2021-10-24 Thread Bob Miller
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=443653

--- Comment #5 from Bob Miller  ---
I've attached three files The first two are samples of the file I was trying to
load. The third file lists the "one character" stars that I could find, or nor
find, after loading each a catalogue.

As you can see, what is visible when clicking on the Pointing -> Find Object
field varies upon catalogue size. For the larger sample, note that all "two
star" searches yield resuts for all the loaded constellations.

Don't hesitate to call me for more test results.

I would like to add that progress notifications, such as copying a large file
with Dolphin, are not affected by this bug. They stay on top as expected if I
click on them or even minimize them. Only regular notifications, i.e. those
with a close button on the top right corner, are plauged by this unusual
behavior.

Looks like this is because of the subscribe function it listens is only when
mouse is "changed". It is called TrackMouseEffect::slotMouseChanged():

TrackMouseEffect::modifierButtonsChanged().

[frameworks-baloo] [Bug 444350] New: Can't to config baloo indexing: balooctl unable to exclude a folder from from included folders list

2021-10-24 Thread pveax
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=444350

Bug ID: 444350
   Summary: Can't to config baloo indexing: balooctl unable to
exclude a folder from from included folders list
   Product: frameworks-baloo
   Version: 5.87.0
  Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: balooctl
  Assignee: baloo-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: pv...@mailforspam.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

Baloo can't remove the folder from indexing list of directories. That folder
unexpectedly permanently enabled and can not be remover from indexed list of
locations.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
```
$ whoami
m
$ balooctl config list excludeFolders
$ balooctl config list includeFolders
/home/m/
$ balooctl config rm includeFolders /home/m/
$ balooctl config list includeFolders
/home/m/
$ balooctl config remove includeFolders /home/m/
$ balooctl config list includeFolders
/home/m/
$ balooctl -v
baloo 5.87.0
$
```

OBSERVED RESULT

The `/home/username` folder persists.

EXPECTED RESULT

The `/home/username` folder should be removable and not be permanently hard
coded. It should be configurable: to have an ability to be removed by a user.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
```
Operating System: Manjaro Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.1
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.87.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2
--- Comment #2 from Enrique Artal  ---
Sorry for not being clear. I try to make the point:
-For Firefox the DNIe works for identification in some cases (some pages yes
some pages not).
-For autofirma, either directly or via firefox or Chrome: it asks for the
password but it says that the keyring is locked
-For Chrome, it does not work.
Thanks for all, because anyway it is quite practical to sign using okular with
other certificates.
Best, Enrique.
SUMMARY
Dolphin will copy video files in trash to /tmp, filling it up and possibly
leaving the system without free RAM.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Move a video file to the trash
2. Open the trash in dolphin
OBSERVED RESULT
The file will be copied to /tmp and will be kept there
EXPECTED RESULT
The file should not be copied to /tmp
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: 5.14.10
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.87.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I think the files are copied there to generate the thumbnail, but that is not
needed at all. Files in trash are just regular files in ~/.local/share/Trash,
so the thumbnailer can just access them normally.
Thx for the update and your work. I have tested the patch and it works as
expected here.
I was wondering though if it is not possible to add the translated non-uniform
frames to the set of quick access frames in the first place. Thus, it would not
be necessary to define them as custom frames in order to add them to the quick
access frames. This would align with the users experience when adding a new
frame in kid3 directly via the add button.
So far, I haven't noticed any other app presenting problems like this, but then
again I don't use other apps that would log in to online services. I'm
attaching a screenshot of the problems it throws, which happen also with option
"--force-online". Clicking the "reconnect" button and going throw the gmail
authorization dialog again has no effect (I do not receive a security alert
from it, and it does not log in to my email in evolution).
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=444348
Bug ID: 444348
   Summary: Double-clicking panel height numbers increases them
instead of selecting them
   Product: kde
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
SUMMARY
If I enter edit mode for a panel and try to select the height numbers by
double-clicking them (so as to overwrite them after typing), this double click
will not select the numbers, but will instead make the panel bigger.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Right-click the panel and select edit.
2. Try to double click the px height numbers.
OBSERVED RESULT
Numbers are increased, and do not get selected.
EXPECTED RESULT
Numbers should be selected, and should not be changed.
My desktop with icons placed as I want
SUMMARY
I have some files in the ~/Desktop/ (in polish version in the ~/Pulpit/)
directory. Those files are shown on my desktop. I want them to be in place
specified by me. But many times after I login into my account, they initially
are in those places, but when bottom panel appears, they move to the top. They
change their place. My bottom panel has height of 38. In desktop settings
("Icons" section) I have those options enabled (I have polish language version,
so this is my own translation to english): "place icons in columns", "align to
the left", "arrange manually", "icons size": third from the left on slider,
"width of label": medium, "number of text lines": 2. This problem has existed
for a long time (couple of years). My screen resolution is 1920x1080, I have
only bottom panel. Screenshots of my desktop are in attachments.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Login into account in system.
2. Many times you will observe that icons move to the top after login.
OBSERVED RESULT
Icons change their place. I don't want that. I want them to be in exactly this
place I have placed them.
EXPECTED RESULT
Icons on the desktop don't change their place.
[krunner] [Bug 430992] Krunner returns empty item
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=430992
Arnaud  changed:
   What|Removed |Added
--- Comment #3 from Arnaud  ---
I can reproduce the bug on only one computer with an old install (running KDE
neon 5.23.1, KDE Frameworks 5.87.0, Qt 5.15.3, Kernel 5.11.0-38-generic), but
not on my other one with a fresh one (running KDE manjaro 5.22.5, KDE
Frameworks 5.87.0, Qt 5.15.2, Kernel 5.14.10-1-MANJARO).
Both have desktop search enabled in Krunner settings. As reported above,
disabling this option removes the empty file from the results, and the file
type changes with each search.
I noticed the empty file appears only when I type more than 2 characters, and
disappears when I type around 6 to 10 characters (this number varies).
I would say this bug has been around for more than two years, if not more (been
so long I got used to it).
But as explained in https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=430891, running
`balooctl purge` and then rebooting fixed the issue. Would be nice to fix it
with an update tho, as not everyone will know to do this.
