Bug ID: 414284
   Summary: Improve Setup/Slideshow view layout
   Product: digikam
   Version: 7.0.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Setup-SlideShow
  Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: caulier.gil...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

The setup Slideshow view has a lots of options listed vertically.

Space in GUI is not optimum and require to increase Setup dialog size. This can
be problematic for computer with small screen.

A layout re-design using a grid approach will improve usability, as
Setup/View/Icons which use 2 columns to display all options.

[plasma-nm] [Bug 414280] New: Network Manager only saves OpenVPN password when storing unencrypted ("For all users")

2019-11-18 Thread Ivar Erikson
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414280

Bug ID: 414280
Summary: Network Manager only saves OpenVPN password when
storing unencrypted ("For all users")
   Product: plasma-nm
   Version: 5.17.3
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: jgrul...@redhat.com
  Reporter: kiwim...@runbox.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When adding an OpenVPN connection, the network manager doesn't store the
password supplied, unless using the "Store password for all users (not
encrypted)" option.
If selecting "Store password for this user only (encrypted)", then clicking
Apply, the password is wiped when navigating away from the current connection.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add new VPN via Network Manager > Add new connection > Import VPN connection
2. Input password and username to connect.
3. Choose "store password for this user only (encrypted)"
4. Navigate away from the current connection.
5. Go back to the connection.
6. Password has been wiped from the input field.

OBSERVED RESULT
Password for connections not being saved when selection encrypted. Only as
unencrypted.

EXPECTED RESULT
Password should be saved properly on both.

KTimeTracker is now ported to Qt5/KF5, however the Kontact plugin is dropped
since the KDE PIM team and I agreed that KTimeTracker is not very relevant to
KDE PIM/Kontact.

Thus, this bug is still RESOLVED as UNMAINTAINED.

  Platform: unspecified
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED

Specify that memcpy supports overlapping moves

This is used to positive effect in some cases for performance of XArray etc.
It would be a good idea to specify that VG_(memcpy) additionally supports
overlapping areas if dest < src, since memcpy explicitly states the contrary.

Ok this time I've spent a bit of time on the code to understand it. Sorry about
previous messages, I rushed it.

The problem comes from overlayedBackground that appears briefly at full opacity
when de-maximizing the window. In order to debug it, I forced its color to red.

But what's weird is that in only appears at the short moment when I reduce a
window. I don't see it shown any other time. Can you provide an example of
config where it should be shown?

[Akonadi] [Bug 409234] akonadi with qt5 5.13 is unable to initialize database when using the PostgreSQL backend

2019-11-18 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409234

Yes, the backend is different but the problem is the same, it's a case problem.
After upgrade to Fedora 31 (with lower_case_table_names=0), Akonadi said:
org.kde.pim.akonadiserver: "Sql error: Duplicate column name 'id' QMYSQL:
Unable to execute query\nQuery: ALTER TABLE CollectionTable ADD COLUMN id
BIGINT NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT PRIMARY KEY"
org.kde.pim.akonadiserver: Unable to initialize database.

Then I dropped the akonadi database and created a new one. With
lower_case_table_names=0, Akonadi start and recreate the database. Work fine
for a day. The next day Akonadi says:

org.kde.pim.akonadiserver: "\nSql error: Duplicate column name 'id' QMYSQL:
Unable to execute query\nQuery: ALTER TABLE CollectionTable ADD COLUMN id
BIGINT NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT PRIMARY KEY".

Then I tried with lower_case_table_names=1, akonadi says:
org.kde.pim.akonadiserver: "\nSql error: Can't create table
`akonadi_vin_new`.`collectiontable` (errno: 121 \"Duplicate key on write or
update\") QMYSQL: Unable to execute query\nQuery: CREATE TABLE CollectionTable
(id BIGINT NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT PRIMARY KEY, remoteId VARBINARY(255),
remoteRevision VARBINARY(255), name VARBINARY(255) NOT NULL, parentId BIGINT,
resourceId BIGINT NOT NULL, enabled BOOL NOT NULL DEFAULT true, syncPref
TINYINT DEFAULT 2, displayPref TINYINT DEFAULT 2, indexPref TINYINT DEFAULT 2,
referenced BOOL NOT NULL DEFAULT false, cachePolicyInherit BOOL NOT NULL
DEFAULT true, cachePolicyCheckInterval INTEGER NOT NULL DEFAULT -1,
cachePolicyCacheTimeout INTEGER NOT NULL DEFAULT -1, cachePolicySyncOnDemand
BOOL NOT NULL DEFAULT false, cachePolicyLocalParts VARBINARY(255), queryString
VARBINARY(32768), queryAttributes VARBINARY(255), queryCollections
VARBINARY(255), isVirtual BOOL DEFAULT false, FOREIGN KEY (parentId) REFERENCES
CollectionTable(id) ON UPDATE CASCADE ON DELETE CASCADE, FOREIGN KEY
(resourceId) REFERENCES ResourceTable(id) ON UPDATE CASCADE ON DELETE CASCADE)
COLLATE=utf8_general_ci DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8"

This is why I suggest to switch to snake_case tables and columns name, works
with all the databases.

If it's really an accessibility issue, it should be fixed everywhere we use

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414273

Bug ID: 414273
Summary: Kopete segfaults when going online
   Product: kopete
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: unspecified
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kopete-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: sh...@sorbom.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Application: kopete (1.13.0)

Qt Version: 5.13.1
Frameworks Version: 5.63.0
Operating System: Linux 4.15.0-66-generic x86_64
Distribution: KDE neon User Edition 5.17

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
At the kopete main window, I selected the "online" status to login to my XMPP
account.
- Custom settings of the application:
I am using an XMPP Account at im.koderoot.net, which kopete claims has a
self-signed certificate.
I had also recently cleared out my google talk account.

The crash started happening after kopete asked me to accept koderoot's
self-signed certificate
