[LabPlot2] [Bug 417288] Zoom and drag in log-log plot is broken.

2020-03-22 Thread Andy Great
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417288

Zoom on log-log plot is now smooth, however if I zoom out too much to like
10^-300 labplot will crash, maybe set a limit to how much uer could zoom out or
something.

Dragging on log-log plot is still not smooth.

Git commit 26f4a2218f52f790d4de087216098619a753164e by Ahmad Samir.
Committed on 22/03/2020 at 18:05.
Pushed by hindenburg into branch 'master'.

[FileFilter] Create HotSpot's for files in child dirs too

When creating HotSpot's for local files, create them for files in the
current dir and for files in sub-directories too.

Re-format the code used to build the regex pattern for more readability
(easier for seeing what the regex pattern will look like, I hope).

Use a static QRegularExpression object, so as to only construct it once,
the pattern doesn't change and this should help with performance. Also
make createFileRegex() not static.

Don't convert QList to QSet, without actual benchmarking
it could be that QList is actually efficient here.

Use const where appropriate.

Thanks for your report.

I will see if I can find the issue but most probably will have to add some
logging capabilities to help diagnose that.

Are you able to compile an Elisa patched version if needed ?

In the meantime, I will have a look at the code to see if I can get some ideas
on how to fix that.

What audio backend are you using ?

Elisa can be built with support for libvlc or Qt Multimedia. I suppose both are
able to use alsa. I am not sure where your issue comes from.

I will need your help to understand and I hope fix this issue.

Thanks for your report.

I believe that you were encountering a bug that has been fixed.

As soon as an error would occur, Elisa would stop indexing your music. This has
been fixed and now indexing can complete.

Can you still reproduce this issue ?

Sorry for the long delay without an answer. I have done a very bad job here.

I believe this bug has been fixed (stopping indexing if an error was
encountered).

It seems on the log that some error happen with one track. Elisa would (in your
version) stop any music indexing. That has been fixed and should allow you to
import the other tracks.

If you can test again, that would be nice.

That's strange; I haven't installed any addons to my Krita. I'm pretty sure
I've got release, but I checked again after a complete reinstall (deleted all
data folders, temp files, etc.)

I still have AnimePalette, but I did notice something of great note for this
bug; selecting AnimePalette from the dropdown before using the Color Space
Browser did NOT crash Krita, but Krita DID crash when I then pressed the Color
Space Browser button.

[kio-extras] [Bug 419126] New: No thumbnails generated for cb7 comic book archives using compression other than LZMA(2) or BZ

2020-03-22 Thread Alex
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419126

Bug ID: 419126
Summary: No thumbnails generated for cb7 comic book archives
using compression other than LZMA(2) or BZ
   Product: kio-extras
   Version: 19.12
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Thumbnails and previews
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: alexander.sch...@yahoo.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
The cb7 thumbnail generation support that landed in 19.12 (to address
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410696) works, but only if LZMA, LZMA2 or
BZip2 compression is used. No thumbnails are generated if the cb7 archive is
compressed with Deflate, Deflate64, Copy or PPMd.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Compress an image (of a supported format such as JPG or PNG) with `7z` into
a cb7 archive:
 for m in {lzma,lzma2,ppmd,deflate,deflate64,copy,bzip2}; do 7z a -m0=$m
test-$m.cb7 filename.png; done
2. Enable previews in Dolphin
2. Navigate to the directory containing the new files in Dolphin

OBSERVED RESULT
Thumbnails are shown for the cb7 files compressed with LZMA, LZMA2 and BZip2,
but a generic icon for those compressed via Deflate, Deflate64, Copy, and PPMd.

EXPECTED RESULT
Thumbnails are shown for all cb7 files, regardless of compression used.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows : n/a
macOS : n/a
Linux/KDE Plasma : 64-bit, 4.19.86-gentoo
KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.67.0
Qt Version: 5.14.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The same issue arises when opening the created cb7 files with Okular; it will
not open cb7 files unless they are compressed with LZMA, LZMA2 or BZip2.
Presumably a shared component (K7Zip?) is causing this. Ark and MComix read cb7
files using any compression methods, as expected.

[kwin] [Bug 419122] Fullscreen managment

Nate Graham changed:

At its core, this is a request to make more consistent and discoverable how you
enter and exit full screen mode. The consistency part is doing it in KWin (or
elsewhere, if KWin isn't appropriate; maybe KXmlGui?) rather than making every
app implement the behavior itself. The discoverability part is showing the
titlebar when the cursor is moved to the top of the screen, so there's always a
visible method to leave full screen mode.

I agree that for games, the discoverability angle is likely to be detrimental.
However even games might benefit from the consistency angle, particularly if
this meant that the same keyboard shortcut was used to enter and exit full
screen mode in all apps. Having the same shortcut do the same thing regardless
of the context is beneficial.

After a restart, everything works again. This isn't the first time that a kio
update causes file.so loading errors for me, that go away after a reboot. I
wonder what's up with that.

Sorry for the noise (previous comment was not meant to be).

