https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411099 --- Comment #6 from Maik Qualmann --- I notice that you keep talking about your blank search field. Yes, there is nothing in it. You understood that you do not have to enter complex searches over and over again? These can be saved. These appear in the list where the "Actual search" is located. Here you can repeat the search with just one click. The "Actual search" is just your last search which is automatically saved, this entry is started when the search tab is called up. Of course it can also be that something is wrong with your DB table in which the searches are stored. Then the output in the console would be interesting. [Akonadi] [Bug 404990] Sign in with Google temporarily disabled for this app
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404990 --- Comment #59 from Andras --- (In reply to Kishore Gopalakrishnan from comment #58) Oh my I just didn't noticed this cuz so obvious I'd love to use Google's supervision for login lol. Anyways thanks it works for me. Probably I've to use this option for now hm. Also correction, I meant it's not possible to turn on less secure app when there is 2 step verification is used and in this case Google gives the option for app password what should work for less secure apps too, well it doesn't work either. I used my accounts in Kontact with app pw for years and now I had to reconfigure Akonandi for whatever misbehaving after some upgrade and this message just started appearing for all of my setup. Anyways, I hope it'll be solved somehow soon. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[konsole] [Bug 411121] New: Provide options to configure the split header bars in the new split view
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411121 Bug ID: 411121 Summary: Provide options to configure the split header bars in the new split view Product: konsole Version: 19.08.0 Platform: Debian testing OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: split-view Assignee: konsole-de...@kde.org Reporter: eddiecarswel...@yahoo.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY First off, I'm glad the new split view finally landed with 19.08.0, so thanks for that. There is certainly room for improvement of this feature, however. (Isn't there always?) The new title bars that appear on each split view can take up a lot of screen real estate when there are a lot of splits. This is the main reason I configure the tab bar to be hidden and use the keyboard to navigate tabs instead. We need a similar option for hiding the split view header. This would allow for splits to be completely "headless" and not take up space with a bulky header bar on each one. We also need proper shortcuts for navigating splits like we do with tabs (Bug 43). The options could be to show/hide the header, or to change its size for those who just want it smaller. Maybe even an option to only show it on a view when the mouse is hovering near its the top? These two changes would make this feature much more usable and support a larger variety of workflows (especially for those who like to use the keyboard and don't like unnecessary UI elements cluttering their terminals). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open konsole 2. Make some split views 3. Look for option to hide split headers OBSERVED RESULT Split view headers are not configurable. EXPECTED RESULT Split view headers should be configurable. The former is uncommonly low, the latter is too high, because it resides in the hole of non-canonical virtual memory addresses on x86_64. Both traces from two different people show the same kind of oddness, that's something where one could dig deeper. Such an invalid this-pointer could for example occur if in TextDocumentGenerator::loadDocumentWithPassword, the QVector [] operator in objects[ info.page ].append(/*...*/) does an out of bounds access to the objects array. There's already some safety implemented if ( info.page >= objects.count() ) continue; but info.page is a signed int, and the check doesn't catch negative page numbers. So in theory we could fail here, unless info.page >= 0 is ensured in some other place. It's quite late. If you were using a sqlite database, and > found you had transactions which were seen in the ledger, but not in > reports, that is what needs to be diagnosed. Exporting to other formats may > fail to produce a complete, consistent file, but that is because there is > already a problem with the data, not because of a problem with the process > of exporting to a file, other than that it fails to notice the bad data and > notify of the problem. > > Using the sqlite database when you first noticed the problem, if you save > again as a database, and reopen the newly saved sqlite file, does anything > change, or does it show EXACTLY the same problem? Yes you are right, I got a backup with the first occurrence, there I found 2 transactions without splits. When I spoted the problem in KMY I was generating reports, so from there I generated KMY/XML data type files, these types can skip missing transactions/splits. As a consequence I could see ledger and reports working. However, when I tried to go back to sql the mess were there and became worse. I added 2 attachments: - UsingJustDB: Where I reproduced the problem described above. - GettingRidOfInvalidFirst: Where first I deleted transactions without splits and verify KMY working fine for same scenario. :) * consistency check for number of splits was a great idea ! * tks guys. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[digikam] [Bug 411099] Search: Avoid search without user input (void fields)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411099 --- Comment #4 from Maik Qualmann --- The problem is not the search in the DB, this takes only a fraction of a second, even with many items. The problem is, if your search wants to show a lot of items, this is still much faster with SQLite than MySQL. If your "last" search has yielded only a few items, the call is not disturbing either. As I said, we are working on the speed of MySQL. But I really do not want to see a dead thumbnail view and right sidebar, when calling up the search tab.
