I try to build Plasma using kdesrc-build tool, under KDE Neon, but fails:

SUMMARY
Over the last few weeks I have noticed that Meridian flip is not working
consistently. My setup is Raspberry PI4 running Astroberry version 2.0.3 which
I run as a server at the telescope.The equipment at the telescope end is:
Skywatcher HEQ5Pro so using EQMOD for that
2 ZWO cameras one for capture the other for guiding
Lakeside focuser
ZWO filter wheel
PHD2 for guiding
I am remote controlling the PI with Ubuntu Mate which is running inside the
house. KStars/EKOS runs fine with this setup and has worked flawlessly for
months. I always ensure I keep everything up to date and have a spare PI that I
use from time to time too.
I first noticed an issue with meridian flipping 29/03/2021 whilst tracking the
sun and had to force a flip. Then when using the scope to image an Ha area in
Cepheus I noticed again it did not flip. I then set flip to 0.01 hours after
meridian to speed things up. It seemed to sit there for ages doing nothing
apart from stating "Waiting for flip". Again I forced it to flip and continued
with its scheduled jobs.
Then I tried flip during the daytime and it worked ok but this time I had mount
and indi logs enabled. That night I tried for my target again and found that it
was stuck at the same point. I reinitiated the flip manually at around 03:45 at
which point it captured 2 subs before the clouds finally set in and I had to
abort it completely.
I attach the logs for your perusal. This log also contains the good test flips
during the day as well as the "failed" one. The settings at that time were 0.01
for flip but I subsequently reverted back to 0.1 hours for flip. Same results.


More recent update 21/04/2021 I have been unable to fix this issue. I have
reset the mount to factory defaults. It has auto-meridian flip set as a
default.
I rebuilt my Linux machine and installed the latest version of KStars 3.5.2
2021-03-01 and tested. Meridian flip worked, once, then would not work again.
When it reaches the meridian + 0.1 it states "Meridian Flip Planned". No
further captures take place and it just sits there and does nothing.
However I have found that if I uncheck the Meridian Flip if HA>0.1 before a run
and then check it again then it will meridian flip during the run - hence the
title of my topic.

I see from the changelog that there were a number of changes made around the
meridian flip part. Is it possible that something has gone awry?

SUMMARY
On pressing button, when we are using a light background for it , for example
light-green , plasma should have an option to set dark text separately , but
currently it use light text and this is really unpleasant.
Even if we change bottom text color to dark it will change all variants in both
select mode and unselect mode to dark which make them both dark and unreadable
, there should be an option to set dark text when button pressed and its
background is light while it doesn't makes affect to its normal unselcted mode.

As you can see in attached screenshot , 'Upload Scheme' button is in true
readable form with dark background and white text when it's unselected , but
when we select it , the text should change to dark to ease the read and
prettiness but it stay on white and hard and unpleasant to read.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Go to System Setting > appearance > colors
2. Save As Breeze dark to change it.
3. Edit Color Scheme > Button > Change Normal Background to #00 and Focus
and Hover Decoration to a light color like green.

OBSERVED RESULT
Light text when selecting button which has light decoration accent.

EXPECTED RESULT
Text should change to dark , when button is selected and has light color as
backgroud/accent

How did you do that exactly ?
Which application did you use, did you hit apply ?

I don't reproduce this bug neither from the file association kcm (in
systemsettings) or from  the file dialog properties, type association
sub-dialog.

While the session is inactive, the drm master permissions are revoked.

I'm not aware of ever explicitly setting it up to not prompt. In fact, I always
leave "Confirm logout" and "Offer shutdown options" enabled to prevent any
accidents; and they're still enabled. It doesn't seem to me like these settings
are actually related to the issue.

If you go to lines 881 through 894, of `ksmserver/server.cpp`, in the master
branch (78f04b581356b4765d297547413419149f76aad8), you'll find the
`KSMServer::setupShortcuts()` method, which sets up each of the default
shortcuts.

Here is the output of systemd-cgls when running pycharm.

I have a Wacom tablet PTH-451. Pressure sensitivity seems to automatically turn

No, the issues do not reproduce in X11. Moreover, once I configure the displays
in X11, I am able to log out and log back into the Wayland session and the
displays stay configured.

