Hi,

We use MXE since a while. We never use Craft, as it's too complicated and share
too much configuration with plenty of different applications.

All the CI from KDE build server has compilation/configuration problem (as
MinGW, MacOS, Windows MSVC, etc...)

The KF5 availability on MXE is not a problem. All build fine. I write
bash/CMake scripts to cross-compile and build the Windows installer from
scratch under Linux. Take a look here :

Yes, please do create a new bug report for that issue.

Also this is in regards to the functionality mentioned in the second point
(alt-key to make straight lines). I take it that the first one (auto-closing
selection) is still valid? If no, please close this bug report. If yes, then
just a new UX (not, or at least not only double-click) needs to be figured out.

[okular] [Bug 426430] New: Typewriter annotation doesn't use corrected page orientation

2020-09-11 Thread skierpage
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426430

Bug ID: 426430
Summary: Typewriter annotation doesn't use corrected page
orientation
   Product: okular
   Version: 1.11.0
  Platform: Flatpak
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: skierp...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
I needed to annotate a PDF with some text, but the PDF had been scanned
sideways. So I used View > Orientation > Rotate Right to fix its orientation,
then F6 > T to add my text annotation. But Okular also rotated this new
annotation, so it appeared sideways.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a PDF in Okular (this bug will be clearer if it was scanned sideways
hence has wrong orientation).
2. Choose View > Orientation > Rotate Right (or Left) to correct its
orientation.
3. Now use the Typewriter tool (F6 > T) to enter a text annotation.

OBSERVED RESULT
Okular places the text annotation upright on the page according to its
_original_ orientation, meaning that it is rotated relative to the page with
the corrected orientation.

EXPECTED RESULT
If you've corrected the page orientation, Okular should place text upright
according to the current _corrected_ orientation, not the original page.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Linux/KDE Plasma:
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.73.0
Qt Version: 5.15.0 (xcb)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This occurs in Fedora 32's packaged Okular 1.9.3, and I reproduced in the
kdeapps flatpak, version 1.11.70.

I tried saving the PDF with corrected orientation as a new PDF, opening the new
PDF in okular, and then annotating that, and it didn't help, okular
"remembered" the original orientation.

https://github.com/mozilla/pdf.js/issues/7631#issuecomment-247857666 talks
about annotations, rotations, a NoRotate flag in PDF, this might be relevant.

I'm pretty sure this has something to do with having files with special
characters in the name (á, ç, ã, etc).
I'm a maintainer of bup on ArchLinux's AUR, and one user had the exact same
issue. It seems like that was the cause, because when removing the folder with
those problematic filenames it all worked again.

I can confirm this bug on konsole-20.08.1 and am marking it accordingly.

For me, it extends by one "\nCopy Location" (hopefully that
makes sense to people-who-aren't-me) each time I right-click the same file.
When I click on something else and then right-click that first item again, the
menu is reset to its original state.

The items immediately following "Open with..." in the menu are "Copy Location"
and the preceding horizontal line.

2020-09-11 Thread Daniel
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426428

Bug ID: 426428
Summary: consistency: also use middle-click in applet for
toggling night color
   Product: kdeplasma-addons
   Version: 5.18.4
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Night Color Control
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: daniel-other+kde...@dadosch.de
CC: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org, vlad.zahorod...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
currently, you can toggle night color with left click on the tray applet.

There are already many toggling-actions for middle-click: play/pause,
mute/unmute, do-not-disturb-mode.

It would be useful to have night-color also toggle on middle click, not just on
left click.

Hi, acc4commissions!

Do you remember, did you use any snapshots functionality?

The backtrace looks quite like the one in bug 424697, but I don't think that
the fix for bug 424697 will actually fix any bugs in undo. Unless you actually
used snapshots. Otherwise we'll have to think how to reproduce this bug with
undo (theoretically, it is possible and might be related to bug 426424)

I'm not sure if this should be solved in text itself. It's better to use Layer
Style for that anyway.

For that just right-click on the layer, select "Layer Styles...", then go to
"Stroke" and set it up as you wish.

Tymond changed:

 CC||tamtamy.tym...@gmail.com

It looks like an empty line between two lines is getting converted into SVG
using "line height", so next time you open the text editor you end up with two
lines with ridiculous line height instead of three lines with different font
sizes. But in my case the text doesn't overlap and looks exactly the same all
the time.

The line thing is probably a duplicate of bug 420471 (or at least caused by the
same thing).

The incorrect font and font size is still preset, even after my fix to bug
411393.

Note: for reference, in LibreOffice Writer text would automatically use the
font and font size of the leftmost text.

Git commit 5b80c6045c5306e5e61f963d30c0a9b8773e5407 by Andrius Štikonas.
Committed on 10/09/2020 at 22:54.
Pushed by stikonas into branch 'fstab'.

Fix fstab editing functionality.

In the old code QByteArray fstabContents was actually empty.
Also, writeData function was opening file in append mode,
thus nothing was actually written.

Split writeData function into two:
  * one for block devices
  * another for writing fstab file

[kleopatra] [Bug 426423] New: Kleopatra adds extra characters to end of .gpg file extension. How to avoid?

2020-09-11 Thread Bill
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426423

Bug ID: 426423
Summary: Kleopatra adds extra characters to end of .gpg file
extension. How to avoid?
   Product: kleopatra
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Microsoft Windows
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: aheine...@gnupg.org
  Reporter: beng...@jwdanforth.com
CC: kdepim-b...@kde.org, m...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Kleopatra adds extra characters to end of .gpg file extension. How to avoid?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Press Sign/Encrypt in Kleopatra
2. Choose file to encrypt
3. Uncheck Sign as and Encrypt for me checkboxes.
4. Click on icon in left of field and choose equifax certificate
5. Leave rest of screen as is
6 Click Encrypt button
7. Click Overwrite on pop-up. *This pop-up is confusing as I don't understand
the meaning as it says the .gpg file already exists but it doesn't
8. Click Finish button

Filename generated will have random characters at end. Ex.
27164_TEST1.txt.gpg.nhSNVn. We then need to strip off the 'nhSNVn' in order to
ftp in a normal gpg file.

OBSERVED RESULT
Example = 27164_TEST1.txt.gpg

EXPECTED RESULT
Example = 27164_TEST1.txt.gpg

[kde] [Bug 426420] New: Redshift not switching color automatically

2020-09-11 Thread David
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426420

Bug ID: 426420
Summary: Redshift not switching color automatically
   Product: kde
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: david.cortes.riv...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
After updates of not sure what specific software, the RedShift applet is now
not working correctly anymore, in the sense that it doesn't automatically
switch to the configured night color according to the time of the day unless I
manually change some setting and apply the changes, in which case it then
changes color for the rest of the session.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Put the redshift widget in some panel.
2. Configure the redshift widget to have a night color with different
temperature for the night, and configure it to shift to the night color
automatically.
3. Wait until it becomes night.

OBSERVED RESULT
Should switch the color temperature according to the night shift.

EXPECTED RESULT
Doesn't switch to the night color, unless I manually go to the settings, change
something, and then click Ok.

I don't think its the newer version fixing it. The 4.3.0 appimage works
correctly, BUT the 4.3.0 Ubuntu package does not.

So is this now "resolved fixed" just because the appimage versions work? Are
the Ubuntu packages unsupported?
