The only link in that ever appears in gdrive:/ is "new account" I've tried this with both a Gsuite account, and a non-Guite account; neither works. [frameworks-kconfigwidgets] [Bug 414218] New: KConfigDialog wraps pages in QScrollArea; KPageDialog does not
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414218 Bug ID: 414218 Summary: KConfigDialog wraps pages in QScrollArea; KPageDialog does not Product: frameworks-kconfigwidgets Version: 5.64.0 Platform: unspecified OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdelibs-b...@kde.org Reporter: m...@arccos-1.net Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 123962 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=123962=edit KConfigDialog vs KPageDialog - demo sources & screenshot KConfigDialog, unlike KPageDialog, wraps all pages added through its API (i.e. all pages we want to be managed) in QScrollArea. This is something unexpected - either both classes should wrap pages, or none of them. Especially when documentation (and common sense) suggests that KConfigDialog is a KPageDialog with built-in config management. The dialog with QScrollArea sometimes will not adjust its size to its pages, even when it would be possible. This happens at least when resulting height would be larger than 2/3 of the screen height. In this case scrollbar appears, even when everything would fit without it on window few pixels higher. This is Qt thing, but it does not happen when window min size is in effect, e.g. in KPageDialog. KDE HIG[1][2] recommends that config dialogs should not be scrollable, and this behavior makes it harder/impossible on smaller resolutions. For example: Konsole configuration dialog is made to fit on 800x600 screen, yet with KConfigDialog scrollbars appeared even on 1366x768 (the scrollbarless window is ~560px high). This has been solved with KPageDialog. Small demo attached. Please adjust `checkboxesCount` for your resolution. [1] https://hig.kde.org/components/navigation/dialog.html#behavior [2] https://hig.kde.org/platform/settings.html?highlight=configuration#appearance (this is for system settings, but regular configuration dialogs should be consistent with it IMO) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[konqueror] [Bug 414208] New: Cannot restore specific session
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414208 Bug ID: 414208 Summary: Cannot restore specific session Product: konqueror Version: unspecified Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: session restore Assignee: edu...@gmail.com Reporter: jsar...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I want to open a session from terminal with `--session ` as directed in man konqueror STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Save a Konqueror session, e.g. "current" 2. Close Koqueror 3. In Konsole, execute "Konqueror --session current" OBSERVED RESULT The following message is displayed in Konsole: `org.kde.konqueror: Unknown class "" in session saved data!` And konqueror does not open EXPECTED RESULT Konqueror should open and load the "current" session ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I realized that if I manually copy the session content from its location to the autosave folder, then opening konqueror loads the session. This I think means two things: - There is nothing wrong in the saved session and what fails is in the code restoring saved sessions, but not in the code that restores the autosaved session that works fine - Adding the so claimed and popular feature request of restoring last open tabs in konqueror seems quite straightforward simply by implementing the two following steps: 1. Avoid removing the content of the autosave folder on exit (if the option of reopening tabs is enabled) 2. Exiting Konqueror (and its shortcut Ctrl+Q) should close the entire application (all konqueror windows) instead of the active window, which should rather be closed with Ctrl+Shift+W as in Firefox/Chromium. This step is important because otherwise the session is changing while closing the different Konqueror windows, and then a user could restore no more than a single window. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