Ok I have tried deleting my ~/.config/konsolerc and now konsole opens just
fine.  
I believe the issue was my default konsole profile had the setting to "randomly
adjust colors for each session" under Edit Color Scheme. 
If I create a new profile in konsole settings and use "randomly adjust colors"
then set it as default it causes the same crash behavior.

You run `sh file.sh` from terminal, using a shell, bash, zsh...etc; but

Prod Scripty often does not sync translations into JSON files. The piece of
code that handles JSON files cannot commit and push into Git, it only considers
SVN - see

Because of this problem many JSON files are out of sync, here is one example:
There's translation into Arabic (ar) for "trash ExtraNames"/"Original
Path;Deletion Date" in
https://websvn.kde.org/*checkout*/trunk/l10n-kf5/ar/messages/kio/kio._json_.po.
However it's currently not incorporated into the relevant JSON file
https://invent.kde.org/frameworks/kio/-/blob/master/src/ioslaves/trash/trash.json.

I don't see a problem with that. The user said he want to logout, so that's
what they desktop should do.

"Cancel" in a Kate dialog - though again Kate it's the problem here - doesn't
mean "cancel the logout." Kate isn't a session manager. The desktop on the
other hand *could* give the user the option of explicitly canceling the logout.
I think this might actually be how other desktops handle it. In fact, I'll add
this to my script.

I've never observed the issue of some random app "cancelling" a logout on any
other desktop or platform. And I don't think that's because all the apps there
were perfect. IIRC, the other desktops maintain control of the logout process
throughout. I've used KDE for so long that I forget what exactly they did but
I've never seen a random app "cancel" a logout of its own accord, permanently,
other than in KDE. This kind of behavior makes absolutely no sense.

This is good news. And, as of exiftool v12, writing to SharedUserRating is
supported. (I have tested on a mp4.)

I would suggest that DigiKam's application of a rating to a video file updates
SharedUserRating and xmp:rating, and any other common rating standard (not sure
what OS X does).

Hello,
I confirm I also have the bug with videos profiles of 1080p 30fps (from my
phone), and 1080p 50fps (camera).

My main usage of KDEnLive (at this time) is to sync the sound from the
phone/camera with another better microphone, so it's really a problem for me
too. I also cut the part of the sound before and after the video to have the
same duration.

I have the problem on KDE Neon with all the latest updates.

KDEnLive version 20.12.3.

With 1080p 24fps, it seems to work, but it's not really good because I have
better framerate in source files...

Here's what I would do on my machine. Use notification triggers thankfully
available on KDE to re-initiate logout after the app tries to "cancel" to. If
it's safe to initiate logout the first time, it's just as safe to initiate it a
second time. The second attempt would solve most of the problems because by
then the stupid program would have likely closed itself already. This is the
behavior I've observed. What's wrong with retrying logout?

So this is the correct behavior, with no downsides. I can fix it on my machine
but should the average user be expected to write a script to logout?

No app can "cancel" a logout, since that presumes the app has control of the
process and not the user. The app can ask the logout process to hold and try
again but it can't cancel it. Cause what does that mean? Some stupid app is
going to tell me I should never logout? That's absurd.


Apps like Kate don't actually cancel logout, they just ask the process to wait
and then retry after the work has been saved. This is how it should be. Apps
can ask to retry logout after they finish whatever they are doing but they
shouldn't be able to simply abort a process initiated by user.

SUMMARY
Because the backlighthelper prioritizes led sysfs entries with "lcd" in the
name before everything else it thinks "/sys/class/leds/g15::lcd_backlight/" is
the path for screen brightness and it ignores the
"/sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/"


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect a Logitech G15
2. Try to change screen brightness
3. cry

OBSERVED RESULT
Brightness of the keyboard lcd changes

EXPECTED RESULT
Brightness of the laptop screen changes

I just checked my dbus and I don't even have an SNI service registered there. I
then noticed that some services were popping out and back in. Looking at
journalctl --user -f (i am using system startup), I saw that kded5 was crashing
and restarting constantly.
I am assuming that's what would register the SNI service. The crash is related
to my local build though, as it can't find a symbol in my kscreen. Maybe it
wasn't rebuild with the rest of the stuff?

Anyway. I am looking into that.
