[kdenlive] [Bug 439770] New: Not able to change encoding profile for proxy clips
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=439770 Bug ID: 439770 Summary: Not able to change encoding profile for proxy clips Product: kdenlive Version: 21.04.2 Platform: Flatpak OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: User Interface Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: davidmfonte...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I'm not able to change the encoding profile for proxy clips. I have an older GPU that Ubuntu 20.04 has been holding back versions of upgrades. When I enable proxy clips, Kdenlive appears to be only selecting h264_nvenc. If I set it to regular h264 or automatic the detailed log is always the same message with the warning about h264_nvenc. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Enable proxy clips, set profile to any profile that should be compatible with the setup (I've tried h264, mpeg2, and automatic). 2. Click apply (issue also happens if I restart Kdenlive after this step) 3. Open existing project 4. Right click on a clip and select proxy clip OBSERVED RESULT Kdenlive shows a message that the proxy clip failed to create. The message always indicates that it tried to use h264_nvenc. EXPECTED RESULT I expected Kdenlive's automatic setting to use a different encoding profile if the driver for nvenc is too old. I also expected that Kdenlive would use any other encoding profile that I selected. I've seen this issue on the stable from Flathub as well as the latest stable appimage (21.11.70). Below is the information from the appimage. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Ubuntu 20.04 KDE Plasma Version: Unknown (not sure where to find that in the app since I do not see an about system menu item). KDE Frameworks Version: 5.81.0 Qt Version: 5.14.2 (built against 5.14.2) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Detailed log from Kdenlive: [h264_nvenc @ 0x180a640] Driver does not support the required nvenc API version. Required: 11.0 Found: 10.0 [h264_nvenc @ 0x180a640] The minimum required Nvidia driver for nvenc is (unknown) or newer Error initializing output stream 0:0 -- Error while opening encoder for output stream #0:0 - maybe incorrect parameters such as bit_rate, rate, width or height -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[frameworks-baloo] [Bug 439346] baloo_file doesn't start when desktop plasma starts
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=439346 --- Comment #5 from skierpage --- (In reply to tagwerk19 from comment #2) > This is somehow a regression (as there wasn't an issue F33). If I remove the > X-systemd-skip line, baloo starts up OK. Yes I think that's it, so I was probably wrong to mention this baloo_file issue in systemd issue 18791. KDE commit 048edc5d2b29ea77d4e4226528e42031aac1c59a added the X-systemd-skip=true line: > Author: Henri Chain > Date: Thu Oct 15 09:21:09 2020 +0200 > Fix baloo_file autostart with systemd > Makes baloo_file started by systemd when systemd boot is enabled. > Disables auto generation of a service file by recent systemd > Will need to add `Wants=kde-baloo.service` to `plasma-workspace@.target` But this last bit is not in plasma-workspace.git's startkde/systemd/plasma-workspace@.target file, yet, so I tried it. I reverted to the original /etc/xdg/autostart/baloo_file.desktop and made the suggested change to /usr/lib/systemd/user/plasma-workspace@.target and rebooted, and kde-baloo.service started fine . The previously generated /run/user/1000/systemd/generator.late/app-baloo_file@autostart.service is different from /usr/lib/systemd/user/kde-baloo.service (see attachment), the former has different settings, e.g. Restart=no, a different Slice name, and the extra ExecCondition=/usr/lib/systemd/systemd-xdg-autostart-condition "KDE:GNOME:Unity:XFCE" "" I'm no expert in grokking systemctl trees to tell if these are significant and belong in /usr/lib/systemd/user/kde-baloo.service. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 411573] Opening and closing a file layer makes canvas area unresponsive in original document
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411573 --- Comment #5 from vanyossi --- I cannot reproduce this bug at all now. As stated by tiar, after closing the document the focus is on the last active layer, which probably is the file layer, and no tool can act on it. Before clicking the folder make a new layer and make it the active layer, then click the folder icon, close the opened image subwindow/tab and painting is possible with no window change. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=420939 --- Comment #19 from Scott --- With Stefan on the case I decided this issue would never be resolved so since my last comment over a year ago I just ignored the problem. I have since upgraded to 21.04 and the issue remains unresolved and movie durations are still not displayed. With regards to the warnings they appear to be generated by subtitles not being able to be read properly. The strange thing here being that of the thousands of files I have, 99% of them fall into one of 3 file types: 1/ .ts muxed with PGS subtitles and DTS audio 2/ .m2ts muxed with PGS subtitles and DTS audio 3/ .mkv muxed with SRT subtitles and DTS audio of course the video codecs are more varied and to time demanding to standardise. It seems that someone realises there are issues with obtaining movie durations as this field is not available in Dolphin>Show additional information>Video, only aspect ratio and frame rate are shown. Of the very limited number of files that do display a duration I get that information from Dolphin>Show additional information>Audio>Duration. [krita] [Bug 439758] New: Middle panel of Advanced Color Selector does not update when color-picking pure reds
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=439758 Bug ID: 439758 Summary: Middle panel of Advanced Color Selector does not update when color-picking pure reds Product: krita Version: 4.4.5 Platform: Microsoft Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Tools Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: kaj.s...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 139995 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=139995=edit file showing color picker+acs red bug SUMMARY Middle panel of Advanced Color Selector does not update when color-picking pure reds (red channel only, no green or blue). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. open attached file, or make a several patches of pure reds with a flat+no texture+100% opaque brush (any value) and a few other colors for comparison. 2. select any of the non red colors (labelled 'ok' in file) using the color picker tool or shortcut. 3. attempt to color pick one of the pure reds(labelled 'not ok' in file). OBSERVED RESULT The Center panel of the Advanced Color Selector remains at the same hue as the previously selected color (and does not update to red) - the value and saturation, and the position of the marker on the hue-wheel seem to update correctly. EXPECTED RESULT Expected the color of the Advanced Color Selector to update to reflect the color I just selected. [Akonadi] [Bug 439733] Akonadi server triggers assert() in libmysql 5.7.34
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=439733 --- Comment #2 from gr...@kde.org --- Relevant code change between 5.7.33 and 5.7.34 is in libmysql.c, line 4112: === 5.7.33 case MYSQL_TYPE_BLOB: case MYSQL_TYPE_BIT: DBUG_ASSERT(param->buffer_length != 0); === 5.7.34 case MYSQL_TYPE_BLOB: case MYSQL_TYPE_BIT: assert(param->buffer_length != 0); As you can see the DBUG_ASSERT has turned into a "real" assert. By modifying the Qt MySQL drivers, e.g. void QMYSQLResultPrivate::bindBlobs() I can get the Qt layer to confirm that the value being passed in is 0. Apparently max_length for the field that is causing problems here, is indeed 0. By nudging that to 1, like so: ``` if (!bind->buffer_length) { bind->buffer_length=1; qWarning("QMYSQLResultPrivate::bindBlobs: field max_length was 0"); } ``` Akonadi works again (because of the patch in Qt). I'm just not convinced that's a good fix: why is there a BLOB field of length 0, anyway? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
