I knew it had something to do with opening the start menu with your mouse over it, but I just narrowed it down today. If you click on "Applications" for instance, you'll search the applications rather than all the files on your computer. However, if you use a hotkey to open the start menu and have your mouse moused OVER "Applications", it will visually be the same until you start typing, but only then will it switch to Applications, but since you've typed a bunch of letters in, nothing seemingly pops up. Logically, this kind of makes sense. Visually, it makes no sense at all (maybe just on my slow laptop?), so I'm not sure if it's just an annoying feature now that I've got it figured out. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Put your mouse over where the "Applications" panel in the Start Menu appears 2. Open the Start Menu with a hotkey 3. (Bug time): Notice that it's seemingly still in your "Favorites" tab, where you can search for anything 4: Type in the name of a file 5: Observe yourself not finding the file OBSERVED RESULT - File isn't shown in the Start Menu EXPECTED RESULT - File would be shown SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Linux 5.5, also according to Reddit tons of people with different distros are getting it KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.69.0 Qt Version: 5.14.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - See attachments for where to put your mouse before triggering start menu -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=420279 Bug ID: 420279 Summary: Main window opens ~3600 pixels wide, can not resize horizontally. Product: krita Version: 4.2.9 Platform: macOS Disk Images OS: macOS Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Usability Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: playas...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Upon opening either 4.2.9 and also 4.16.2020 nightly build, resulting windows spans two screens. The window is resizable vertically, but is locked horizontally. It can neither be reduced nor expanded. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Run freshly installed Krita on OSX system with two monitors. 2. Attempt to gather window to just one screen. 3. File bug report. OBSERVED RESULT Upon opening, windows is larger than existing workspace. EXPECTED RESULT Dragging window to desired size should work in both axis. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS macOS: 10.12.6 Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION While submitting report, I found a workaround. Double clicking the title bar informs application to fill screen in current workspace. Ability to scale windows in both axis now works! [lattedock] [Bug 420275] Super Key Application Launcher trigger Broken
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=420275 --- Comment #4 from FlyingWaffle --- Building manually doesn't seem to have made a difference. When I use the Super key as part of other shortcuts it works fine, pressing and holding also works as expected. Oddly, when I have nothing else maximized and I press the Super key it makes my top panel turn opaque as though I had just maximized a window or opened the application launcher but the application dashboard does not actually trigger. [plasmashell] [Bug 420265] New: position of dual monitors not remembered across sessions
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=420265 Bug ID: 420265 Summary: position of dual monitors not remembered across sessions Product: plasmashell Version: 5.17.5 Platform: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Multi-screen support Assignee: aleix...@kde.org Reporter: ostrof...@users.sourceforge.net CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY Long ago, I set up dual (identical) monitors connected to a "1c:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Cape Verde XT [Radeon HD 7770/8760 / R7 250X] [1002:683d]" video card. At some point, I switched the two cables, which reversed the relative positions of the monitors. I figured instead of crawling on the floor to switch the cables back, I'd just change the positions in the appropriate configuration section, and that info would be retained across sessions. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. log in to plasma with two monitors 2. using system settings, display section, switch the default to swap right/left monitors 3. exit plasma and restart (I do not use a DM, so it's not logging out, just starting a new session) OBSERVED RESULT The monitors are displayed back at the default, not how I set them. (swapped right and left positions). EXPECTED RESULT The position of the two monitors would be remembered. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: kernel 5.6.2 KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.67.0 Qt Version: 5.14.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I've tried both "restore previous session" and "restore manually saved session" (with an explicit save session) with the same results. I know I'm assuming that this info should be saved across sessions, if I'm wrong, I'll just switch this to a wishlist to do so. This might be related to bug 366739, but in my case, both monitors are always turned on, and the problem occurs on any restart of plasma, not requiring logging off or power off. In case it matters, I use the right screen as primary, with the main panel on top. The left screen is configured as desktop showing my ~/Desktop folder. On restart, the monitors show the correct content, but the positions are wrong - the mouse flows of the right of the right monitor and on the left edge of the left monitor. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
