[latte-dock] [Bug 405687] New: latte panels go haywire with display on the left
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405687 Bug ID: 405687 Summary: latte panels go haywire with display on the left Product: latte-dock Version: git (master) Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: containment Assignee: mvourla...@gmail.com Reporter: leftcr...@tutanota.com Target Milestone: --- I have a secondary display attached to the left of the primary one. On disconnect, the panels from that display shift to the primary monitor (you can sort of see them as black bars the video - usually they have icons on them too). Furthermore, the screen edges are misinterpreted, and kwin thinks the screen is smaller than it actually is (as can be seen from the attempts to tile a window in the video). What I do right now is to just restart latte dock and KWin every time I unplug. This fixes the problem, though the windows still get squished form the earlier size misconfiguration. If you be able to reproduce this behavior with a secondary monitor positioned to the left. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Thus the projection is different before and after merge. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open the provided file. 2. Select layers: Layer 5, Layer 3, Layer 2, Layer 4. (For example: select layer 5; hold Shift; select layer 4.) The active layer must be layer 4. 3. Use shortcut (default: ctrl+E), Layer -> Merge with layer below, or right-click on the layer 4 (important!) and select "Merge with layer below". OBSERVED RESULT The result layer appears on top of the layer stack instead of the correct position. EXPECTED RESULT The result layer should be one layer below the top of the layer stack. [krita] [Bug 405684] New: Flatten image with canvas background color gives non-transparent background in result
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405684 Bug ID: 405684 Summary: Flatten image with canvas background color gives non-transparent background in result Product: krita Version: git master Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Layer Stack Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: tamtamy.tym...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 118935 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=118935&action=edit Example test file SUMMARY Background color is not saved in the image while flattening. This results in a wrong results if the background color is not purely transparent. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open file with opaque background color. Example file attached. 2. Flatten using Layer -> Flatten Image. OBSERVED RESULT 3a. The result looks the same as expected, however if you hide the only layer, you'll see transparency grid... which means parts that were transparent before were changed to the color of the previously selected background color. 4a. If you go to Image -> Properties, you'll see Background color set as black, 0% opacity, no matter what was the previous background color. EXPECTED RESULT 3b. The result looks the same, but the previously transparent parts are still transparent; transparency just look like a solid color, according to the settings chosen in Image -> Properties. 4b. The same color is set in Image -> Properties before and after flattening. NOTES: - if you undo flattening while having the new layer visible, the undo will be correct, including the correct background color. If you however undo flattening when the layer is hidden, you'll get all of your previous layers correct, but the background color will be set to transparent. - if you flatten image with transparent background color, but the value of the color will be different from black, after flattening the result will be correct, but the background color will be set to black, 0% opacity. - test file was taken from bug 405366 , just renamed. [digikam] [Bug 405537] Strange behavior with tag in attached file
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405537 --- Comment #4 from harald.a...@web.de --- Created attachment 118934 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=118934&action=edit Disappearing "Photograph Properties" Maik, Well, if you can't reproduce the problem, it's difficult. Nonetheless, attached a screenshot of what it looks like after adding a tag outside of digiKam. For this picture (and only for this picture), it remains like that until I restart digiKam. Regarding refreshing (I know, this was a different issue): Album / Reread Metadata is still very slow (about 1.5 seconds per picture in the album), so its practical use is limited. I wanted to suggest to add a context menu option for "Reread Metadata" for individual pictures but found that it's already there in the Captions panel / More. And it can be configured as being part of the toolbar. Ok. Which brings me back to this issue: Whenever I do a "Reread Metadata from File" on a picture, "Photograph Properties" are gone afterwards for this picture. Maybe you can reproduce that? Finally, the "issues with the character set" I hinted at earlier turned out to be not a bug in digiKam but in IrfanView that, through all the years I've been using IrfanView, I had never encountered. An update of IrfanView fixed that. Thanks for your continued support, and best regards, Harald -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405682 Bug ID: 405682 Summary: akonadi_imap_resource and akonadiserver crashe every couple of minutes Product: Akonadi Version: unspecified Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: IMAP resource Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org Reporter: aldo-pub...