[kxkb] [Bug 408855] Added language layout doesn't appear in language list

2019-06-29 Thread Konstantin Kharlamov
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408855

--- Comment #6 from Konstantin Kharlamov  ---
So, at this point all other problems are solved, the only thing that left is
the one that bugreport is all about: adding new layouts in systemsettings5 does
not do anything. If add APL layout and press Apply, the plasma widget for
layouts still only shows ones that were earlier.

[plasma-nm] [Bug 409323] New: Revoke "Network Disconnected" notification once the network is re-connected

2019-06-29 Thread Nate Graham
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409323

Bug ID: 409323
   Summary: Revoke "Network Disconnected" notification once the
network is re-connected
   Product: plasma-nm
   Version: 5.16.2
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general

  Reporter: n...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 121228
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=121228=edit
How my notification history looks most of the time

My notification history fills up with "Network Disconnected" notifications
throughout the day as my computer periodically loses wifi and then re-connects.
The notifications become useless spam once the network has re-connected, so I
would recommend revoking them once the network re-connects. That way there will
only ever be a maximum of one (if the network is still disconnected), and most
of the time there will be zero (if the disconnected network has since
re-connected).

2019-06-29 Thread Konstantin Kharlamov
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408855

--- Comment #5 from Konstantin Kharlamov  ---
So, I spent some time debugging a dummy GTK app, and I figured that, at least,
an IM getting switched on Shift+Space is caused by uim getting used. Why and
how — no idea. I'd be okay with that though, weren't it causing problems on
KDE.

For Shift+Space I reported to uim https://github.com/uim/uim/issues/147,
hopefully the problem is almost solved.

The widget style is provided by the underlaying Qt libraries and/or KDE
theming. It is required to investigate how to change this style on Windows.

As a workaround to switch off the transaction form (Settings-Configure
KMymoney->Ledger->Show transaction form)

   Summary: Editable location bar history drop down shows only
current view
   Product: dolphin
   Version: 18.12.3
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: bars: location

Screenshots of Dolphin on both systems.

SUMMARY
With version 18.12.3 of Dolphin, when using the location bar in 'editable
mode,' the history drop down shows only the current view. History is not
shown. In older versions, for example 17.12.3, this drop down showed the
webdavs, ftp, and local locations I had entered and visited.

SYSTEM WITH ISSUE:
* Linux OS: openSUSE Leap 15.1
* Dolphin Version: 18.12.3
* KDE Plasma Version: 5.12.8
* KDE Frameworks Version: 5.55.0
* Qt Version: 5.9.7

SYSTEM THAT WORKS AS EXPECTED:
* Linux OS: openSUSE Leap 15.0
* Dolphin Version: 17.12.3
* KDE Plasma Version: 5.12.8
* KDE Frameworks Version: 5.45.0
* Qt Version: 5.9.4

Is there maybe a fork of kmail that doesn't pander to the pathetic?

Removing settings is patronising to new users and annoying to everyone else.
As to the "security" justification, that is the user's responsibility if they
choose to disable the bar and then blindly click on emails, not yours.

At the very least make it a bit less 'in your face' - other email clients seem
to manage without a big ugly vertical text thing there.

--- Comment #14 from Dominik Haumann  ---
Git commit 6bbbe6aa51c0a293a58dbca6223e37a73ce32122 by Dominik Haumann, on
behalf of Robert Hoffmann.
Committed on 29/06/2019 at 20:26.
Pushed by dhaumann into branch 'master'.

Fix empty pages in print preview and lines printed twice

Summary:
There were errors if a page's last line is too long and needs to be
wrapped into two or more lines:
- The first line of the wrapped lines was printed correctly at the end
  of the page, but on the next page this first line was printed again.
- In print preview the first wrapped line was shown correctly at the
  end of the page, but the next and following pages were empty.

Reasons:
- remainder variable was always 0
- clipping was not reset

Test Plan:
In Kate, open a text file that has long lines. Check lines at page ends
which are wrapped to the next page. Check printing and print preview.

[kate] [Bug 407103] "Quick Open" useless in kate 18.12.3

2019-06-29 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407103

--- Comment #26 from nfx...@gmail.com ---
I'd like to investigate whether the performance of this could be improved. My
change doesn't make it slower, but it's something that probably needs to be
done, and it might require intrusive changes.

If you use the project plugin with a very large project, quick open can take
unacceptably long. I tested with the linux kernel (~65k files, ~130ms, feels
annoying) and chromium (~300k files, ~800ms, not really acceptable). I suspect
it spends at least half of the time in QFileInfo or QUrl, but not sure yet.

