[plasma-nm] [Bug 424951] New: Wifi scanning makes me click the wrong VPN connection
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=424951 Bug ID: 424951 Summary: Wifi scanning makes me click the wrong VPN connection Product: plasma-nm Version: 5.16.5 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: applet Assignee: jgrul...@redhat.com Reporter: phi...@whatsbeef.net Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When I want to connect to an existing VPN, I click the applet icon and then click the VPN connection I want (often the first one under "Available connections"). However, due to wifi scanning, a wifi connection suddenly appears in its place and I click on that instead which is almost as infuriating as when I accidentally click an ad because my browser re-arranged a page while loading. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have a wifi connection available (but not currently connected. This often happens if you have a 2.4/5g router). 2. Click applet with the intent to connect to a VPN 2. [dolphin] [Bug 424950] New: Dolphin does not retain "Modified Time" when files and folders are copied to Android devices
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=424950 Bug ID: 424950 Summary: Dolphin does not retain "Modified Time" when files and folders are copied to Android devices Product: dolphin Version: 20.04.3 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: yotejes...@icanav.net CC: kfm-de...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When users copy files and folders to an Android Smartphone via Dolphin. Then the copied files and folders do not have the same timestamp (Modified Time) as the source file and folder. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Dolphin in KDE neon. 2. Connect your Android 10 Smartphone to your computer via USB. 3. Search files and folders in Dolphin and copy them to Android 10 Smartphone. 4. View the copied files and folders in the internal storage of your Android Smartphone. 5. Now look at the timestamp (Modified Time) and you will see that the timestamp (Modified Time) has not been kept. The current time has been set. 6. :( OBSERVED RESULT I copy files and folders to Android 10 Smartphones. EXPECTED RESULT I expected the copied files and folders in the internal memory of Android Smarthphones to have the same timestamp (modified time) as the source files and folders. If I do the same with a USB flash drive, these problems do not exist. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE neon (July 23, 2020) https://files.kde.org/neon/images/user/20200723-1119/neon-user-20200723-1119.iso ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The same problem also occurs when unpacking archive files (zip) to Android smartphones. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 2 The same problem also occurs when two Android 10 Smartphones are connected to the computer and the user copies files and folders from first Android Smartphone to second Android Smartphone. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 3 On Windows 10 with Windows File Explorer these problems do not exist. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 4 A user on YouTube told me that the problem also exists when users use KDE Connect to wirelessly transfer files to KDE neon. [frameworks-kio] [Bug 424081] Pasted-in path is not treated as valid path in default/current directory
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=424081 j...@forestfield.org changed: What|Removed |Added Ever confirmed|0 |1 Resolution|NOT A BUG |--- Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED --- Comment #2 from j...@forestfield.org --- Perhaps this bug is assigned to the wrong view. The view I'm talking about allows one to navigate directories and tries to help the user by offering completion alternatives. This view certainly does change what is selected when one types in something ambiguous where something in the current view would apply (for instance, if the view is showing your home directory and there are two subdirs named "foo1" and "foo2" and you type "foo" both of the foo* directories would appear as alternatives you can pick using the arrow up/down keys or by clicking. If you pick "foo1", say, then foo1 is selected in the directory hierarchy). This view also accepts pasted-in text from the clipboard in the text input area. But there's a bug here: typed-in data has a chance of showing you the aforementioned completion list. Pasted-in text (even if the clipboard data matches a directory) never brings up the completion list (but pasting in text should bring up the completion list if what was pasted-in is relevant). Does this help identify the view and the issue I'm trying to report? Thanks. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kphotoalbum] [Bug 424904] No more keyboard shortcuts
