[pulseaudio-qt] [Bug 432995] New: Device Profile for Built-In Audio not applying
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=432995 Bug ID: 432995 Summary: Device Profile for Built-In Audio not applying Product: pulseaudio-qt Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: nicolas.fe...@gmx.de Reporter: c...@hotmail.com Target Milestone: --- After upgrading from Kubuntu 20.04 to 20.10 the Device Profile for my Built-In audio is not applying after system restart. Having not found anything that matched this topic in the bug tracker or forums, I submitted a post (https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=169612) and have not had any hits. My computer has two Audio controllers. * Built-in Audio (Profile: Analog Surround 2.1 Output) "This is the set destination of Output" * GP104 High Definition Audio Controller (Profile: Digital Stereo (HDMI 3) Output) "I don't use the HDMI output" Sound is produced fine until the computer is restarted. After logging back in the sound either plays via HDMI or shows as disabled (red X in tray) and will not produce sound. The values are still properly set in the Settings panel and to resume normal playback I have to change the Built-in audio to any other value and then back to 2.1. It doesn't happen every restart, but more often than not [update: it does now]. It seems similar to https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=309&t=167621&hilit=device+profile, although I don't have a problem with the device not showing. I attempted to reset pulseaudio by following the instruction in that topic, but it didn't seem to have any impact. claydoh wrote: Try running pulseaudio -k, then delete the ~/.config/pulse and any pulse related file in the top level of your home dir. This will cause all the sound detection and configs to be recreated. You might have to run pulseaudio -k again after deleting the files. Thanks for the help! But, pressing Enter to start the associated file does not work (well, because the filename displayed in the panel is cut off). I can of course select the proper application (like gwenview) which will then happily display the selected file. Command 1: > xprop -name "Talos - Linux - 64bit" -f WM_CLASS 8s -set WM_CLASS "Talos - > Linux - 64bit" Leads to: > $ xprop WM_CLASS > > WM_CLASS(STRING) = "Talos - Linux - 64bit" Command 2: > xdotool search --onlyvisible --name "Talos - Linux - 64bit" set_window > --class "Talos - Linux - 64bit" Leads to: > $ xprop WM_CLASS > WM_CLASS(STRING) = "", "Talos - Linux - 64bit" In xdotool they distinguish these variables as --classname and --class. When I change --class, KDE Task Manager react properly and remap particular .desktop file. But when I change only --classname, nothing happens. So if you think Task Manager works correctly, feel free to close this issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[dolphin] [Bug 432977] New: webdav:// "file or folder xxx doesn't exist
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=432977 Bug ID: 432977 Summary: webdav:// "file or folder xxx doesn't exist Product: dolphin Version: 20.12.2 Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: cookie...@web.de CC: kfm-de...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I'd like to connect to a local nextcloud in DOLPHIN via webdav. It works with nautilus, but not with dolphin. In dolphin tried many combinations in the address line: - webdav or webdavs at the beginning ("webdav://" or "webdavs://"), followed by: - 192.168.abc.xyz/remote.php/dav/files/Keks/ - 192.168.abc.xyz/nextcloud/remote.php/dav/files/Keks/ Keks is the username in the nextcloud on the remote server Whatever, I always get the same error message in the end: no connection to server. Sometimes there is a warning that I tried to connect to a server using a username on a site where no username were necessary. Same error when using the button "Add Network Folder". In nautilus it works out of the box: click on connect to server, - davs://192.168.abc.xyz/remote.php/dav/files/Keks/ immediately asks for username and password and that's it. I translated from German to English, so exact wording in English my be slightly different. OS: TW, up-to-date. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. open dolphin 2. click on network 3. click on add network folder 4. choose webdav 5. insert data 6. click save & connect OBSERVED RESULT error message EXPECTED RESULT connection to webdav SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Betriebssystem: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20210208 KDE-Plasma-Version: 5.20.5 KDE-Frameworks-Version: 5.78.0 Qt-Version: 5.15.2 Kernel-Version: 5.10.12-1-default Art des Betriebssystems: 64-bit Made a bugreport as well here: https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1181988 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kate] [Bug 432976] New: Kate lacks Zig syntax highlighting and detects .zig files as C language, breaking LSP plugin
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=432976 Bug ID: 432976 Summary: Kate lacks Zig syntax highlighting and detects .zig files as C language, breaking LSP plugin Product: kate Version: 20.12.2 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: syntax Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: nyanpas...@tuta.io Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When I open a .zig file in Kate, it's detected as C language, causing the LSP plugin to launch clangd instead of zls. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Launch Kate and open a .zig file. 2. Optionally enable the "LSP Client" plugin, and open the "LSP Client" tool view and look at the Messages tab. OBSERVED RESULT Kate recognizes the Zig source code file as C. As a result, the LSP client launches clangd (which fails to parse the file, and gives inaccurate completions) instead of zls. EXPECTED RESULT Kate recognizes the Zig source file as Zig, applies Zig syntax highlighting, and launches zls (which the LSP client is already configured to do). I don't know if it's intentional that Kate doesn't offer Zig highlighting and requires that you install it yourself. But it seems strange considering that Kate's LSP plugin offers a built-in rule (https://invent.kde.org/utilities/kate/-/merge_requests/117) to recognize Zig highlighting and run zls, yet Kate doesn't have a built-in Zig highlighting mode. In the end, I installed https://github.com/ziglang/kde-syntax-highlighting (last updated 2018), which required `mkdir -p $HOME/.local/share/org.kde.syntax-highlighting/syntax/` since the folder didn't exist yet. After switching previously opened files from C to Zig highlighting mode, zls is called properly. [frameworks-plasma] [Bug 432962] When an icon isn't found in the Plasma theme and it falls back to the icon theme, it can't fall back again to the icon theme's fallback theme
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=432962 --- Comment #9 from Alexander Schier --- My usual plasma theme is Aya and I guess it may have less maintenance than Breeze and Oxygen. A fallback to a safe default (should it be breeze or should there be some fallback icon provided by plasma itself without any theme?) would be nice. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
