[krita] [Bug 443624] New: When opening a Recent Document, the welcome screen horizontally scrolls itself to the rightmost side
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=443624 Bug ID: 443624 Summary: When opening a Recent Document, the welcome screen horizontally scrolls itself to the rightmost side Product: krita Version: 5.0.0-beta2 Platform: Appimage OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: General Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: tomtomtomreportin...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When opening a Recent Document while on the welcome screen, the welcome screen horizontally scrolls itself to the rightmost side, assuming that the Krita window is resized so that the welcome screen doesn't fully fit its width without scrolling. This issue persists when going back to the welcome screen. This is a new issue as of beta 2, so it is a regression. It also occurs in 5.1.0-prealpha git 45ea106. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Resize the width of the Krita window so that the welcome screen can't be fully seen without horizontally scrolling. On a 1920x1080 screen, this for example happens when the Krita window takes 1/2 of the screen. 2. While on the welcome screen, open a Recent Document through either the welcome screen interface or through File -> Open Recent. 3. Close the document. OBSERVED RESULT The welcome screen is rightmost scrolled, a papercut that gets in the way of using other actions on the welcome screen until the user manually scrolls. EXPECTED RESULT The welcome screen shouldn't scroll itself on opening of a recent file. [dolphin] [Bug 443623] New: Can't Search Dolphin Bookmarks with KCommandbar while using Global Menu until after I Interact with the "Bookmarks" section under the Go Tab in the Global Menu
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=443623 Bug ID: 443623 Summary: Can't Search Dolphin Bookmarks with KCommandbar while using Global Menu until after I Interact with the "Bookmarks" section under the Go Tab in the Global Menu Product: dolphin Version: 21.08.2 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: dashonww...@pm.me CC: kfm-de...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I believe the title sums everything up, but to recap. Dolphin has the abilities to save directories as a bookmark. This makes it super easy to get to long directories that you use a lot. With the introduction of KCommandbar, you can now search menu entries from withing dolphin using the default shortcut Control+Alt+I. The problem is that I can't search for bookmarks unless I interact with the "Bookmarks" submenu underneath the "Go" tab inside of the global menu. I don't know if it happens without the global menu. I tried removing the global menu and then opening dolphin, but it uses the hamburger menu thing. Honestly, I've forgotten if that is the default or if It has a traditional menu bar as well. I'll test with kde neon unstable in a virtual machine later. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a bookmark in dolphin. It's usually something like "Go" menu item -> "Bookmarks" -> "Add Bookmark". 2. Close dolphin 3. Re-Open dolphin 4. Open KCommandbar "Control + Alt + I" 5. Search for the name of the bookmark you just added. 6. Go Down to the "OBSERVED_RESULT" section before reading step 7. 7. Go back to the "Go" menu item -> "Bookmarks" 8. Hover for a second or two on your bookmarks (I'm not sure this part is fully necessary I just know you need to interact with the Go tab or the bookmarks section under the Go tab). 9. Open KCommandbar again 10. Search for the name of the bookmark you added earlier. OBSERVED RESULT Nothing happens after step 5 until you do step 8. EXPECTED RESULT It should search whatever bookmarks you have like it does after you have interacted with the "Bookmarks" section underneath the "Go" tab in the menu/global menu. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: EndeavourOS KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.87.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.14.11-zen1-1-zen (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i7-7500U CPU @ 2.70GHz Memory: 15.4 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 620 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I wasn't sure if this went under dolphin, global menu, or kde-frameworks because I don't know in which section the problem lies. I decided to file it under dolphin because Konsole which also has a bookmarks feature does not suffer from the same problem. One thing that I noticed with konsole though is that the Bookmarks section is not in a submenu of another menu item though. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE 0. Create a file, the selected/current layer must have some recognizable shape, must not be empty. 1. Open Patterns popup. 2. Switch tab to Custom Pattern. 3. There is nothing visible. Only an empty rectangle. 4. Switch to "Entire Image" and then to "Current Layer" 5. The shape shows up. OBSERVED RESULT In 3., there is only something resembling an empty rectangle instead of the shape on the current layer. EXPECTED RESULT In 3., there should be the shape visible, and switching from and back shouldn't change how it looks like. Hope it's useful. Thanks. This looks near perfect. I kept the FUSE_COMPATIBLE_MAY_BLOCK since we have added that for other modern file syscalls too (e.g. statx) At first I thought we needed to use ML_(fd_allowed), but that would croak in some casses we don't really want here. So the manual checks here are good. last should be unsigned too, otherwise the comparisons don't work if ARG2 == -1. In the POST handler we should do the same limiting as in the the PRE handler or we'll keep calling record_closed_fd forever when running with --trace-fds=yes and someone does a close_range (3, -1). Also, we shouldn't record the fds as closed when the CLOSE_RANGE_CLOEXEC flag is set. I have changes for the above. [kdenlive] [Bug 443614] New: Time Remapping panel has an unlabelled mystery button
