[korganizer] [Bug 415005] New: Korganizer do not synchronize tasks nor events with a remote nextcloud server

2019-12-09 Thread Alexandre Bonneau
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=415005

Bug ID: 415005
Summary: Korganizer do not synchronize tasks nor events with a
remote nextcloud server
   Product: korganizer
   Version: 5.9.2
  Platform: Debian stable
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: alexandre.bonn...@linuxfr.eu
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 124414
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=124414=edit
The log when starting Korganizer

SUMMARY
The Korganizer is 5.9.3, not 5.9.2 as specified in the bug report, since that
version was not present in the enumeration.

Since mid-august, korganizer/akonadi stopped synchronizing (both ways) my
remote caldav calendar (nextcloud).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1
1. Launch Korganizer
2. Create a task or event
3. That task/event is never synchronized to the remote server

STEPS TO REPRODUCE 2
1. Launch Korganizer
1. Create a task or event with the web calendar on the remote nextcloud server
2. Check that the task/event is correctly saved with another remote client (ex:
Etar on Android)
3. Launch Korganizer and wait a few days
3. That remote tasks and events are never synchronized from the remote server
anymore

EXPECTED RESULT
Synchronization should work both ways.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
Linux version: Debian Buster (10.2), kernel 5.2.17
KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.54.0
Qt Version: 5.11.3

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Check the attachment to see the log when starting Korganizer.
This bug is major since the tasks and events are only stored in one computer.
If a crash should occur, and if akonadi just decide to clear the cached
events/tasks (I speak from experience ; you can search for the same kind of bug
from 2013), the data will be LOST.
In my opinion, this is even borderline critical, since this on the edge of data
loss.

Re-opening per the result of in-person discussion. We'll investigate whether or
not per-screen scale factors is an outcome that can actually work given the
technical limitations of X11. No guarantees, but we'll give it a shot. :)

[frameworks-qqc2-desktop-style] [Bug 415000] [PC3 ProgressBar] barSvg is not defined

2019-12-09 Thread Filip Fila
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=415000

As for solutions, just adding the id won't work since 'FrameSvgItem' knows
nothing about 'elementSize'.

I did manage to add this to 'FrameSvgItem' from 'Svg' and then after adding the
id the error goes away, but I don't know if that's the right approach (vs.
coding the implicitHeight code differently on the QML side).

Thanks a lot for helping me with this :)

Yet I can execute the first command… I have:

But the file exists and is readable.

> Add the following command to your .my.cnf file in your home directory

I have not such file. Should I create it ? (Will it be enough ?)

Unfortunately it's not always so fast. Mostly the time between clicking logout
and becoming logged out is negligible. However, in some cases it takes around
10-15 seconds or more on my machine.
Probably due to processes in the background which need to be terminated first.
However, this leaves the impression as if the logout had not been initiated.

If there's some feedback or indication that the logout is progress and maybe
additional information, which process/action slows it down, it would be huge
improvement for the UX.

[frameworks-kirigami] [Bug 414998] New: Kirigami about dialog is too small

2019-12-09 Thread Matthijs Tijink
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414998

Bug ID: 414998
Summary: Kirigami about dialog is too small
   Product: frameworks-kirigami
   Version: 5.64.0
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: notm...@gmail.com
  Reporter: matthijstij...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: Not decided

Created attachment 124409
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=124409=edit
Screenshot showing the problem

SUMMARY
Kirigami's About dialog/screen won't fully show the title. Probably related is
that it's not correctly centered.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the KDE Connect SMS app
2. Press "About"

OBSERVED RESULT
The text "SMS Instant Messaging 1.4.0" only shows "SMS Instant Messagin"
(without ellipsis, just falling off screen).

EXPECTED RESULT
The text should show fully, be properly centered, and either wrap or show
ellipsis.
Or the about screen should cover the whole application, like it does when the
window is smaller. (It still doesn't properly center the text in that case
though)

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Kirigami version is actually 5.64.1 (not 5.64.0).

[kate] [Bug 414997] New: Custom user syntax highlighting file does not override system syntax highlighting file

2019-12-09 Thread Russell
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414997

Bug ID: 414997
Summary: Custom user syntax highlighting file does not override
system syntax highlighting file
   Product: kate
   Version: 19.08.3
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: syntax
  Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: prusselltechgr...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

Cannot override a system KDE Kate syntax highlighting file located at
/usr/share/org.kde.syntax-highlighting/syntax/ with a user defined KDE Kate
syntax highlighting file installed at
$HOME/.local/share/org.kde.syntax-highlighting/syntax/ per KDE KatePart
documentation.

