[krita] [Bug 435875] onionskin sometimes doesn't appear after scrolling the timeline
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435875 --- Comment #2 from Eoin O'Neill --- I've confirmed the bug; This issue seems to be caused from a frame regeneration optimization and is 100% reproducible when scrubbing between two frames that have the exact same contents. My thought process for fixing this is that we should do it in two stages: 1) Make an exception to regeneration when any layer on the stack is currently in onion skin mode. This requires the least amount of work, but isn't the most optimized. It would be easy to get this ready for 5.0 immediately. 2) When we rewrite the compositing of onion skins to fix the other compositing problems, we will need to address this issue by changing when and how onion skins are composited. This is already something we need to do in order to fix color-space related issues. For part 2, I will probably need to talk to dkazakov to get a better idea of how we should structure the compositing of onion skins to avoid issues like this in the future. Ideally, it would be done in a separate pass but still respect the layer stack's general compositing order. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasma-nm] [Bug 435981] New: VPN connections are mixed with unregistered WIFI connections - VPN connection changes its position in the list
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435981 Bug ID: 435981 Summary: VPN connections are mixed with unregistered WIFI connections - VPN connection changes its position in the list Product: plasma-nm Version: 5.21.4 Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: applet Assignee: jgrul...@redhat.com Reporter: j...@ganomi.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY VPN connections are mixed with unregistered WIFI networks. When I want to connect to a VPN connection, I often miss-click on unregistered WIFI connection, because when I open the applet, WIFI starts scanning and adds new unregistered connections to the list on top of my registered VPN connections. This can happen in a split of a second and results in miss-clicks. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Add VPN networks to your network connections. 2. Ensure that there are more unregistered WIFI connections in your area. 3. To initiate VPN, click on network applet in System Tray 4. When network applet opens, you might see that unregistered WIFIs and VPN connections starts to reshuffle in the list of connections (depends on the WIFI SSID naming) 5. If you want to connect to your VPN connection and reshuffling starts at the same time, you might accidentally click on unregistered WIFI rather than the VPN connection, because the VPN connection changes its position in the list. OBSERVED RESULT VPNs and unregistered WIFI connections are mixed together which can result in miss-clicks when WIFI connections are being updated. EXPECTED RESULT VPN connections should have its own section to avoid reshuffling when WIFI networks are updated. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435973 Bug ID: 435973 Summary: Feathre Request: Make Tag (and perhaps other) filters operate to either Boolean AND or OR Product: digikam Version: 7.2.0 Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Searches Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: trpar...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Tags filter in the right hand column only operates in Boolean OR logic so that if multiple tags are selected the result is the union of images containing each flag. It would be helpful if AND logic could also be selected to allow narrowing of results. For example if I select tags "Lisa" and Skiing", I would hope to be able to see only images of Lisa skiing (maybe 6 in this case) rather all of Lisa and all of Skiing (maybe 1000). I understand this can be accomplished via the Search tool on the left margin, however doing so bypasses the convenience of seeing/selecting from the list of existing tags and apparently prevents use of the other source selection tools in the left toolbar. [Discover] [Bug 435971] New: Apply offline updates during shutdown process
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435971 Bug ID: 435971 Summary: Apply offline updates during shutdown process Product: Discover Version: 5.21.4 Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: Updates (unattended) Assignee: lei...@leinir.dk Reporter: tobi.goerg...@gmail.com CC: aleix...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Offline updates should be installed during the shutdown-process instead of during the boot. That way a) users don't have to wait when they need to use the system until updates are installed (which can take quite long on old systems), but instead, they would be installed calmly when the system isn't needed anyway. b) the system doesn't have to be booted twice: to install updates now, the system has to be rebooted once to install the updates and then again for some reason. Installing the updates during the shutdown-process would solve that c) additionally to b) users with encrypted systems profit, as they don't have to enter the password twice in order to boot the device. I think especially a) is a huge issue right now (at least for me and other users in forums as well), as I don't want be in a situation where I'm in a hurry and want to quickly start my system, but just find me in the installing updates screen and having to wait AND having to see my system reboot AGAIN afterwards. (I already was in that situation, can't recommend) That will also be the reason why I'll deactivate offline updates in Plasma 5.22, even though it may sacrifice system stability. If it was possible to apply updates during the shutdown process, I'd keep it activated. Is there a reason why it's not done yet? I mean, after installing the update during the boot process, the system has to be shut down and rebooted again ANYWAY, so stability wise doesn't seem to be a disadvantage. It could be added as option, so the user could choose whether he wants updates installed during boot or during shutdown, but I can't believe users would choose during boot, except they want to reboot their system to boot another one (which would also be one of two cases I can think of currently where the boot installation method would be beneficial, the other situation would be e. G. On a notebook with low battery) But to solve that, when updates are pending, two more shutdown options could be shown in the power menu like Windows does, with "install updates and shutdown" and "install updates and reboot" next to normal shutdown and reboot, which would then not install the updates (a install updates and reboot option should be added as users might want to reboot just to install the updates or because they have the time to wait and then it's useful to be able to directly install them) That way, the user can choose if he wants his updates to be installed with the next shutdown or maybe the next time. With the current model, this addition wouldn't really solve the issues stated above, as I don't always know if I might need the system instantly the next time I boot it, but when I turn my PC off or reboot it, I know if I need quickly afterwards or not. I think making this change, users would stop complaining about a "Windows-like" behavior and would really prefer this method as it brings system stability benefits. What are your thoughts? Have I missed something important here? PS: my mom would prefer this shutdown-installation-procedure as well, if that's worth something. ;) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
