[korganizer] [Bug 411373] Nextcloud calendar disappears
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411373 --- Comment #1 from Thomas Tanghus --- Now the calendar has decided to reappear. That's all good, maybe my Nextcloud instance was unavailable, but since the To-do view was able to deal with just the cached values, so should the month view be able to do that as well. Maybe sending a notification, that the backend is unavailable. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[frameworks-kio] [Bug 154499] Add a little eject symbol next to mounted volumes/disks/CDs/etc in Dolphin's Places panel
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154499 Jason Walker changed: What|Removed |Added CC||jason...@gmail.com --- Comment #13 from Jason Walker --- I started looking into this (first dive into KDE code) and it looks like the PlacesItem class is only capable of displaying one icon, which renders on the left, and the text, which renders on the right. Furthermore, it seems like the whole PlacesItem is clicked and activated as a unit. To implement this, we'll have to add the option for PlacesItem to render a second icon that is activated separately from the main icon/text. On the plus side, all of the code to unmount the drive and enable/disable the icon is already present for the context menu, and easy to pull out. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasma-nm] [Bug 411359] [RFE] Ask for firewall zone upon first connection
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411359 John M. Harris, Jr. changed: What|Removed |Added CC||joh...@openblox.org --- Comment #1 from John M. Harris, Jr. --- I think there has been some confusion here. Where exactly is the UX issue? How do you expect users to attempt to share files using a port higher than 1024 using a GUI tool available in KDE? If a user figures out how to do anything else, they can figure out how to open a port on a firewall. Not to mention that there are already multiple firewall management GUIs. I fail to see how the decision of the GNOME folks, which has been to ignore various serious concerns in favour of Mac-like "simplicity", helps with UX in any way. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Also, the log file doesn't exist and the folder that has the correct log (/var/log/samba/) is not viewable by non-root user. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Set up smb shares on the machine. [frameworks-kconfigwidgets] [Bug 373767] Changing global colourscheme leaves "Colour themes" menu in wrong state
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=373767 Ahmad Samir changed: What|Removed |Added CC||a.samir...@gmail.com --- Comment #2 from Ahmad Samir --- KColorSchemeManager creates the menu, and has a slot to activate a kcolorscheme, that's about it. The application using kcolorschememanager is responsible for saving the user color scheme choice, or treating it as transient. IIUC, the problem here isn't with KColorSchemeManager, but that application using it, is still affected by the system-wide color scheme change, and it only affects a running instance of the app, for example if you restart the application in question the color scheme chosen in kcolorschememanager will be applied (if the application saved and restored the user's choice) regardless of the system-wide one. Changing the color scheme via the colors kcm causes kstyle[1] to apply the new scheme[1]; the latter has an event filter; maybe apps can reimplement that event filter and reapply the scheme that was activated via kcolorscheme manager or just bypass the QEvent::PaletteChanged event. I think, ultimately the fix will have to be in the application not in kcolorschememanager. https://cgit.kde.org/frameworkintegration.git/tree/src/kstyle/kstyle.cpp#n95 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[bugs.kde.org] [Bug 411428] New: file-picker support links locations in GTK file dialogues from KDE/Qt created link locations
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411428 Bug ID: 411428 Summary: file-picker support links locations in GTK file dialogues from KDE/Qt created link locations Product: bugs.kde.org Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: sysad...@kde.org Reporter: edencor...@gmail.com CC: she...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY It would be great if a quicklink / location created in dolphin was consistently available in open / save dialogues for as many programs as possible. It does not, for instance, in vscode. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. install vscode 2. open or save a file 3. note that any quick link locations (think MyProjects folder) are not present in the open / save dialogue OBSERVED RESULT The open/save dialogue is default locations only. EXPECTED RESULT Quick links created in Dolphin /qt to be present in the open / save dialogue. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Neon Latest ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Brought this up on neon.kde.org IRC great info I got from there: current the GTK and KDE/Qt file choosers use different data stores, so links you create in one will not be visible in the other. however this is actually something we might be able to fix in KDE-land we might be able to use the same datastore as the other one, especially if it uses a FreeDesktop standard. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Committed on 29/08/2019 at 15:38. Pushed by ngraham into branch 'master'. [Notifications] Don't allow popup to obscure things in corners Summary: One thing that has been bugging me a bit with notifications is how close the pop-up is to the screen corners/edges. It's so close that it obscures various things that live very close to screen edges, such as windows' titlebars and the text input field in chat apps. The latter case is really annoying in particular because if you have multiple chat apps running, notifications from the app that's in the background will obscure what you're typing in the text input field of the foreground chat app. This patch fixes these types of issues by doing the following: - Adjusting the popup positioning algorithm make popups that are in a corner equidistant from both adjacent screen edges, rather than only one - Doubling the defualt distance from the nearest corner/edge The combination of these changes allows pop-ups to no longer obscure window titlebars and chat windows' input fields. FIXED-IN: 5.16.5 Test Plan: Top corner popup position no longer obscures window titlebar text and buttons: {F7259424} Bottom corner popup position no longer obscures chat app's text input field: {F7259425} Reviewers: broulik, #plasma, #vdg Reviewed By: broulik, #plasma Subscribers: cblack, plasma-devel Tags: #plasma Differential Revision: https://phabricator.kde.org/D23253 M +2-2applets/notifications/package/contents/ui/global/Globals.qml https://commits.kde.org/plasma-workspace/cf931ee1b4033dec9812bde1467e1329cd9d8628 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
