Display configuration is not saved on system with 2 monitors running on
waylands KDE.
This is a new issue after KDE upgrade brought by upgrade to Ubuntu 20.10.
Kscreen package: kscreen/groovy,now 4:5.19.5-0ubuntu1 amd64
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Rotate one of displays verically and position it relative to the other.
2. Logout or restart
3. Log back in.
OBSERVED RESULT
Display orientations and positions are lost.
EXPECTED RESULT
Display orientation is preserved.

The OSs/GUI-platforms/desktops/environments/apps and now hopefully temporarily necessary commit-revert patches to apps change, while the select-mark/scroll/read/select-mark usage, endures. Why would I complicate it by adding repeatedly typing one-shot-find text into an otherwise read/select/scroll-only window in ordered to update otherwise-random-text one-shot markers, when a simple double-click and scroll serves the purpose? Oh, and by the way (shaking my cane), get off my grass! I'm feeling old-and-set-in-my-ways now. With the official release of v7.2.0 the menu "Eintrag" (item) has 19 elements: - 14 are displayed in English - 5 are displayed in German. Now I did the following test and took the official release digikam.po file and generated the corresponding digikam.mo file. Here I used the convert-tool available at po2mo.net. With this digikam.mo file for item "Eintrag" - 16 elements are displayed in German - 3 are displayed in English. Not only that more elements are in German, also German elements of official release are now in English. Strange! is'nt it? And also it's not showing the dialogue that it used to show. I use the dialogue to either save the screenshot or copy the screenshot if I want to. How can I (obviously) make it save the screenshots? And how can I make it show the dialogue? Or alternatively, how do I copy the screenshot? STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Press the prt sc button 2. Drag a box 3. Hit enter OBSERVED RESULT I don't find the screenshot in the Pictures folder. EXPECTED RESULT I should find the screenshot in the pictures folder. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. At the moment, one has to copy the clip(s), place the cursor at the desired spot, paste the clip(s), and, often, reposition the clip(s). In Premiere and Figma (and I assume other applications), there's a shortcut where you can hold the ALT key, click on the target, and drag it to automatically create a duplicate and place it where you like.
