https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=443721 Till Schäfer changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|FIXED |--- Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED --- Comment #7 from Till Schäfer --- I have tested it with plasma 5.23.2 and there seem to be some side effects of the fix. 1. While, the interval [1,50] seems to work as expected, the interval [50,100] seems to be capped at 50 repeats in the test area. However, in other places like kate and konsole, 100 repeats are possible. 2. The fractional repeat rates below 1 seem to be "rounded" to 0, which disables the repeating behavior at all. Which seems a bit unexpected since there exist the extra option of disabling repeat above. For the second case it seem reasonable to round using ceil instead of floor. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 444564] New: OK button is grayed out
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=444564 Bug ID: 444564 Summary: OK button is grayed out Product: plasmashell Version: 5.22.5 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Panel Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: stevenfa...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY I used to be able to right-click on a desktop icon in a panel, change properties, and hit OK to complete the change. Recently, the OK button is grayed out, and cannot be clicked. I can navigate to the corresponding desktop file (in ~/.local/share/plasma_icons) using dolphin, and I can then right-click the icon and select "properties". The OK button in the resulting properties dialog is _not_ grayed out and I can click it. I tried creating a new user, and I see the same behavior there, so it doesn't seem to be related to my account or permissions. However, that is not a good way to edit the desktop file, because changing the icon via dolphin does not update the icon in the panel. I have to remove the desktop file from the panel, then drag the modified copy from dolphin to the panel. I'll attach some screen shots, showing what this looks like when editing via the panel vs editing via dolphin. [plasmashell] [Bug 444132] Sometimes can't type in kickoff search box (on primary display) when mouse pointer is on secondary display
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=444132 Nico Lynzaad changed: What|Removed |Added CC||nlynz...@zylangroup.com --- Comment #4 from Nico Lynzaad --- The search function seems to not be focused and isolated to the launcher in which it is present. Rather it is activated and focused on 1 of the multiple monitors (how this is determined I've not been able to figure out). In my case I have 3 monitors with the search being functional on monitor 2 but not on 1 & 3. This creates a major problem when using multiple kickoff launchers across multiple monitors (in my case 3 monitors). This can be seen in 3 different scenarios (with all search fields cleared in between each scenario): 1.1) Open the launcher on screen 1 (via clicking on the icon or through meta key). 1.2) Starting to type a search string for example "ev" to search for evolution 1.3) Nothing happens on the open launcher on monitor 1. 1.4) Opening the launcher on screen 2 then shows both the search string and the results. 2.1) Open the launcher on screen 1 (via clicking on the icon or through meta key). 2.2) Click inside the search bar. 2.3) Star to type a search string for example "ev" to search for evolution 2.4) The results are blank on monitor 1. 2.5) Opening the launcher on screen 2 then shows both the search string and the results. 3.1) Open the launcher on screen 1 (via clicking on the icon or through meta key). 3.2) Star to type a search string for example "ev" to search for evolution. 3.3) nothing happens. 3.4) Click inside the search bar. 3.5) type a different search string ("abc") 3.6) search results are shown for the original search string and the new string inside the search box is ignored, i.e evolution is to top result. 3.7) Opening the launcher on screen 2 then shows both the original search string and the same results as on screen 1. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Plasma Vault] [Bug 444451] Dropdown options don't have "Unlock and open"
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51 --- Comment #9 from Nate Graham --- Sorry you don't like the design. I think it is fine the way it is. Moving your eyes an inch to the right doesn't seem like a huge problem, and if we duplictaed the default action in the popup, we would certainly get complaints about the redundancy. If we *removed* the default action and put everything in the popup, we would get complaints about discoverability and extra required clicks. Design is a compromise between use cases, and I don't think there is any way we can change this to accommodate your preferences without regressing things for everyone else. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Plasma Vault] [Bug 444451] Dropdown options don't have "Unlock and open"
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51 --- Comment #8 from David --- (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #7) > You don't need to click on a vault's list item to select it first. You can > just click the "Unlock and open" button for whichever vault you want to > open, which is even faster and more direct than what you are doing in that > video. I realize one doesn't need to click the vault to then click the right-side button, but the point is: one finds a vault by looking at its name. If you are to open a vault, you must first locate it, and the natural way of doing it is by following the left side. Once you have visually located it, you then proceed to open it, and that implies a large jump to the right side and making sure that your movement still aligns with the vault's space as you move the mouse there (either that, or a visual inspection as you move the mouse starting from the right side that the item you're pointing at is the correct one, for which you need to verify on the left side). I'm pretty sure that if you setup 3 or more vaults or USB drives and ask random people to open the one in the middle, they would gravitate towards either the left-click menu or an awkward move to the right like in the video. If you are browsing a folder list structure in dolphin or krusader for example, you don't put the 'expand' or 'open' button at the right, you expect it to be close to the start of the name rather than make the user first locate the folder and then move the pointer to the right across the horizontal space that contains the folder. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 444385] Right-click on GTK icon in systray leads to fast random mouse clicks events
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=444385 --- Comment #14 from Faerbit --- I tested the patch, and it stops the synthesised input events, so no more freaky mouse clicks all over the place. But apparently it stops all of these, since the right-click menu doesn't open, which it does with v5.22.5. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Plasma Vault] [Bug 444451] Dropdown options don't have "Unlock and open"
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51 --- Comment #4 from David --- (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #3) > > But other things do have a redundant copy in the drop down, such as USB > > storage devices > Cannot reproduce. Can you attach a screenshot? > > > which IMO is easier to click > This cannot possibly be true. The button shown on the list item requires one > click, because it's always visible; the buttons in the dropdown necessarily > require two clicks--one to show the dropdown, another to click on it. The button is at the right side, which is quite distant from the vault's name and icon. The dropdown shows at the left, right where the vault's name and icon are placed. I usually select the vault that I want by visually locating it's name. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