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=424904 Johannes Zarl-Zierl changed: What|Removed |Added CC||johan...@zarl-zierl.at --- Comment #1 from Johannes Zarl-Zierl --- Hi Alex, Thanks for your problem report. I see two separate issues: It's correct that some keyboard shortcuts (like left/right for previous/next image) are hard-coded. Up until now this was "good enough", but that doesn't mean that it cannot be changed. I'm happy to put this on the list of requested features... The other issue is about shortcut configuration being forgotten between startups. I could not reproduce this with kphotoalbum 5.6.1 and the current git version (on Debian unstable, with Plasma 5.17, KF5 5.70, Qt 5.14). Shortcuts are stored in the file kphotoalbumui.rc, which is usually located in the directory "$HOME/.local/share/kxmlgui5/kphotoalbum/". Could you backup this file, change a shortcut and then see if there are any changed made to it? Cheers, Johannes -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

When I click "execute" in the scripting console, I saw this in the output of kwin: ``` QDBusConnectionPrivate(0x7f67fc00f8c0) got message (signal): QDBusMessage(type=MethodCall, service=":1.2859", path="/Scripting", interface="", member="loadScript", signature="s", contents=("/home/ USER/.local/share/plasmashell/interactiveconsoleautosave.js") ) QDBusConnectionPrivate(0x7f67fc00f8c0) Automatically sending reply: (QVariant(int, 2)) QDBusConnectionPrivate(0x7f67fc00f8c0) sending message (no reply): QDBusMessage(type=MethodReturn, service="", signature="", contents=(2) ) QDBusConnectionPrivate(0x7f67fc00f8c0) got message (signal): QDBusMessage(type=MethodCall, service=":1.2859", path="/2", interface="", member="run", signature="", contents=() ) kwin_scripting: "/home/USER/.local/share/plasmashell/interactiveconsoleautosave.js" : "2" kwin_scripting: "/home/USER/.local/share/plasmashell/interactiveconsoleautosave.js" : "13440" kwin_scripting: "/home/USER/.local/share/plasmashell/interactiveconsoleautosave.js" : "13441" kwin_scripting: "/home/USER/.local/share/plasmashell/interactiveconsoleautosave.js" : "13442" QThread(ptr=0x7f6811979060, name=QDBusConnectionManager) emitting signal at "/2" kwin_scripting: "/home/USER/.local/share/plasmashell/interactiveconsoleautosave.js" : "13443" kwin_scripting: "/home/USER/.local/share/plasmashell/interactiveconsoleautosave.js" : "13444" QThread(ptr=0x7f6811979060, name=QDBusConnectionManager) emitting signal at "/2" QDBusConnectionPrivate(0x7f67fc00f8c0) sending message (no reply): QDBusMessage(type=MethodReturn, service="", signature="", contents=() ) QThread(ptr=0x7f6811979060, name=QDBusConnectionManager) emitting signal at "/2" ``` According to the output, 6 messages are printed, but only 3 signals are sent (this bug occasionally happens, but not always). In the scripting console, I only observed the first 3 lines of output. In Bustle, I only observed 3 signals (see attachment). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kwin] [Bug 392840] Can't seem to use print() multiple times
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=392840 --- Comment #12 from David Edmundson --- Indeed, reproduced occasionally. >From what I understand of the bug a port to using an adaptor will fix this as then it won't need to scan our metaObject so to emit the signal from the DBus thread which might be behind our main thread. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[digikam] [Bug 398195] "Ignored folders" are not saved
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398195 Rafael Linux User changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |NOT A BUG Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED --- Comment #7 from Rafael Linux User --- Well, I understand that this feature was created for some specific issue (like Sinology NAS or even Windows ".thumb" folder. I suggest to add the possibility to store paths. It will be useful for much more situations if it works not only with album (folder) names, but with full paths, cause I have same folder names in distinct subfolders, but I don't want to avoid to scan all they, but some specific ones. Anyway, nowadays it works the way you developed it to work. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[plasmashell] [Bug 424725] Clipboard not clearing items anymore, reboot doesn't solve the problem
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=424725 --- Comment #23 from Nate Graham --- Not useful either, since it gets you into a broken state. This is a great candidate for showing an inline Undo post-clear instead of a confirmation dialog pre-clear. That's what Elisa does when you clear the playlist and It's a way better UX IMO. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[dolphin] [Bug 181437] Detailed view: for better clarity, rolling over an element should highlight the whole line, not just the name of the element
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=181437 Roman changed: What|Removed |Added CC||reque...@mail.ru --- Comment #17 from Roman --- Im also really want to have at least an option for this behaviour, this is the only thing that keeps me from daily use of Dolphin. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
