[kdenlive] [Bug 410382] New: fit Width in transform effect not working properly
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410382 Bug ID: 410382 Summary: fit Width in transform effect not working properly Product: kdenlive Version: 19.04.1 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: User Interface Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: evors...@protonmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I am using a bit of vertical footage in a larger horizontal project. It's footage from a cellphone, and a bit shaky. I stabilized the footage, and added it to the project. It's easy enough to zoom until the width of the source clip fills the project canvas, and the center horizontally and vertically buttons work fine... However, the fit width button does not work like expected, fitting both height and width. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Add odd sized footage to your project. 2. Add transform effect to the footage. 3. Click on the fit width button. OBSERVED RESULT Whole clip is fitted into the canvas. EXPECTED RESULT Clip to be zoomed and centered so that it's width fills the width of the canvas. Updated 2019-07 Built kdenlive from git Applications 19.04 branch, 2019-07-30 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I just tested it with a normal clip (not .mlt) and it still has the same behaviour, ie: not fitting the width of the clip to the width of the project canvas. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Spectacle] [Bug 410378] New: can't use Spectacle's Area dropdown with mouse on primary monitor
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410378 Bug ID: 410378 Summary: can't use Spectacle's Area dropdown with mouse on primary monitor Product: Spectacle Version: 18.12.2 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: General Assignee: m...@baloneygeek.com Reporter: skierp...@gmail.com CC: k...@david-redondo.de Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 121826 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=121826&action=edit Spectacle spans my upper and lower (primary laptop) displays. Note no dropdown menu highlight. SUMMARY On my X11 Fedora KDE Spin desktop, clicking with the mouse on Spectacle's Area dropdown field brings up the menu (Full Screen (All Monitors), Current Screen, ... Rectangular Region), but I can't highlight or choose any of its items with the mouse. But this only happens on my primary laptop monitor, the Area dropdown menu works fine with the mouse on my secondary monitor. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Plug external monitor into laptop, in the Displays System Settings Module configure it as second monitor. 2. Start Spectacle. It should appear on the primary laptop display, otherwise drag it there. 3. With mouse, click on the Area: dropdown, try to choose from the menu. 4. Now drag Spectacle to the external monitor and repeat step 3. OBSERVED RESULT On my primary (laptop) monitor, the dropdown menu appears but the items don't highlight as I move the cursor over them and clicking them does not choose the item or dismiss the menu. But it works fine on my external (secondary) monitor. Other drop-down menus in Spectacle ([Help v] [Tools v] [Export v] [Save As... v] work fine. EXPECTED RESULT The dropdown menu should work on both displays. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.59.0 Qt Version: 5.12.4, using xcb ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The workaround is to drag Spectacle to the second monitor, or use the cursor keys. My external display is an Acer B243PWL 1920x1200 over DisplayPort and my laptop screen is Thinkpad T460 1920x1080 (i.e. both have the same horizontal resolution). System Settings > Displays > Scale Display is 1.1 for both monitors. Windows have the same number of pixels on each display (see the screenshot with Spectacle spanning both displays), they appear larger on the external display because it's bigger. This sounds a bit like bug 363548. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410377 Bug ID: 410377 Summary: [Feature] - Latte dock breaks KWin Smart Window Placement experience Product: lattedock Version: 0.9.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: application Assignee: mvourla...@gmail.com Reporter: mvourla...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- The KWin Smart Window Placement experience considers all the available screen space and the windows that are shown in order to position properly newly created windows. Unfortunately this technique considers only the windows geometries and as a result Latte can not support it yet. Latte is using window masking in order to slide-out/in. So Latte windows are always using the maximum size that may be needed even when they are hidden. As a workaround the user can choose: Behavior -> Environment -> Can be above fullscreen windows Future Solution: 1. Latte can support the plasma-style slide-out/in that moves the entire window 2. When Latte is slide-out it updates its geometry in order to be with very small thickness