[konsole] [Bug 405798] New: Konsole becomes unusable after a search is made, even after cancellation
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405798 Bug ID: 405798 Summary: Konsole becomes unusable after a search is made, even after cancellation Product: konsole Version: 18.12.2 Platform: Compiled Sources OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: history Assignee: konsole-de...@kde.org Reporter: awil...@adelielinux.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Let us assume we have a large scrollback buffer in a Konsole tab, from compiling a lot of packages. (I am a distro package maintainer.) Let us also assume I need to search the scrollback for a phrase. So I use Konsole's search functionality. I type in a phrase ("libjni" in this case). It scrolls to the result after a considerable amount of time, highlighting it in red. The entire Konsole process is very laggy and unresponsive (even in other tabs) during this time; even switching tabs takes multiple seconds. Even after closing the search view, Konsole continues to be laggy for at least 10 minutes until it finally finishes. All the while, the terminal tab shows "activity" (possibly highlighting other matches? not sure) even though there is no activity happening in that terminal tab. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Build software in a Konsole tab. Lots of scrollback; my example had 173 MB of history. 2. Attempt a search in the tab. 3. Close / cancel the search. OBSERVED RESULT Still extremely laggy for minutes. EXPECTED RESULT No more lag after the search is closed or cancelled, even if the rest of history has not been searched yet. [kdeconnect] [Bug 375644] Unable to pair kdeconnect when connecting via OpenVPN, even if specifying hostname or IP address
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375644 --- Comment #14 from Keith Zubot-Gephart --- I do intend on trying to bludgeon an OpenVPN and routing setup at work this week (hopefully Monday if nothing else gets in the way) into accomplishing this. I'm still somewhat unsure that this is entirely possible with my own setup, however; Erik Duisters' solution including removing a masquerade rule making all traffic appear to be coming from the VPN server doesn't apply to my case, where each VPN client in fact gets its own IP address. That a lack of an applicable routing rule is nonetheless stymieing me doesn't seem entirely unlikely; however I've tried setting one from the host PC and added the hostname in the Android app and seen no success. (All of this would be abrogated, at least in scenarios identical in practice to mine, by bluetooth support finally landing, which I'm *also* looking to try out this week although I know it's far from actually ready yet.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdeconnect] [Bug 405788] New: Cannot browse handheld from desktop
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405788 Bug ID: 405788 Summary: Cannot browse handheld from desktop Product: kdeconnect Version: 1.0 Platform: Debian stable OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: common Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com Reporter: gcab_d...@libero.it Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I am running Debian 9.8 amd64 with KDE, and installed KdeConnect in the version provided by Debian. Everything works fine on the phone side (Honor 7), right upon connecting. On the desktop side, I can ring the phone and share clipboard. When trying to browse it,instead, while I correctly get the device listed on Dolphin (and Konqueror and Krusader), the content is just a folder with a strange denomination (5D67-6224). Trying to open it I get the message: "Error: The file or folder /home/giuliano/.config/kdeconnect/1ee2f76378eb5b6a/kdeconnect_sftp/1ee2f76378eb5b6a/5D67-6224 does not exist." And in fact that folder does not exist. STEPS TO REPRODUCE As said above. The error repeat always, and with the same folder name. Installing the files suggested with KdeConnect does not change the situation. OBSERVED RESULT EXPECTED RESULT Being able to browse the phone is of course a major feature of such a wonderful instrument, for which I congratulate and thank you for your work. Please give some hint on how to solve the problem, even considering that the connection via usb cable does not work (the connection goes up an down), so I have no way to browse the phone. [krita] [Bug 405787] New: Cursor not working anymore after moving the cursor off the canvas and back
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405787 Bug ID: 405787 Summary: Cursor not working anymore after moving the cursor off the canvas and back Product: krita Version: git master Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Usability Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: tak...@gelbfuchs.de Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY If you use a tablet (wacom pro in my case) and use the stylus to move the cursor off the canvas, for example to the dockers, it stops working on the canvas. The cursor is missing (like klicking or using the side buttons) doesn't work anymore, except in the dockers. Activating any menu item or doing something in the dockers (like changing layers) usually brings the cursor back. Sometimes the cursor doesn't break but it's still often enough to make it hard to work with Krita at the moment. The Tablet is working fine in other applications and outside Krita. Might be related to Bug 405369, since they appear at the same time and moving the mouse for a second, brings back the cursor and the pen is working again. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Use the Stylus to move the cursor to the docker. Clicking anything is not needed, just hovering over some UI-Elements is usually enough. 2. Use the Stylus to move the cursor back to the canvas. 3. Try to paint. OBSERVED RESULT Cursor is missing, and nothing happens. EXPECTED RESULT Cursor should be visible and Pen-Buttons should work. [kdenlive] [Bug 405784] New: Cannot reopen project when videos are in same folder as project.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405784 Bug ID: 405784 Summary: Cannot reopen project when videos are in same folder as project. Product: kdenlive Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: User Interface Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: mich...@moekadu.de Target Milestone: --- STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open kdenlive, import a video 2. Save the project in exactly the same folder as where the video is 3. Close kdenlive. 4. Reopen kdenlive and load the project. OBSERVED RESULT The videos are not loaded correctly (invalid video) EXPECTED RESULT Videos should be correctly loaded WHAT I FOUND OUT SO FAR: It appears that when saving the project in the same folder as the video, kdenlive will not use the absolute path of the video but the relative path. Then it fails finding these videos with relative paths when reopening the project. I tested this on Ubuntu 18.10 and Fedora 29 with the AppImage packages (stable and refactoring), as well as with the native Ubuntu package. Result is always the same. As soon, as I store the project in another folder as where the videos are, everything is fine (project-file uses now absolute paths). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