The KDE KatePart documentation is located here:
https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/applications/katepart/highlight.html

The pertinent text is:
-
The formal definition, also known as the XSD you find in Syntax Highlighting
repository in the file language.xsd

Custom .xml highlight definition files are located in
org.kde.syntax-highlighting/syntax/ in your user folder found with
qtpaths--paths GenericDataLocation which usually is $HOME/.local/share
-

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a valid custom asciidoc.xml file
2. Copy to $HOME/.local/share/org.kde.syntax-highlighting/syntax/asciidoc.xml
3. Start kate
4. Review menu paths: Tools > Highlighting > Markup and Tools > Highlighting >
Other
5. Rename /usr/share/org.kde.syntax-highlighting/syntax/asciidoc.xml
6. Repeat steps 3 and 4

OBSERVED RESULT
A user custom xml file exists at
$HOME/.local/share/org.kde.syntax-highlighting/syntax/asciidoc.xml

When the system xml file exists at
/usr/share/org.kde.syntax-highlighting/syntax/asciidoc.xml, the KDE Kate menu
appears:

Tools > Highlighting > Markup > AsciiDoc
Tools > Highlighting > Other > not there

When the system xml file does not exist at
/usr/share/org.kde.syntax-highlighting/syntax/asciidoc.xml, the KDE Kate menu
appears:

Tools > Highlighting > Markup > not there
Tools > Highlighting > Other > AsciiDoc

NOTE:

The user custom syntax highlighting/code folding file for asciidoc has a
language element with these attributes:

-
Highlighting > Markup > not there
Tools > Highlighting > Other > AsciiDoc

A custom user xml file should override the system xml.

I have just attached three snapshots, but I have other snapshots showing
freezing for different operations over a few months period.

That it is the newest version of plasma that is at fault is virtually (no pun
intended) assured by the fact that since I reinstalled Mageia version 6.1 I
have not experienced these problems.

At first I thought the problem was with the chipset, but the problems persisted
even though I had the chipset replaced.

[kate] [Bug 414996] New: Python HL does not highlight octal numbers

2019-12-09 Thread Matthew Woehlke
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414996

Bug ID: 414996
Summary: Python HL does not highlight octal numbers
   Product: kate
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: syntax
  Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: mwoehlke.fl...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Python HL does not correctly highlight octal numbers.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enter some text with an octal number, e.g. 'x = 0o07'
2. Execute the command 'set-highlight Python'

OBSERVED RESULT
Everything after the initial '0' is mis-highlighted.

EXPECTED RESULT
Octal number should be highlighted like a hexadecimal number.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Katepart: 5.64.0
HL: 2.22

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
My initial reaction was to fix this in the HL, but I see that is just using
HlCOct. I wonder if it makes more sense to fix (or add an option to?) that
instead?

Git commit cf3682662b4d6c7796b2c248b20d3fe9077a5658 by Agata Cacko.
Committed on 09/12/2019 at 19:36.
Pushed by tymond into branch 'master'.

Fix crash opening .kra with incorrect clone source

Before this commit, files created using copying and pasting
clone layers from one file to another would be corrupted
and crash Krita when the user tried to open them.
This commit fixes crashing on opening those files.
After this commit, all clone layers are replaced by
empty paint layers. (Empty, because all data is lost).

Hello,
this is just the feature request.

Please.
Consider implementation of support of 3d mouse (or spacemouse, mostly
3dconnexion devices) into krita.

(in blender world this is called "NDOF")

This is VERY handy for effective and ergonomic use in graphical software for
artists and technicians. (especially in combination with graphical tablet)

(And, sadly, the one, who try it once, is simply unable after then use any
other device to pan/zoom/rotate canavas..)

Thanks for reading,

The current blue background color for an hovered item has in my humble opinion
a too low contrast compared to the content.
Hence this results in a bad legibility.

This is especially the case if you open the details for your connection in the
Network Manager, as you can see it in the attached screenshot.
The details / bandwidth is very blue'ish while hovered.

Additionally this brings me to the next pint, which however should probably be
reported against the nm applet itself:
I am not sure if it really needs this blue "hover" background at all, if the
user clicks on a connection. I think it'd be enough to only draw a blue
background on the upper part above the separation line (which separates the
connection name from bandwith / details).

Has this step being confirmed to solved it. I havent seen a djvulibre package
both on the regular repositories nor on the AUR database.

I also experience the same issue without detecting any djvulibre document. So
the issue goes beyond that.

I would like to know how @Maxim came to this conclusion as I would like to

SUMMARY

In my workflow I use compilation flags saved in a GMail mail and copy them into
Makefiles which I open with Kate. A copy out of Chromium/Firefox and paste into
Kate with formatted text results in an added symbol around the once formatted
text which confuses the compiler and should not be there. This bug was
introduced around late summer/early fall this year - it used to work as
expected before.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Copy a text with different formatting from Firefox or Chromium into Kate (see
Screenshot 2)

OBSERVED RESULT
There is a trailing symbol at once formatted text (see Screenshot 1).

EXPECTED RESULT
There should be no such added symbol in Kate.

--- Comment #5 from daniel-other+kde...@dadosch.de ---
No I did not.

I just tried on a fresh activity: After the first set of two rotation, it
worked fine, but after the second two rotations, the widget position is wrong.

Tried it with another activity, there it was wrong after the first set of two
rotations.