@laposte.net Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 118931 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=118931&action=edit akonadi_imap_resource crash log akonadi_imap_resource and akonadiserver crashe every couple of minutes. There is nothing much to make it happen. It seems it happens only when synchronizing my IMAP mailboxes, but I am not sure of this. There is a load of associated bugs in my kmail/akonadi, which may or not be related to these crashes: - following one of the crashes, one of my IMAP accounts has mails in its root folder (which is supposed to be unpopulated; of course I cannot delete these mails). - sometimes, after a crashe, the whole mailbox needs to be downloaded again (this means a couple of gigabytes to download!) - kmail status bar frequently reports errors (sorry I do not have examples now, I will try to copy one and add it to this report as soon as I can) - one of my IMAP accounts frequently loses its name and receives a generic name instead (such as "Compte IMAP 6", sorry the locale is French). - in kmail status bar, the agent filtering agent seems stuck forever at 0% - synchronization seems to often restart several times for a given folder. Sometimes the progress bar goes back a few %, then progresses again. - synchronization of big folders is always very slow (although IMAP protocol should allow for just downloading the delta, should it not?) - when I mark a message as spam (which should move it to spam folder), the message comes back at the next synchronization - spam seems never to be filter out anyway (although the bogosity field is correctly set up in every received message) All in all, kmail has become almost unusable for me in the last weeks. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE neon 5.15 KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.56.0 Qt Version: 5.12.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION My setup of kmail/akonadi consists in - a local mail folder - 3 IMAP accounts with local cache - a couple of calendars and address books (probably unrelated to this bug) Morover, the antispam (bogofilter) filters are set up. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 385522] Present Windows: Don't darken all windows and denote selection some other way than restoring original lightness
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385522 --- Comment #21 from leftcrane --- re HVM, you can make a big translucent icon overlay right on top of the windows. It won't actually obscure the content at all. When I was on gnome, I relied on this extension to make the overview usable for more than 4 windows (they become really hard to tell apart): https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/60/overlay-icons/ I can't show what my setup looked like cause the extension requires an old version of Gnome, but it basically looked like that screenshot, except the icons were much more translucent and didn't have that gray box around them. This happens only with OpenGL activated. Tablets have a very limited number of keys and even on a full keyboard that's a lot of hotkeys to memorize and jump between during painting. Solution: It would be super usefull to have one key that just toggles between those tools when you press it multiple times. It should probably always start with the same tool, which I'd guess for most painters (since krita is targeted mostly to them) is the outline selection. Alternatively adding a more general solution could be a great improvement in available tools for tablet users and a neat feature overall. This option would allow assigning multiple chosen tools to a single hotkey that would toggle between them. I guess it might be possible to make a plugin for that, but at my 0 level in coding this seems way too hard. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Run Kickoff. 2. Click on Applications 3. Click on Submenu 4. Click on application launcher 5. Start the application. When doing this manually, there is no problem with that. Whenever I hover over an item with the mouse, the item gets highlighted (a blue bar appears behind it) and when I click on that launcher, the application starts. This is what people want and expect. When I use an automated testing framework, such as OpenQA, the produced mouse click is so quick that the icon can never be highlighted with that blue bar. As a result, the machine produces a click on an icon, but the highlighted application is started instead of the clicked application. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Plasma desktop on Fedora 30. version 5.5.12 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: It can only be reproduced in an automated testing framework, OpenQA. You cannot reproduce it manually. I am attaching a video for you to see it. The task is to run ABRT, which means: 1. Go to the menus. 2. Click on applications. 3. Hit down arrow until it finds the submenu System. 4. Click on the ABRT icon - the orange emergency light. Actual results: You can see, that instead of ABRT, Kfrb (desktop sharing) is started, because it was highlighted. However, the testing framework really clicked onto a correcte icon of ABRT, it can be seen in the logs and on OpenQA screenshots. Expected results: Kickoff should open the clicked application, no matter the position of the blue bar if that click is too quick. [ksudoku] [Bug 405422] ksudoku live-git (commit 09814312d) small-game generation fails with "Unable to generate a puzzle of the chosen variant"
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405422 --- Comment #7 from Duncan <1i5t5.dun...@cox.net> --- Just a couple notes for the moment, pending testing of the fix, since the bug has been traced to qt5's tmpfile handling: When I first noticed the bug and when reported, I was on qt 5.12.1. Since then I upgraded to 5.12.2. Unfortunately that didn't solve the problem. On my system, both system and user tmp are tmpfs, so the copy from installed to a tmpfile is cross-filesystem. It's possible that may be the complicating factor that explains why I have the bug while others on qt 5.12.x may not. (Apparently one tester had a single filesystem containing both the installation and tmp, so it wasn't a cross-filesystem copy for him.) It's now my weekend and I should be doing routine system and git-build updates later today or tomorrow. If the potential fix isn't on master before that I plan on switching branches and verifying the fix one way or the other, so we should have confirmation then. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Stop the ContentIndexer (bug 373430) 2. Remove all scheduled indexing of files that should not be indexed 3. Check for stale index entries. Those includes documents marked for indexing, that should be removed (because of that we need to do it inside `scheduleIndexing` before content indexing) 4. Finally, check for unindexed files (if new files were added) (based on {D15939}). Also note that `IndexCleaner` should clean all files, not just those inside `includeFolders` Test Plan: Seems to be working. But it would be nice to test it more. 1. Add large folder to config. `baloo_file` start indexing it. 2. Add it to exclude list. `baloo_file` stops indexing it, and removes entries from DB. 3. Remove it from exclude list. `baloo_file` starts indexing it again.
