Do you have an example of BSA file?

It looks like the BSA file has very limited uses (only used for games?), so IMO
the chance of implementing BSA support is rather low.

That is easy to just add in the current option. When all tasks are minized in a
group and you trigger the action, what is happening? Last used is shown or all
of them are unminimized?

Yep these are called thickness margins, plasma applets are responsible to
provide them properly. All applets are taking up the entire thickness otherwise
many things break with pkasma applets

Should we add application/x-lzh-compressed to the supported MIME types of the

[kmymoney] [Bug 419570] New: Provide split category detail instead of fixed text 'Split transaction'

2020-04-02 Thread Thomas Baumgart
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419570

Bug ID: 419570
Summary: Provide split category detail instead of fixed text
'Split transaction'
   Product: kmymoney
   Version: 5.0.8
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kmymoney-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: tbaumg...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

When using VAT split, the second line of the ledger entry changes from showing
the category (e.g" Vehicle:fuel") to just showing "split transaction". This is
both on the ledger second line, and in the ledger detail edit fields below.

Since (almost) everything has VAT, this is completely useless, as now I can't
see what category it is until I edit right into the split dialog.

What I would like is to see:

"Vehicle:fuel , GST Paid"

("GST Paid" is the VAT category)

[lattedock] [Bug 419569] New: Width/Length margins not working when panel size is large

2020-04-02 Thread Jonathan Chun
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419569

Bug ID: 419569
Summary: Width/Length margins not working when panel size is
large
   Product: lattedock
   Version: git (master)
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: containment
  Assignee: mvourla...@gmail.com
  Reporter: unmonito...@jonathanchun.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
https://youtu.be/8sEE2p9yCxw?t=82
See this feature video at 1:22. The "Width" margins are set fairly high at 13%,
but if you look at the side panel, the widgets are expanding to fill the entire
width of the panel. When the panel is small enough so that only icons display,
this does not happen.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a panel
2. Size panel to something large. >250px or so so that widgets display rather
than just the icon
3. Add a widget to the panel

OBSERVED RESULT
- Widget fully expands width with 0 margins

EXPECTED RESULT
- Widget should have margins and be kept inside the panel based on the setting.

2020-04-02 Thread confifu
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419467

Default options have changed for 4.2.9. I got the same behavior with 4.2.8 and
4.2.9 when I changed the options to be the same.
For 4.2.8, default options are from top to bottom are (T,F,T,F,T,T,fuzziness =
20).
For 4.2.9, default options are (T,F,T,T,T,F, fuzziness = 0).
I think this is because, we replaced KisConfig with KisDialogStateSaver in
dlg_layersplit.cpp commit f6e7a99de04ebe023af444fc9e1c67d93f8f3a5a.
We didn't use any default values in the case of KisDialogStateSaver.

  Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED

Info Panel showing the preview breaking out of it's expected bounds

SUMMARY
For tall/wide images, where the aspect ratio is large, the thumbnail preview
appears to exceed the intended region for display.

This only affects the preview thumbnail on a thumbnail, individual icon
previews per file seem to be fine.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have a folder with some images, with at least one very wide or tall image.
2. Look at the generated preview for the folder icon in details view or info
panel.

OBSERVED RESULT
Preview breaks out of it's region/quarter on the folder preview.

EXPECTED RESULT
Either don't display it, scale it down to fit it's region, or fade/crop to fit.
Scaling it may serve no value preview wise, other than avoiding the rendered
bug.

[neon] [Bug 419565] New: Missing python3-pyqt5.qtwebengine package in the Neon repository.

2020-04-02 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419565

Bug ID: 419565
Summary: Missing python3-pyqt5.qtwebengine package in the Neon
repository.
   Product: neon
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Packages User Edition
  Assignee: neon-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: ssn@gmail.com
CC: j...@jriddell.org, neon-b...@kde.org, sit...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Missing python3-pyqt5.qtwebengine package in the neon repository.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. pkcon install python3-pyqt5.qtwebengine

OBSERVED RESULT
Fatal error: The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  python3-pyqt5.qtwebengine: Depends: python3-pyqt5.qtwebchannel (=
5.10.1+dfsg-1ubuntu2) but 5.14.1+dfsg-2+18.04+bionic+build19 is to be installed

EXPECTED RESULT
Neon User repository should have a package python3-pyqt5.qtwebengine of actual
version of qt packages (5.14.1 in this case).

