we don't need to implement that. There can be other fetures like some predefined set of dimensions and some user configurable dimensions which they use frequently. [Breeze] [Bug 379637] breeze-gtk should draw shadows for client-side-decorated windows
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=379637 --- Comment #8 from Martin Flöser --- My estimate for option 3 on X11 was about half a year of development effort with huge potential to break. Basically adding support for this breaks a core assumption of the compositor: x pixmap size equals window size. We support adding to the window, just subtracting was never thought of. Window placement, resizing, etc. all is based on the x window geometry. We use the variable in thousands of places - every usage meds to be checked for whether it's meant visually or as geometry. The reason that KWin doesn't support it is not that I don't like csd, but that we didn't have the time to develop it and that I am afraid of the potential breakage. The assumption is deep inside KWin - due to that we also don't support this on Wayland. In the standardization of xdg shell I raised several times the concerns that our code base doesn't support this concept. My concerns were ignored. I tried to write ShellClient in a way that the assumption doesn't hurt that much, but currently it's still there. Personally I would prefer if we would not try to implement option 3 for X11. By the time we have it the switch to Wayland might be finished and what's left is a broken X11 window manager. I will not review any change as the experience brought me close to burn out. Our design philosophy is form follows function. I think a working window manager is more important than good looking csd windows. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

While I can specify which identity to use for IMAP, I am unable to specify which identity to use for EWS so it uses the default. This requires that I set my default identity to my work identity. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Microsoft Exchange Configuration 2. Look through the tabs 3. Notice that there is no way to specify which identity to use OBSERVED RESULT EXPECTED RESULT In the IMAP configuration in the advanced tab I am able to specify which identity should be used. [partitionmanager] [Bug 403980] New: Partition manager crashes with segmentation fault when finished moving or resizing partitions
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403980 Bug ID: 403980 Summary: Partition manager crashes with segmentation fault when finished moving or resizing partitions Product: partitionmanager Version: unspecified Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: stiko...@kde.org Reporter: brucebl...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I am in the process of migrating my system from Debian to Kubuntu. I used the Kubuntu LiveCD (which contained the partition editor) to delete the old root and swap partitions, move and shrink the old home partition, and grow the new root partition. All partitions were ext4 except the swap partition, and my disk has MBR partitioning because my laptop does not properly support UEFI booting. At the end of both of the move/resize operations, the editor crashed with a segmentation fault. Because it crashed right at the end both times, no data was lost. I didn't have this account when it happened, but I can get a backtrace if it happens again when I finish my partitioning later. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open the partition editor 2. Use the move and resize operation on a partition 3. Click the apply button and wait until it finishes. It seems to happen every time. OBSERVED RESULT All operations up to and including the first move and resize operation are performed successfully, then the editor crashes with a segmentation fault. EXPECTED RESULT All of my partitioning operations being completed and the editor not crashing. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux: Kubuntu 18.10 livecd (I'm not 100% sure what's on the livecd, the software below is on my Kubuntu 18.10 installation, so I'm guessing it's the same there, I'll post an update if it isn't) KDE Plasma Version: 5.13.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.50.0 Qt Version: 5.11.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I have more partitioning to do. If I can reproduce the error and get a backtrace, I'll post it here. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[frameworks-ktexteditor] [Bug 403868] Bottom of text lines is sometimes cut off
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403868 --- Comment #7 from Thomas Schöps --- Could it be that the real issue here is that there is a mismatch between the line height used in KTextEditor and the line height used internally in Qt for drawing? I had a look at https://github.com/qt/qtbase/blob/5.12/src/gui/text/qtextlayout.cpp (line 2270 at the moment) where the text height is set as: qreal height = maxY + fontHeight - minY; with fontHeight: qreal fontHeight = font.ascent() + font.descent(); For testing I then replaced the font height setting in KateRenderer::updateFontHeight() to match this with: m_fontHeight = qMax(1, qCeil(config()->fontMetrics().ascent() + config()->fontMetrics().descent())); The old resulting value was 14, the new one 15. From some short testing it seems that this makes the related issues disappear (at least for the font that is used on my system by default). I don't have more time to look into this right now though. The Qt code also seems to have a mechanism to adjust the font height according to the glyphs somehow (with maxY and minY). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403978 Bug ID: 403978 Summary: oxygen theme incompatible with qt5 5.12.1-1 libs Product: Oxygen Version: 5.14.5 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: mister.free...@laposte.net Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I use archlinux, since a recent update of qt5 packages (to the 5.12.1-1 version) I notice that kde-plasma is broken if the oxygen theme is used, the desktop displays but the mouse doesn't move, and the harddisk led blink for a long time, the entire system seems frozen (but I can open a terminal with ctrl-alt-f2), if I downgrade qt5 to the previous version (5.12.0) then the oxygen theme is usable, no bugs, and If I use the default theme (breeze) then no problem with the last version of qt5 libs (5.12.1-1) so there is an incompatibility between oxygen 5.14.5 and qt5 5.12.1-1 STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. install kde plasma 5.14.5 2. use the oxygen theme 5.14.5 3. update to the last qt5 lib release version (5.12.1-1) 4. reboot your system 5. you will notice that kde-plasma hangs when desktop is displayed (mouse frozen) OBSERVED RESULT the desktop is frozen, we can not move the mouse, harddisk led blinks a long time EXPECTED RESULT kde plasma should not frozen when oxygen theme is used with the last version of qt5 (5.12.1-1) SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: MacOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: archlinux 64 bits, kde plasma 5.14.5 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.54.0 Qt Version: 5.12.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I use radeon HD4650 pci-e graphic card, with the open source driver (radeon), openGL2.0 acceleration in plasma settings for the compositer -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