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=443614 Bug ID: 443614 Summary: Time Remapping panel has an unlabelled mystery button Product: kdenlive Version: 21.08.1 Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: User Interface Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: bugs@boffinbrain.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 142346 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=142346=edit Time remapping blank button SUMMARY The Time Remapping panel has a square button in the bottom right with no label or tooltip. When pressed, it appears to simply disable time remapping on the clip without updating the checkbox state on the context menu. There appear to be a few other ways to cause desync or contradictions between the apparent state of time remapping (when looking at the flag on the clip context menu) versus the Time Remapping panel itself being enabled/disabled. See also: bug #443613. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Enable time remap on a clip and open the Time Remapping panel. 2. Click the unlabelled button in the screenshot. OBSERVED RESULT Time remap panel is disabled but context menu erroneously indicates that it's still enabled. EXPECTED RESULT 1. Button should have a label/icon (perhaps the trash can icon?) and a tooltip, or be removed entirely. 2. Time remap checkbox state and panel state should stay in sync. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdenlive] [Bug 443613] New: Time Remap is Unavailable when a clip's speed is not 100%
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=443613 Bug ID: 443613 Summary: Time Remap is Unavailable when a clip's speed is not 100% Product: kdenlive Version: 21.08.1 Platform: Microsoft Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: User Interface Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: bugs@boffinbrain.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 142345 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=142345=edit Screenshot of a clip that appears to have time remapping enabled SUMMARY When a clip has had its speed changed, Time Remapping can be enabled, but the Time Remapping panel will remain disabled which can cause major confusion. I encountered this when trying to use the new feature on an existing project. Additionally, If time remapping is in effect and the clip speed is changed, then the remap flag is still on and the panel is still enabled, until the clip is deselected. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Add a clip to the timeline and set its speed to 120%. 2. Enable Time Remap from the clips's context menu. 3. Open the Time Remapping panel OBSERVED RESULT The panel is disabled. EXPECTED RESULT 1. The panel should be usable and the clip's speed is reset to 100%, OR 2. An error is shown stating that Clip Speed and Time Remap cannot be used at the same time, OR 3. Time Remap menu option is disabled, preventing step 2 (less desirable since it may not be clear why it's disabled). ADDITIONAL INFORMATION What should happen if we attempt to reset the clip speed to 100% and there is not enough space in the timeline? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdenlive] [Bug 443611] New: Change Speed: Minimum Speed Error is unclear and doesn't show under some circumstances
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=443611 Bug ID: 443611 Summary: Change Speed: Minimum Speed Error is unclear and doesn't show under some circumstances Product: kdenlive Version: 21.08.1 Platform: Microsoft Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: User Interface Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: bugs@boffinbrain.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 142344 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=142344=edit Change Speed dialog with minimum speed error SUMMARY When a clip has another clip immediately after it and you open the Change Speed dialog, the Down button on the spinner is disabled and entering a new number lower than the current value automatically reverts it to the old value, but doesn't show an error. When sliding the slider down, you get the warning that the "Minimum speed is X" but it doesn't explain why. Ideally this error should show up after typing a number manually too, and it should state the reason why the speed cannot be reduced i.e. adjacent clip is in the way. While I was first learning to use Kdenlive I came across this issue multiple times and had to find out the cause of the problem by trial and error. Hopefully this change will make things easier for others. See also: bug #378104 STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Add a clip to the timeline and set its speed to 120%. 2. Add a second clip immediately after it. 3. Open up the Change Speed dialog of the first clip. 4. Type "100" into the speed box and press Tab. OBSERVED RESULT The speed gets changed back to 120% and no error is shown. EXPECTED RESULT The error should be shown AND the error message should explain that the minimum speed is X because of an adjacent clip in the timeline. ADDITIONAL INFO If you type "100" and press Enter instead, the dialog gets closed but nothing happens, which is also confusing because the user never gets to see the error. I'm not entirely sure how this should be handled. Perhaps keep the dialog open (disable the OK button). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