(There was some time when kate essentially froze even on the linux kernel,
which I think provoked the change that unfortunately resulted in this bug
report?)

Michal Humpula, if you open "quick open", and hit enter, it's supposed to jump
to the previous file. Since the list entries are sorted by time of last use,
the first entry is always the currently opened file, and the second is the
previous file. I think this behavior is very useful, since it saves you a
random "down" keystroke. The "Last Used Views" switcher works in a similar way
and selects the second entry by default.

Selecting the first entry is just a regression.

We could also just not display the current file, or put it at the end of the
list. That would do the same job, but maybe more awkward.

[kstars] [Bug 403896] Field rotation angle

2019-06-29 Thread Jean-Claude
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403896

--- Comment #5 from Jean-Claude  ---
Here is a photo of M81 taken at an angle of 117.89° with a ZWO ASI1600MC-C
camera.
KStars displays the right angle before solving.
But sets it back to 90° after solving.

[dolphin] [Bug 409309] No .djvu thumbnails in Dolphin

2019-06-29 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409309

--- Comment #2 from toon.peperm...@hotmail.com ---
The only way I can make Dolphin show some (not all) .djvu thumbnails is if the
.cache/thumbnails folder is shared with another Linux OS (in this case Linux
Mint 19.1 Xfce with Thunar) where I don't have problems with .djvu thumbnails.
In a VirtualBox with KDE Neon I don't get .djvu thumbnails either, not even
when I use Nemo or Thunar.
So very likely not just a Dolphin problem.

Login Date Language screenshot

Language/Region settings do not relate to the choices set in the installer

Version: KDE Neon 5.16.2 User Edition 64bit

Follwo these steps:

Start a new Install and enter the following choices
 - Please choose a language for this computer: English
 - Keyboard Layout: English UK
 - Region: Europe
 - Time Zone: Germany
After install restart and
1) See the Login Screen has the date in German. Not OK!(see screenshot 1)
2) Then check Regional Settings are not OK: (see screenshot 2)
 - Languages: None set  (OK)
 - Formats: Region: United States En_US (Not OK)
 - Numbers, Time, Currency, Units: Deutschland (Not OK)
 - Spell Check: American English (Not OK)
Then change all settings to English and UK
Then restart and see the Login Screen Date language is still in German. Not OK!
No solution was found to correct the Login date language.

Expectation
1) Login Date Language should be correct to user settings. No workaround!!
2) Settings should relate to user choices during installation. Workaround is
edit them after.

Exactly the same thing happens here for me on a recent Manjaro installation.
Quite frustrating. For now I'm using AngrySearch as a workaround, but I prefer
the baloo integration with KDE...

After I run 'balooctl disable' and 'balooctl enable', it rewrites the db and
works again for a few days. But if I run disable + enable and then restart the
computer... the db gets corrupted immediately every time.

Is there any error logs that I can check? Maybe I have a corrupted file
somewhere being indexed and it is breaking baloo somehow? How can I check this?

[krita] [Bug 409307] New: Comics Manager Removes Pages Upon Save, Also Crashes

2019-06-29 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409307

Bug ID: 409307
   Summary: Comics Manager Removes Pages Upon Save, Also Crashes
   Product: krita
   Version: 4.2.2
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: General
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: cadaverous.d...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I can add pages all day to my hearts content, but when I have one of those
files open and save it with new changes, it is automatically removed from the
comics manager page list. However reopening Krita and reselecting the json file
it appears again.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add page
2. Open that page and save it
3. Page is removed from the pages list completely.
4. Reopening the file completely, loading up the .json file again, it now
appears as if it were never removed. Only now it's at the bottom of the page
list vs the top (ex: page 1 should always be at the top, but now its not).
5. If you do not reload the file but attempt to reload the .json Krita crashes.
After loading up the comcis manager repeatedly causes krita to crash for me.

OBSERVED RESULT
Is Krita treating this as brand new document upon save, thus removing it
temporarily from the list?

EXPECTED RESULT
Leave that page in the comics manager regardless of how many times you save it
(provided you're not changing the file name).

[cantor] [Bug 409306] New: no access to local modules/files

2019-06-29 Thread avlas
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409306

Bug ID: 409306
   Summary: no access to local modules/files
   Product: cantor
   Version: 19.04
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: python3-backend
  Assignee: cantor-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: jsar...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

- I created a file called test_cantor.py and its only content is "print('Hello
World!')"

