[dolphin] [Bug 412618] Crash when copying directory with the same name
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=412618 --- Comment #3 from pac.dlfis...@gmail.com --- Not sure which package actually contains kio. I went with kdelibs5-dbg. I should also add that the ubuntu repo only had kdelibs5 and libqt4 in the repo. The generated bug report has some extra fun "this bug report is probably not useful, 1 star of 3" stuff to it that I think is kinda cool! Maybe I missed that before. The packages containing debug information for the following application and libraries are missing: /usr/bin/dolphin /lib/x86_64-linux/libQt5Widgets.so.5 /lib/x86_64-linux/libkdeinti5_dolphin.so /lib/x86_64-linux/libKF5CoreAddons.so.5 /lib/x86_64-linux/libKF5KIOCore.so.5 /lib/x86_64-linux/libQt5Core.so.5 Unmodified repo file from minimum kubuntu install with closed source driver support $ apt search dolphin-* > dolphin-dev $ apt search libkdeinit > pkg-kde-tools [installed $ apt search libkf5coreaddons > *-data [installed] > *-dev > *-dev-bin > *-doc > *5 [installed] > qml-module-org-kde-kcoreaddons [installed] $ apt search libKF5KIO > *-dev > *-doc > *filewidgets5 [installed] > *ntlm5 [installed] > *widgets5 [installed] $ apt search libqt5core > *5a [installed] --- And I realize this is VERY off topic but there is ABSOLUTELY no way I would go about making a bug report for something I can't reliably reproduce nor would have any idea where to start looking for a backtrace. When I have Kate focused, the computer will randomly lock up and I'm forced to power cycle the PC. If you happen to know what files might be of use, I can take a gander and make an educated decision on making a bug report for this. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413211 Dmitry changed: What|Removed |Added Ever confirmed|0 |1 Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED Resolution|FIXED |--- --- Comment #2 from Dmitry --- Proposed fix does not fix the issue itself, just mitigates the most extreme case. Behaviour is still broken due to: 1. Configuration is still changes implicitly: * before editing: NetworkManager does not set ethernet mode * after editing: NetworkManager sets 100 Mb/s FullDuples 2. In some cases (1) leads to UX regression * it makes connection over gigabit link slower * it makes connection over 100 HD link no longer working 3. In some rare cases it leads to faulty condition * in case of (https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=205067) it's impossible to configure/preserve via GUI a persistently working gigabit connection. The only fix I hae ideas about is implementing this as a separate mode of a connection like it works in XFCE, where not only "Manual" and "Auto" modes are present, but also "Ignored", which essentially is the described above mode. Implementing this fix may require adding come code into networkmanager-qt as plasma-nm uses it to interact with NetworkManager. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[valgrind] [Bug 399584] Support macOS Mojave (10.14)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=399584 --- Comment #24 from Rhys Kidd --- I believe Apple made this change in an Xcode release (version 10?), not a version of macOS per se. However, it appears that for systems that were upgraded from older Xcode or older macOS releases, the previous /usr/include headers were left in place -- but freshly built systems would not have them. My primary development system is still on macOS 10.11, and was progressively upgraded from around macOS 10.8 or so. So for me here, these are the following copies of system headers that I can find: - /usr/include/ - /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs/MacOSX.sdk/usr/include/ - /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX.sdk/usr/include/ I have access to a second system, which was installed at macOS 10.13 and upgraded to macOS 10.14. [krusader] [Bug 401064] Temp files created instead open real files when comparing file content differences
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=401064 Alex Bikadorov changed: What|Removed |Added CC||alex.bikado...@kdemail.net --- Comment #2 from Alex Bikadorov --- Kompare is supporting KIO protocols. So simply doing the same "whitelisting" as for kdiff would make it work as well. (Done in KRslots::compareContent() i think). But Meld (actually also my favourite diff app) is GTK based and adding write support for it (and other diff tools) is complicated as Davide wrote. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[KScreen] [Bug 413174] 5.17 lost ability to detect other monitor plug in/off during a session
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413174 --- Comment #4 from Michał Dybczak --- Laptop's screen: Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 3520 x 1080, maximum 16384 x 16384 eDP-1 connected primary 1920x1080+1600+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 382mm x 215mm Secondary monitor: HDMI-1-3 connected 1600x900+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 434mm x 236mm After I unplugged it, the system didn't detect it, but when I ran command xrandr -q it blinked and recognized the other monitor is off. So somehow using xrandr updates the state but without it, it's not. The other way is true as well. I plugged in the second monitor, monitor detected that something was plugged and showed "scanning HDMI signal" but there was no signal because the system didn't react to it. This wasn't changing untill I used xrandr command again, screens flickered, the picture in secondary monitor showed up. By the way, browser and terminal window moved to the second screen although they were originally in the first one. One could write a book about multi-monitor setup inconsitencies and weird things. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[frameworks-kio] [Bug 413245] loss of data while copying
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413245 --- Comment #3 from Alex Bikadorov --- Well, can you repeatedly reproduce this with Krusader? And when you repeatedly try the same setup in Dolphin it does never happen? In this case it is a Krusader bug. But as i said: It seems very unlikely as Krusader is only starting a KIO::CopyJob which does the actual file copying on its own. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasma-pa] [Bug 413149] On the boot the audio play on wrong output
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413149 --- Comment #5 from Fagner Luan --- Oh man... I found another thing that I didn't noticed, even if I set the default output to HDMI, when I restart, the default output is set to my headset, but the sound plays on HDMI anyway. A another thing is that Falkon browser is the only one software tested that respect the choice on the notification, only in Falkon the audio plays on headset, Firefox, VLC, games plays on HDMI. I think that is something after the logon, maybe the applet recognize the headset as new output and set it as default, but without change it system wise. Maybe it should store what is the last used output, and after the logon it refresh. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

If you > tell me that it is working absolutely stable for you on Wayland, I might > have a special config or it is Arch Linux related... or could it be that > plasmashell will take latte down? unfortunately this does not help. Wayland is general is unstable in general with Plasma, it is considered in Beta state even for Plasma. Close Latte and use Plasma panels with the same applets you are using with Latte, after a while you will probably get the same crashes. Qt libraries still contain many wayland issues even with upcoming Qt 5.14 . My approach is the following for the Crash report found from KCrash in the systray when Latte is crashing, if the crash points Latte code then I am trying to fix it as possible. But if the crash report points to Qt/graphic drivers or Plasma then I am not trying to fix or workaround anything any more... When the Qt/Plasma stack is considered stable in the future then I will try to improve things for Latte implementation in wayland. In my system I dont use wayland... too many issues with Plasma/KWin and Activities are also not working at all which is based my main workflow, so I wait... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413232 Christoph Cullmann changed: What|Removed |Added Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED Resolution|--- |NOT A BUG --- Comment #5 from Christoph Cullmann --- I am sorry, but that needs to be discussed with the application maintainers. We use the icons they prefer. If you want different ones, they need to pick them. You can open bugs for that if you like (for the individual applications), thought I am not sure how well perceived that will be. As Kate maintainer, I can say I prefer the current icon, thought I have already the plan to get a completely new one that is more distinctive for the future.
