[kio-gdrive] [Bug 414219] New: Google Drive access not working

2019-11-16 Thread Lance Haverkamp
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414219

Bug ID: 414219
   Summary: Google Drive access not working
   Product: kio-gdrive
   Version: 1.2.7
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: elvis.angelac...@kde.org
  Reporter: la...@thehaverkamps.net
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Using Kio Gdrive Online Accounts. Trying to set things up for first use. It
goes through the motions, lets me click new account, connects to Google, Google
asks for my username & password, then asks for 2FA code. Everything looks like
it's going to work, but I can never get access to Google. The link that should
appear in Dolphin for a specific Google account is never created. The only link
in that ever appears in gdrive:/ is "new account"

I've tried this with both a Gsuite account, and a non-Guite account; neither
works.

Using KDE Neon: Version 5.17.2
Also tried in Kubuntu 18.04 (LTS), exact same results

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. install kio-gdrive
2. In dolphin Network > Google Drive > New Account > Create > Google > Enter
email > Enter Password > Enter 2FA > Allow > Done

OBSERVED RESULT
Newly authorized account does not appear in Dolphin under gdrive:/

EXPECTED RESULT
An icon in Dolphin under gdrive:/ to access your account

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Both KDE Neon & Kubuntu LTS
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.63.0
Qt Version: 5.13.1
Also tried in Kubuntu 18.04 (LTS), from a different computer, exact same
results

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

I have verified that the google settings for my account do allow third-party
app access.

[frameworks-kconfigwidgets] [Bug 414218] New: KConfigDialog wraps pages in QScrollArea; KPageDialog does not

2019-11-16 Thread Mariusz Glebocki
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414218

Bug ID: 414218
   Summary: KConfigDialog wraps pages in QScrollArea; KPageDialog
does not
   Product: frameworks-kconfigwidgets
   Version: 5.64.0
  Platform: unspecified
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdelibs-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: m...@arccos-1.net
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 123962
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=123962=edit
KConfigDialog vs KPageDialog - demo sources & screenshot

KConfigDialog, unlike KPageDialog, wraps all pages added through its API (i.e.
all pages we want to be managed) in QScrollArea. This is something unexpected -
either both classes should wrap pages, or none of them. Especially when
documentation (and common sense) suggests that KConfigDialog is a KPageDialog
with built-in config management.

The dialog with QScrollArea sometimes will not adjust its size to its pages,
even when it would be possible. This happens at least when resulting height
would be larger than 2/3 of the screen height. In this case scrollbar appears,
even when everything would fit without it on window few pixels higher. This is
Qt thing, but it does not happen when window min size is in effect, e.g. in
KPageDialog.

KDE HIG[1][2] recommends that config dialogs should not be scrollable, and this
behavior makes it harder/impossible on smaller resolutions. For example:
Konsole configuration dialog is made to fit on 800x600 screen, yet with
KConfigDialog scrollbars appeared even on 1366x768 (the scrollbarless window is
~560px high). This has been solved with KPageDialog.

Small demo attached. Please adjust `checkboxesCount` for your resolution.

[1] https://hig.kde.org/components/navigation/dialog.html#behavior
[2]
https://hig.kde.org/platform/settings.html?highlight=configuration#appearance
(this is for system settings, but regular configuration dialogs should be
consistent with it IMO)

Are you sure it's respected, it's not a valid Exec line as per:

https://specifications.freedesktop.org/desktop-entry-spec/desktop-entry-spec-1.0.html#exec-variables

This should work though.

/bin/env FOO=1 /path/to/otherApp

if so, then there's not a bug other than us maybe needing some docs

I looked at the location you noted and do NOT see the file

Also I do NOT a have a directory called
/opt/digikam/lib/plugins/digikam/editor/ but could create one.
I searched the /opt/digikam tree and do not see anything Gmic related.

