https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405847 Bug ID: 405847 Summary: SFTP corrupts DNG files Product: kdeconnect Version: unspecified Platform: Android OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: android-application Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com Reporter: zhangchi...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- With 1.12.6 on Google Play and 1.3.3 on desktop (debian), the SFTP corrupts DNG files (but JPG turns out fine). This never happened a few weeks before with older version of kdeconnect app. Phone is ASUS ZenFone 4 Pro. Inspected DNG files copied with kdeconnect and adb. Corruption pattern is nontrivial, but the corruption always starts at offset 0x00038000 for DNG file with size 0x01614A7C. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Take a photo with ASUS's camera app, which generates valid DNG, verified by pulling files with adb 2. Copy file via kdeconnect's SFTP 3. Inspect the file with darktable or compare to file pulled with adb OBSERVED RESULT DNG file is corrupted/different from original EXPECTED RESULT DNG file is the same as one pulled with adb SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.14.5 (debian testing) KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.14.5 Qt Version: 5.11.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=254871 Nate Graham changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |INTENTIONAL Status|CONFIRMED |RESOLVED --- Comment #6 from Nate Graham --- So I gave this a shot. Honestly I didn't like the result. The mimetype icons were very distracting, and the Breeze icons for many mimetypes have no real meaning, so there isn't actually any advantage to badging the icon with them (this is especially true of the image, audio, and video mimetype icons). We could improve a whole mess of Breeze icons to be more meaningful (e.g. adding "JPG" into the mimetype icon for jpegs but even then, the icon is pretty distracting on top of the preview. I tried it out with various sizes and honestly nothing felt right. At a very tiny size, the mimetype icon was incomprehensible and useless. Any bigger, and it felt like it took up too much space on the preview. Overall I was left with the impression that this would actually be a regression. So I don't think it will get done, sorry! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Product: kdenlive Version: Appimage - Refactoring Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: Effects & Transitions Assignee: vpi...@kde.org Reporter: j...@cspv.hu Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY first off, I am amazed by the development ! really a new stage... so much thinking behind it, so much reorganization... thank you, and congratulations... I think we can celebrate the birth of a cool and professional video editing application... totally amazed... - - - as to the speed :) :) like "effects: motion / speed"... I am totally not surprised that it is not there at this moment !! :) cause as there is SO MUCH RE-thinking... this function can't just be left untouched :) in any case, my suggestion -- I'm sure it is totally BANAL -- still, I think you know it better than anyone how great it would be if SPEED and DIRECTION of playing could be taken separately... which is already NOT a new thing in kdenlive... see "clip in project bin, right click, / clip jobs / duplicate clip with speed change" --- hmm what I was about to refer to is missing... the tickable "reverse" checkbox ... --- in any case, this is NOT new in kdenlive... so I'm only saying that it would be, indeed, GREAT if speed and direction were handled separately... very probably the should be two different effects... but I'm only guessing... in any case, THANKS and congratulations to this huge breakthrough !!! Here it works fine!!! It is also Ubuntu 18.10, but other Desktop (budgie instead of gnome). So, I am sorry, that this is not really reproducable :-(. For completeness, I added again a description of the problem, but note, that even I cannot produce it on other computers! I opened the project file with an editor and when I store the project in the same folder as the video, the project file refers to the plain file name of the video (no prepended path). When saving the project at another place and then open the project file, I can see the absolute path of the video there. First case fails to reopen. Actually it opens and shows the video still there, but it won't play. When trying to reload the video I get the message, that the video is invalid and it will be removed ... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Sorry, my mistake - I just realized the escape sequence would need to be send to screen-controlled pty, not konsole's. This would be pretty big hack. > If you really wish to go this direction, maybe you could make it independent > from clearing the screen, and instead allow to specify arbitrary remapping > based on the running application (and perhaps other circumstances too)? > > E.g. if vim is running then Shift+Ctrl+W, instead of closing the tab, could > emit `:qEnter`, or sure you can come up with other ideas along these lines. This could be done with some shortcut managers (e.g. KDE's Custom Shortcuts) - the only problem is to detect program inside terminal in other way than setting its name as a part of a window title. The first question is a duplicate, the second one not a bug/not fixable. Am I missing something? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[systemsettings] [Bug 402790] Systemsettings applications launching as standalone application
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402790 --- Comment #10 from dagobert...@mailbox.org --- I would also like to see the behavior Claudius Ellsel was describing. For me it is confusing when I search for a setting via krunner and don't get it right the first time. Because then I have to search once more or open up System Settings to look for the right setting. Also, if I found the right setting with a tool like krunner, I would now see in which category I have to look for, when I open System Settings the next time. If the (one) settings application behaves the same each time, it is easier for me to learn how to use it properly, instead of dealing with System Settings and multiple little settings applications. Does that make any sense? ;) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