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Neon 5.18 User Edition
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0
Qt Version: 5.14.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Current qt version in Ubuntu bionic (18.04LTS) is 5.10.1 so pkcon tries to
install python3-pyqt5.qtwebengine of the only available version
5.10.1+dfsg-1ubuntu2 from Ubuntu repo that has strict dependency on
.qtwebchannel=5.10.1.

Actually I tried to install Anki application (via Discover).
Bug 411560 is relevant to this.

kactivites-stats :/

Filling in the missing bit of the backtrace from the info we have:

frame 4 will be

src/resultmodel.cpp:508:if
(item.resource().startsWith(QLatin1Char('/')) &&
!QFile(item.resource()).exists()) {

It has a check to see if we're on a local file system, but obviously that
doesn't work if we have things lying.

Maybe we can add Meven's new KMountPoint::isSlow() on the file path first.

[krita] [Bug 409950] Recovering from autosave and using [Ctrl + S] should overwrite original file (not the autosave)

In my opinion that's a bug that Krita doesn't take the original image file from
the autosave filename and don't set it up as the current filename.

Now in 4.2.9 Krita doesn't allow just saving, the user needs to confirm the
Save Image dialog, but the suggested name is still in the autosave format
instead of the original filename or even Untitled.kra .

I've set it to major because in my opinion it's pretty important, considering
that our less technical users might not know that they should change the name
and they might lose data that way.

GTK dialogs already display FUSE mounts mounted by gfvs, just like Nautilus
does. I was just thinking we should do the same thing, really. But I see your
point that it isn't really needed for the Save case.

However it is definitely needed for the Open case, for reasons described in the
original bug report.

Forgot to mention that. This behavior has started to occur with Plasma 5.18.0
update. The component asking Kwallet to open is kded5 my guess is that
NetworkManager is the main trigger because it immediately connects my wifi
after I entered the password.

I don't get that error but I always get the password dialog after a cold boot.

[valgrind] [Bug 419562] New: PR_SET_PTRACER error with Ubuntu on WSL

2020-04-02 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419562

Bug ID: 419562
Summary: PR_SET_PTRACER error with Ubuntu on WSL
   Product: valgrind
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: jsew...@acm.org
  Reporter: e...@ozhiker.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 127224
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=127224=edit
Possible fix by falling back to alternate PR_SET_PTRACER call

SUMMARY
When running Ubuntu 18.04 on Windows-Subsystem-for-Linux (WSL),
I have noticed the following error during every run of Valgrind:

error calling PR_SET_PTRACER, vgdb might block

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use Ubuntu 18.04 on WSL
2. Build Valgrind from git
   ./autogen.sh && ./configure && make -j8 --quiet check
3. Run valgrind against any program:
   VALGRIND_LIB=./.in_place VALGRIND_LIB_INNER=./.in_place/
./coregrind/valgrind pwd

OBSERVED RESULT
error calling PR_SET_PTRACER, vgdb might block

EXPECTED RESULT
  no error

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 10 (1909) 10.0.18363.720
Linux: Ubuntu 18.04 on WSL
Valgrind: 3.16.0.GIT

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This is caused by a bug in noted in the following stack overflow:

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/57206233/valgrind-showing-error-calling-pr-set-ptracer-vgdb-might-block

It was logged with Microsoft as:
  https://github.com/microsoft/WSL/issues/3053

It has apparently been fixed in WSL build 17723:
  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/release-notes#build-17723-fast

However it seems that it has not yet reached Windows Update (despite my PC
being at build 18363)

The error comes from VG_(set_ptracer)() in coregrind/m_gdbserver/remote-utils.c
It appears that the following call fails:
ret = VG_(prctl) (PR_SET_PTRACER, PR_SET_PTRACER_ANY, 0, 0, 0);
But if the following alternate line is enabled, the call succeeds:
ret = VG_(prctl) (PR_SET_PTRACER, PR_SET_PTRACER_ANY, 0, 0, 0);

I believe we could work around this by just failing-over from the first prctl
to the second.
I will submit a patch which does that.

Had the same issue(open source AMDGPU) it appears that something is broken in
their glx backend. My solution was to switch to egl. You could try it, just
create ~/.config/plasma-workspace/env/use_egl.sh with

export KWIN_OPENGL_INTERFACE=egl

inside.
There is still other issues like spectacle capture inverted colors, but in
general everything looks fine.