I noticed as sending this bug, there is a workaround: add something (anything
except space) between % and BEGIN and % and END. Anything, say, another % will
suffice. Then Kile will be able to fold the blocks in question.

[kile] [Bug 419125] New: Code folding seems broken

2020-03-22 Thread Ville Aakko
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419125

Bug ID: 419125
   Summary: Code folding seems broken
   Product: kile
   Version: 2.9.93
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: editor
  Assignee: michel.lud...@kdemail.net

  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 126956
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=126956=edit
A minimal test case for bug

SUMMARY

Code folding seems to be broken in Kile. For example, \begin{document} will
catch the first \end section as the end of the document.

Supposedly, structures such as :
% BEGIN something
 .
 .
 .
% END something

should be foldable, but are not (according to this:
https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/306546/code-folding-in-kile ).
% BEGIN and % END are highlighted in blue, but no folding is possible; there
will not be any folding notes available. I can not find any official
documentation describing such feature, however it would be immensely useful to
be able to fold structure of the document away.

Also, it would be very useful to e able to fold away the preamble (part before
\begin{document}. This is not possible at the moment.

A minimal test case / file is attached.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. a) Add any section after \begin{document} with \end{whatever}
1. b) add a comment with % BEGIN something and later a comment % END something

OBSERVED RESULT
1. a) observe clicking > (arrow / triangle) next to \begin{document} will fold
until \end{whatever}
1. b) No folding node will be added at % BEGIN

EXPECTED RESULT
1. a) Clicking folding note at \begin{document} should fold until
\end{document}. It should not fold prematurely at \end{whatever}
1. a) % BEGIN ... % END should be usable and cause folding nodes to appear.

test qml file

SUMMARY
If QT_QUICK_CONTROLS_MOBILE is set to true AND verticalLayoutDirection:
ListView.BottomToTop is set in a ListView that is a child of a
Kirigami.ScrollablePage, the ListView can then only be scrolled upwards - as
soon as you try to scroll downwards (using touch gestures) the program will
freeze.
Since nothing in QtQuickControls2 uses QT_QUICK_CONTROLS_MOBILE, the problem is
probably in some way related to Kirigami.
See a reduced test case in the attachments.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. export QT_QUICK_CONTROLS_MOBILE=true
2. qmlscene test.qml
3. scroll using touch gestures

OBSERVED RESULT
freeze

EXPECTED RESULT
scrolling in both directions works

2020-03-22 Thread Stefano
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419105

As a workaround I renamed my rc files and my k3b folder in ~/.local/share, then
deleted the cache folder in ~/.cache

Starting it from scratch, solved my problem.

Then I changed the flag to not show the splash screen and the issue went back.

I changed that flag again to on, but nothing changed. Then I deleted again my
k3brc file and the issue was gone.

Then I started it again from scratch. No issue. Changed two other random flags
(to show the progress in the notification area and to hide the main windows
while writing). No issue.

But then, when I closed it again and changed the splash screen flag, the
problem was back again and remained until I deleted the rc file.

This bug still occurs (kind of).
I noticed it happens when you have some Asian characters in the line, for
example.
Try pasting 한국어 or 日本語 and at the same line _, the bottom of the line simply
disappears, it seems to be some sort of miscalculation of line height (as these
characters are taller).

Thomas - might this be the same as bug 419082?

Gille - is there a leading slash "/" at the beginning of the path to the backup
file location? If so, try removing that slash and see if the backup works. Do
not check the "mount" checkbox, as this option does not actually work on
Windows.

In this particular case I recommend force-uninstalling ibus and locking it
(zypper addlock ibus).
zoom doesn't actually need ibus...

[plasmashell] [Bug 391991] Keyboard Layout switching stops working when ibus is installed

2020-03-22 Thread Gregor Mi
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=391991

On openSUSE Tumbleweed 20200227 I installed the zoom client for Linux
(https://zoom.us/) which requires ibus.

The problem with keyboard layout switching is now back again. Additionally, in
Yakuake all keyboard input is ignored (sometimes a key comes through). Konsole
however works fine.

I currently resort to killing the ibus-daemon once I enter the desktop session.
This resolves the keyboard switching bug. Yakuake however is still
dysfunctional.

Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20200227
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.1
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.67.0

Kernel Version: 5.5.6-1-default

This has been implemented in Konsole for the past few versions. You have to
use the menu->View->Split Views or the shortcuts. Can you try a recent version
and see if that works for you.

Very strange. I have 50+ scheduled transactions and none of them shows such a
behavior.

Can you try to reproduce the problem with an anonymized version of your data
and then provide us the file so that we can check what is going on? See
https://docs.kde.org/stable5/en/extragear-office/kmymoney/details.formats.anonymous.html
howto create such a version.

Version 17.12.3 is not maintained anymore.

Please try with the current Kdenlive AppImage version 19.12.3 to see if there
are any packaging issues https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/release/

You have to update your OS to 19.04 in minimum.

If the problem/issue doesn't occur when using the AppImage, then it's your
configuration or packaging.
