[kio-extras] [Bug 409309] No .djvu thumbnails in Dolphin
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409309 --- Comment #15 from toon.peperm...@hotmail.com --- The command 'ddjvu' didn't work initially, Konsole suggested doing 'sudo apt install djvulibre-bin', and this solved all problems! The missing packages (on Kubuntu 19.04) were: curl (7.64.0-2ubuntu1.1) djvulibre-bin (3.5.27.1-10) libgraphicsmagick++-q16-12 (1.4~hg15916-2) libgraphicsmagick-q16-3 (1.4~hg15916-2) pdf2djvu (0.9.12-1build1) On openSUSE Tumbleweed the only missing package was 'djvulibre 3.5.27-3.3'. Now the question is whether these packages are present on the live images that Paul and Nate Graham are using, or whether they don't need these packages to view djvu thumbnails correctly. [kwin] [Bug 409338] Remember window size & position by default
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409338 Nate Graham changed: What|Removed |Added Status|CONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |DUPLICATE --- Comment #4 from Nate Graham --- There are two parts of this. KDE apps generally do remember their window sizes, but with the default Smart window positioning strategy, they do not remember their prior positions. It seems reasonable to expect apps to remember their own sizes per the spec, but since KWin can and currently does have its own logic to determine window positions, I think it's reasonable to request a "remember prior position" mode. I have filed a new bug to track that so it can be discussed with a clean history: Bug 409349 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 409349 *** -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 409349] New: Offer a window placement mode that remembers windows' prior positioning
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409349 Bug ID: 409349 Summary: Offer a window placement mode that remembers windows' prior positioning Product: kwin Version: git master Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: n...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- One of my persistent frustrations with KWin is that I can't get it remember window positions. When I move a window somewhere and then close it, I expect it to be in that same place the next time I open it. But currently none of the offered positioning strategies offer this do what I want, which is basically the following: - If this is the first time that window has been opened, put it in the center of the screen - If the window was previously opened, put it in the same location on the screen where it was when it was last closed - If a second instance of that window is opened, offset it down and to the right, as with the "Cascading" placement strategy (This is requested with Bug 58063) This would match my mental model of how window positioning should work and make window manipulation feel much more comfortable and natural.