This is proving very difficult to reproduce independently. My current project
still repros the issue reliably, but I have not been able to create a new
simpler project that reproduces the issue.

Obviously this means my original report that it can be reproduced with any
project is incorrect, but I don't yet have a consistent criteria for
reproducing the bug.

[plasmashell] [Bug 419561] New: Thermal Monitor widget/plasmoid spams to systemd journal logs with "qml: temp unit: 0" msg

2020-04-02 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419561

Bug ID: 419561
Summary: Thermal Monitor widget/plasmoid spams to systemd
journal logs with "qml: temp unit: 0" msg
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.18.3
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: pv...@mailforspam.com
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY
Thermal Monitor widget/plasmoid spams to systemd journal logs with "qml: temp
unit: 0" msg

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add Thermal Monitor widget/plasmoid to a panel.
2. Add all sensor icons via plasmoid settings (via right click).
3. After booting up all thermal icons show "off" text. Log is clear from spam
msgs.
4. Right click on the widget. Press "Reload temperature sources".

This makes systemd journal logs to be bombarded with spam uninterrupted
messages like:

In the same nature of "knowing if we are zommed in" I could suggest a "toggle

is unpressed zoom goes back to previous state.

I personally don't get this problem at all, but I think it can be usefull when

For what I see the only missing step in your workflow is pressing the R
shortcut before painting, so long there is paint in the area you are about to
paint.

[frameworks-kio] [Bug 398446] FUSE-mounted remote locations accessed with a KIO-using app are not visible in non-KDE open/save dialog

2020-04-02 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398446

I'm not entirely sure how much better that would be. They would then have to
navigate all the way back to what they want. Usually a CIFS mount will be tied
to just one share. But to get to a KIOFuse samba share, for example, the path
would be / -> smb -> user@server -> (insert share folders and files here).
Itself, / might do a dirlist with all sorts of slaves already mounted (mtp,
sftp, smb, fish etc...), potentially confusing the user.

More importantly , where would the patches be though. Do you only want them in
KDE dialogs? Do we want GTK dialogs to display them. I know many apps that do
their own thing altogether...

Do you want each individual mount point in KIOFuse to show up as a separate
item, or just the slave?

One must also consider performance considerations. With the way the current KIO
integration is done, the capability of KIO to cause blocking issues is reduced
as much as can be. Even introducing KIOFuse into the places panel I believe can
cause issues if it lags hard or deadlocks. In a typical scenario of opening
files via Dolphin the only extra command needed is a KIO::stat -> KIO::get. We
try to limit browsing inside a mount as much as possible. Allowing an easy way
to do so can cause all sorts of issues. Some slaves have a substandard
KIO::listDir implementation (MTP being an obvious culprit), and God forbid a
user enables previews in a KIOFuse mount. One workaround I can think of, at
least in open/save dialogs, is to force redirect to the remote URL if a KIOFuse
mount is entered (as is done in https://phabricator.kde.org/D28290).

Hi, I have a similar problem with the system tray context menu.
I am using Manjaro and updated to plasma-desktop 5.18.3 recently.

For example, when I left click the slack icon, it shows a context menu, but
when I right click, it shows 'configure system tray' menu.
While for the 'Desktop sticky note', when I right click it indeed show a
correct context menu, also left click can open the note correctly.
For kmail, right click only shows the 'configure system tray' menu.

Right click context menu of system tray icon is important because some app only
provide quit function by that context menu. For now if I want to quit those
kind of apps, I need to kill it in terminal.

I guess this relates to recent updates on system tray widget.

More details please look at the screenshots.

For the animated gif, it's intentional to not let it open. You can use Scott's
plugin to do it: https://github.com/scottpetrovic/animator-video-reference -
but it works the same way as the image sequence.

It would be nice if the File -> Import Animation Frames created a new empty
file on its own. There could be a combobox or a checkbox "Create a new file"
and it would be enforced if used without any document open in Krita.

It would be nice if it could work with the plugin as well. Plugins in general
work just fine without a document. That's a feature request to @scott though,
or just for someone who will either publish their own version or submit a pull
request to Scott's one.

Note: one shouldn't use gifs (or even videos) as their working format, ever...
But I guess making memes require reading videos/gifs.

Ctrl + z undos last action while Esc generally cancels an action. A selection
is more a state than an action, so pressing Esc to change that state would not
make sense in some situations. isolation mode I.E. is another state, pressing
Esc should deselect or exit isolate layer.

So I do not support Esc for deselection.