and restores it before starting to slide-in -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410373 --- Comment #6 from Richard Ullger --- (In reply to Michail Vourlakos from comment #4) > BTW if you have a hidden left dock at the left edge then this SHOULD NOT > work with 0.8.9 are you sure this was working with 0.8.9? I have a dock at the bottom edge of the screen set to auto hide. The dock contains the application dashboard, separator, latte tasks plasmoid, separator, system tray, separator, thermal minitor. The separators do not show after upgrading to 0.9.0, but I'll report that under a new bug report. I also have a dock at the left edge of the screen set to auto hide. The latte tasks applet is removed. The dock contains application shortcuts only. Smart window placement works as shown in the already provided screenshot using latte-dock 0.8.9. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 410374] New: ‘Create Filter Mask’ button is inconsistently disabled/enabled
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410374 Bug ID: 410374 Summary: ‘Create Filter Mask’ button is inconsistently disabled/enabled Product: krita Version: git master Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Filter Layers Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: k...@huftis.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY The ‘Create Filter Mask’ button is inconsistently disabled/enabled. I think the idea is that it should be disabled for filters that can’t be used as filter layers (though I’m not sure which filters have this property). But currently, whether it’s disabled (greyed out) or enabled depends on the filter used to *open* the filter dialogue, not on the currently selected filter. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create/open an image. 2. Select ‘Filter → Other → Random Pick’. 3. Select ‘Wave’ in filter sidebar. 4. Select ‘Filter → Other → Wave’. 5. Select ‘Random Pick’ in filter sidebar. OBSERVED RESULT In steps 3 and 4, the ‘Create Filter Mask’ button is enabled. In steps 4 and 5, the ‘Create Filter Mask’ button is disabled. EXPECTED RESULT Whether the ‘Create Filter Mask’ button is enabled or disabled should depend on the *currently selected* filter, not on the filter used to open the filter dialogue. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410373 Bug ID: 410373 Summary: [Regression] latte-dock 0.9.0 breaks kde smart window placement Product: lattedock Version: 0.9.0 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: application Assignee: mvourla...@gmail.com Reporter: rull...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 121821 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=121821&action=edit Screenshot using latte-dock 0.9.0 Opening an un-maximised application such as konsole places the window 1 inch from the left edge of the screen. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install latte-dock 0.9.0 2. Set Window Management -> Window Behaviour -> Advanced -> Placement to Smart 3. Ensure no positional special application settings are set. 4. Start konsole on an empty desktop. OBSERVED RESULT The konsole window opens at the top of the screen 1 inch from the left hand edge of the screen. Opening a second konsole window places it against the right edge of the screen half way down the screen. EXPECTED RESULT The konsole window should open at the top of the screen against the left edge of the screen. Opening a second konsole window should place it at the top of the screen and against the right edge of the first konsole window. This was the behaviour in latte-dock 0.8.9 SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux: Arch Linux 5.2.3-arch1-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Jul 26 08:13:47 UTC 2019 x86_64 GNU/Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.16.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.60.0 Qt Version: 5.13.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The same behaviour can be observed using kcalc. Downgrading to latte-dock 0.8.9 fixes the issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[konsole] [Bug 407084] Changed behavior of profile shortcuts in Konsole
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407084 Kamil Dudka changed: What|Removed |Added CC||kdu...@redhat.com --- Comment #14 from Kamil Dudka --- I did not even realize this could have been intentional. I though I hit some window redraw bug in compositor or something. It took me hours to google this bug report because I did not know what to look for. I had profiles like "default", "root shell", "Fedora VM", "CentOS VM", "Debian VM" and have been using the profile shortcuts to quickly fire up a new session of the chosen kind. After the update, the shortcuts only change the title of my konsole window without any other (useful) effect. Moreover, it is quite dangerous when I have root shell of my bare metal machine in a tab named "Fedora VM". Could you please restore the original behavior that I used to use for a decade or so? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
