Up to the 7.3 weekly appimage versions, this always worked on my Ubuntu Mate system. However, now with the 7.4 weekly versions, the appimages never open -- either via opening the appimage file itself, or via the terminal command (and yes, although the appimages typically are auto-executable, I chmod +x them just to make sure). When I attempt to run them from the terminal (via "./*.appimage"), I receive the following error messages: libudev.so.0 libxcb-dri3.so.0 -- Preloading shared libs: :/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libxcb-dri3.so.0 digikam: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libnss3.so: version `NSS_3.65' not found (required by /tmp/.mount_digiKangoozw/usr/lib/libsmime3.so) And so I checked my version of libxcb-dri3-0 -- but my system reports that it is already the newest version (1.14-3ubuntu1). More often than not, one wants a high-resolution copy instead, for which the zoom level in Okular should not affect the resolution/quality of what was copied. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. I have manual placement of icons on the desktop (and, because I had to choose one from two options, I have placement of icons in columns and to the left side of the screen, but they are in reality placed manually on various places on the desktop). https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=416143 David Hurka changed: What|Removed |Added CC||plasma-b...@kde.org Version|1.7.3 |unspecified Product|okular |Breeze Component|general |gtk theme Assignee|okular-de...@kde.org|uhh...@gmail.com --- Comment #9 from David Hurka --- Ah, that classical white-text-on-white-background problem, which appears everywhere in traditional GTK applications. Annoys me to. I think there is something wrong with the GTK color scheme to Qt color scheme interface. >From your window titlebar I guess that you use a GTK system (while Okular is Qt), so you apparently observe the inverse problem of mine. I am moving this to Breeze, because there is a GTK related module. If you still can reproduce the issue, can you try to change the widget style (not the color scheme), to see whether it still appears? (If you know how to do that.) As for me, I am using some GTK apps on my Qt system. All of them have white text in text boxes, unless the text box has focus. There is no way to change that, neither widget style, nor color scheme, nor GTK settings. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[konsole] [Bug 440903] New: Konsole not respecting window size set in profile even when the "remember window size" option is disabled
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=440903 Bug ID: 440903 Summary: Konsole not respecting window size set in profile even when the "remember window size" option is disabled Product: konsole Version: 21.08.0 Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: konsole-de...@kde.org Reporter: ombroph...@outlook.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY The recently updated version of Konsole does not respects the "Initial window size" set in the profile settings even when the option to "Remember window size" is disabled. Additionally, since only the horizontal dimension of the Konsole window is affected (which extends over the entire screen) and not the vertical one, my guess is that this is somehow related to bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=440902. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Disable "Remember window size" in Konsole>Settings>Configure Konsole and press OK. 2. Add a custom "Initial terminal size" (preferably 80x50) in Konsole>Settings>Edit Current Profile>General and press OK. 3. Close all running Konsole windows and start a new Konsole instance. OBSERVED RESULT Initial Konsole window size is 1366x50 (the horizontal dimension may vary depending upon ones screen resolution). EXPECTED RESULT Initial Konsole window should be of the size mentioned in the profile settings (in this case 80x50).