Bug ID: 414216
   Summary: constellation names and boundaries move in respect to
constellations for dates centuries ago
   Product: kstars
   Version: 3.1.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: mutla...@ikarustech.com

SUMMARY
When going back a long time ago, e.g. 500 BC, then the constellation names and
constellation boundaries move in respect to the constellations. They are no
longer within their boundaries. The names however still match the constallation
boundaries.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. start kstars, show constellation boundaries and names
2. enter year= -500
3. go

OBSERVED RESULT
constellation boundaries no longer match the constellations

EXPECTED RESULT
they still should

[digikam] [Bug 399923] Segmentation fault during face detection

2019-11-16 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=399923

--- Comment #242 from caulier.gil...@gmail.com ---
Maik,

The problem from this file can be relevant of the long time problem located in
DSharedData container and never fixed.

Look this clang report:

https://www.digikam.org/reports/clang/master/

==> Memory error; Use-after-free;
mnt/devel/GIT/6.x/core/libs/dimg/dshareddata.h; operator
Digikam::DImg::Private; ligne 120

And look well the analysis. Clang crying about this operator :

inline operator T* ()
{
return d; <== Use of memory after it is freed
}

...because the memory is released here :

inline DSharedDataPointer& operator=(T* const o)
{
   delete assign(o);<=== Memory is released
   return *this;
}

... when this detach function is called :

void DImg::detach()
{
   if (!m_priv->hasMoreReferences())
   {
  return;
   }

   DSharedDataPointer old = m_priv; <=== Calling
'DSharedDataPointer::operator='; Returning; memory was released
   m_priv = new Private;

   copyImageData(old); <=== Calling 'DSharedDataPointer::operator
Digikam::DImg::Private *'  BOUM
   copyMetaData(old);

   if (old->data)
   {
   size_t size = allocateData();
   memcpy(m_priv->data, old->data, size);
   }
}

The system that I use every day is Kubuntu 18.04 LTS.
Here the bug is present even with the latest patches
installed.

Booting into the fresh Kubuntu 19.10, however, was
a pleasant surprise - all aspects of the problem are
fixed: No artifacts on the login screen, no black
bar on the desktop background, no artifacts while
dropping widgets on the desktop.

Great - the bug is finally fixed!

I'm hoping that the version of Plasma used in Kubuntu
19.10 will be backported to Kubuntu 18.04.

[konqueror] [Bug 414208] New: Cannot restore specific session

2019-11-16 Thread avlas
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414208

Bug ID: 414208
   Summary: Cannot restore specific session
   Product: konqueror
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: session restore
  Assignee: edu...@gmail.com
  Reporter: jsar...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

I want to open a session from terminal with `--session ` as directed
in man konqueror

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Save a Konqueror session, e.g. "current"
2. Close Koqueror
3. In Konsole, execute "Konqueror --session current"

OBSERVED RESULT

The following message is displayed in Konsole:

`org.kde.konqueror: Unknown class "" in session saved data!`

And konqueror does not open

EXPECTED RESULT

Konqueror should open and load the "current" session

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

I realized that if I manually copy the session content from its location to the
autosave folder, then opening konqueror loads the session.

This I think means two things:

- There is nothing wrong in the saved session and what fails is in the code
restoring saved sessions, but not in the code that restores the autosaved
session that works fine

- Adding the so claimed and popular feature request of restoring last open tabs
in konqueror seems quite straightforward simply by implementing the two
following steps:

 1. Avoid removing the content of the autosave folder on exit (if the option of
reopening tabs is enabled)

 2. Exiting Konqueror (and its shortcut Ctrl+Q) should close the entire
application (all konqueror windows) instead of the active window, which should
rather be closed with Ctrl+Shift+W as in Firefox/Chromium.

This step is important because otherwise the session is changing while closing
the different Konqueror windows, and then a user could restore no more than a
single window.

Wishlist
The thing I wish to be added a way to shutdown the application/KDE Connect per
say (so it does not drain the Mobile Cellphone). You can argue there are
procedures that puts it to sleep but I should be able to shut down the
application if I wish and activate the functions manually. At times
applications that is completely turned off is necessary for various reasons
(especially on devices that are active all the time).

That would be against the KDE HIG:
https://hig.kde.org/style/writing/labels.html?highlight=verb#labels-in-menus

So we can only either rename it to "Configure Keyboard Shortcuts..." or just
leave it unchanged.