- All the following instructions work in Python 3 but fail in Cantor:

import test_cantor

import importlib
importlib.import_module('test_cantor')

import importlib
importlib.reload('test_cantor')

import runpy
runpy.run_module(mod_name='test_cantor')

import runpy
runpy.run_path('test_cantor.py')

- This bug can be workarounded in Cantor (with the exception of last
instruction that continues triggering an error) if I manually append the local
directory to sys.path:

import sys

flag_append_local_dir = True
for path in sys.path:
if path == '.':
flag_append_local_dir = False
break

if flag_append_local_dir:
sys.path.append('.')

for path in sys.path:
print(path)

- But this is not necessary in Python 3, so I think that Cantor is internally
moving to a different folder and can't see local modules/files.

- Could you please try to reproduce the issue and hopefully fix it?

- Please note that the error for "runpy.run_path('test_cantor.py')" seems
different as it cannot be workarounded. This is the output I get for the case
it is useful to fix this second issue:

If all else fails, we can copy your fix into the deform brush and make that the

[kmymoney] [Bug 405206] OFX import targets the wrong account

--- Comment #18 from Thomas Baumgart  ---
Git commit ab628d659ebcbea9265b62e8dc419c3bb20bbcb7 by Thomas Baumgart.
Committed on 29/06/2019 at 12:16.
Pushed by tbaumgart into branch '5.0'.

Use mapped account only if information is present

Using the OFX (file) importer may not provide information about the
account the imported data relates to. In this case, it does not make
sense to search for an online mapping. Doing so leads to false results,
as without values for account or routing number the first mapped account
will be selected which is wrong.

This change does not try the mapping if both values are empty and allows
the user to select the account as part of the process.

I investiguated about this problem and the only big difference between 6.0 and

I check the compilation log and i cannot see anything special which can explain

I plan to switch back to ffmpeg 3.6

I actually though the pre-selected second element was before by intention to be

I don't think that is harmful, given as soon as you search the matches will be

[Qt/KDE Flatpak Runtime] [Bug 409300] New: skrooge flatpak app lacks audio notifications, missing ogg sounds

2019-06-29 Thread skierpage
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409300

Bug ID: 409300
   Summary: skrooge flatpak app lacks audio notifications, missing
ogg sounds
   Product: Qt/KDE Flatpak Runtime
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Flatpak
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: aleix...@kde.org
  Reporter: skierp...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When I run the skrooge flatpak, the console shows a warning
  ##WARNING: Audio notification requested, but sound file from notifyrc file
was not found, aborting audio notification
and there are no sounds.
Searching for "flatpak" and this warning message suggests that the marble and
kdenlive flatpaks also don't play notification sounds, but I haven't reproduced
this problem with them.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. flatpak install org.kde.skrooge
2. flatpak run org.kde.skrooge
3. Click Accounts, create an account (choose any bank icon, enter Account
"test" and Number "1234" and click [+ Add]).

OBSERVED RESULT
The following appears at startup in the terminal:
  ##WARNING: Audio notification requested, but sound file from notifyrc file
was not found, aborting audio notification
And when you perform operations that normally play a happy sound, there's no
sound.

EXPECTED RESULT
No startup warning, and sounds.

skrooge.notifyrc specifies
  Sound=Oxygen-Sys-App-Error.ogg
  Sound=Oxygen-Sys-App-Negative.ogg
  Sound=Oxygen-Sys-App-Message.ogg
  Sound=Oxygen-Sys-App-Positive.ogg

strace shows the flatpak app tries to access these sounds from
  $HOME/.var/app/org.kde.skrooge/data/sounds/
  /app/share/sounds/
  /usr/share/sounds/
  /run/host/share/sounds/
and they're not available in any location, hence the warning.

In Fedora, these files are in /usr/share/sounds/ . They are supplied by the
oxygen-sound-theme package, 2 MB of files, so maybe that package should be part
of the KDE runtime the same way /usr/share/sounds/freedesktop/stereo/ files are
in the KDE runtime.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
flatpak version 1.4.1
Linux/KDE Plasma:
(available in About System)
^ from `flatpak run --command='kdeinit5' org.kde.Platform --version`
KDE Plasma Version: n/a
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.12.4
Qt Version: 5.59.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

I tried working around the problem by copying the four .ogg files mentioned in
skrooge.notifyrc into
/var/lib/flatpak/runtime/org.freedesktop.Platform/x86_64/18.08/active/files/share/sounds
but they didn't show up in the flatpak; I'm not sure how the "host" directories
are mounted.

I then tried copying the sounds into
$HOME/.var/app/org.kde.skrooge/data/sounds/ , which avoided the WARNING about
sound file not found, but... I didn't hear any sound, even with `flatpak run
--socket=pulseaudio org.kde.skrooge`.

FWIW kdenlive.notifyrc references two of the same sound files, plus a fifth,
Oxygen-Sys-Warning.ogg.
