[krita] [Bug 439990] Updating filters make them not working anymore
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=439990 --- Comment #4 from Patrice --- (In reply to Alvin Wong from comment #3) > It would seem that inevitably we have to completely disable the filter > update function, because newer G'MIC filter definitions often depend on > updated version of G'MIC, as long as gmic-qt is included in the form of a > plugin... On Krita 5 Limiting/restraining the end user is NOT a solution. Giving back the end user the ability to update/upgrade or chose its G'MIC integration like in any Krita 4.x.x appimage or whatever type, is the certainly the way to go > https://krita-artists.org/uploads/default/original/3X/8/f/8f4c2d0a82d7d7f90f94413e6f84f6f13fe8aa0f.png In Krita 5 they just removed this possibility in the preferences > https://krita-artists.org/uploads/default/original/3X/c/3/c320b2d2c6bee8e9ba6d1a2f70e7c6391426de25.png thus we are stuck with a deprecated G'MIC -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

If > you right-click the media controller menu and click "Open" it will do that. That's a great feature, however it only takes you to browser tabs and provides no options in case multiple apps are playing media. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=440590 --- Comment #10 from Maik Qualmann --- Your configuration should fit, including your database path, if it is located under /var. The AppImage method doesn't work at the moment, I just noticed while testing an old DB that "SELECT VERSION();" contrary to the publications on the web actually returns the current server version and not the database version. That has to be fixed first. So you have to perform the manual method after importing a backup. Maik -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=440615 --- Comment #1 from Emmet O'Neill --- Update: So after a bit more testing, I am able to add completely new tags to the selected resource. What I'm not able to do is re-add a tag that's been previously deleted. I've updated the title to better reflect the bug, and here's updated steps: 1. Open the `Manage Resources` window. 2. Click on a brush preset (for example, hard eraser). 3. Click on the plus button to add a tag. 4. Type a tag name that's not already listed. I chose "Penguin"! 5. Exit out of the `Manage Resources` window. 6. Open the brush presets resource chooser. 7. Select the tag that you just created from the combobox at the top. (For me that's "Penguin" still.) 8. Open the "Tag" menu and select "Delete this tag." 9. Exit out of the brush preset resource chooser. 10. Finally, repeat steps 1-4, using the same tag name that you've just deleted. ("Penguin", over here.) OBSERVED: After deleting the "Penguin" tag in the resource chooser, I'm unable to add it again as a new tag in the resource manager. EXPECTED: I'd expect to be able to add the same tag again as if it had never existed in the first place. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 440617] New: Copy/Paste will randomly not work
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=440617 Bug ID: 440617 Summary: Copy/Paste will randomly not work Product: plasmashell Version: 5.22.4 Platform: unspecified OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Clipboard Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: and_...@hotmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY Some variations of this bug seem to have been reported some years ago. In KDE, copy paste seems to not work occasionally. This is happening in X, unlike some previous bug reports which indicated the bug was only on Wayland. Sometimes, the copy to clipboard function will simply not work (either my mouse clicking or keyboard Ctr+C). This behaviour seems to be random and there seems to be no correlation between GTK or Qt apps. Repeating the copy to clipboard some times will eventually copy the intended element but this is very annoying. If anything, I noticed this happens more between different programs rather than between the same program, but I might be wrong. STEPS TO REPRODUCE Due to the randomness of this bug, its not exactly clear how to reproduce. 1. Copy an element to clipboard 2. Paste somewhere else OBSERVED RESULT Any item should be copied after the first copy has been issued, either by mouse or keyboard. EXPECTED RESULT Sometimes, pasting will either pasting the previously copied element or nothing at all, if no previous element was present on the clipboard, indicating that the copy didn't work. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux 5.13.6-arch1-1 KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.84.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Not much I can add, this is a really random and difficult to reproduce bug. [kwin] [Bug 303438] Don't dim the other windows in Present Windows
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=303438 --- Comment #72 from Szczepan Hołyszewski --- (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #69) > Heh, as it turns out, a QML-based replacement is actually in active > development over here: > https://invent.kde.org/plasma/kwin/-/merge_requests/1177. How long between "initial bits of QML-based present windows effect" and "final bits that will allow it to be merged"? My prediction: INFINITY. This project will be abandoned before the next fashionable technology of the day arrives to supplant QML, at which point it will be restarted with the new technology, and this will continue long after we all return to the ecosystem. COMMENT OUT THE OFFENDING LINE OF C++ CODE THAT DIMS THE WINDOWS. OR SET THE END VALUE OF THE OPACITY ANIMATION OF THE DIMMING OVERLAY TO 0 JUST LIKE THE START VALUE. OR WHATEVER, DEPENDING ON HOW IT IS CURRENTLY IMPLEMENTED AND WHICH NECESSARY CHANGE WILL BE TRULY MINIMAL. JUST STOP DIMMING THOSE WINDOWS. STOP. DO STRICTLY LESS THAT YOU CURRENTLY DO. DON'T START NEW A NEW PROJECT FOR THIS. DON'T DO ANYTHING NEW. JUST STOP DOING SOMETHING OLD AND TIRED AND UNIVERSALLY VISCERALLY HATED. JUST STOP. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Breeze] [Bug 439379] Add the ability to set the separator color
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=439379 --- Comment #8 from Noah Davis --- (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #7) > Yeah, let's use this to track exposing the separator color. This is > something VDG has wanted for a while, and it would generically allow you to > do this. Noah, didn't you have work for that? Can we finish it up? I did, but the patch was rejected by more than one senior KDE dev. I was told to submit a patch to Qt instead, but the process of setting up a complete environment for Qt and KDE development requires so much time that I just haven't gotten close to submitting a Qt patch. On top of that, we won't even be able to use the separator color role until Plasma uses Qt 6, if I do the upstream patch. Maybe I could try to submit a patch to KColorScheme again now that it's too late for Qt 5. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
