All my music files are encoded as flac, and fails to be indexed into the Elisa library (no error given - the music just doesn't turn up in the library). An example of the properties dialogue from Foobar2000 for one of my music files is as follows: Sample rate : 44100 Hz Channels : 2 Bits per sample : 16 Bitrate : 623 kbps Codec : FLAC Encoding : lossless Embedded cuesheet : no Audio MD5 : 8A3282936DEE4E90D7C618E25ECE21D6 The file also has an embeded cover.jpg which is 500x500 pixels. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Elisa configure dialogue and select /home/rob/Music for music folder location 2. Select "refresh music collection". Elisa displays "imported 22 tracks". That is weird because there are 32 tracks in this test in that location. 3. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=445186 Bug ID: 445186 Summary: Krita doesn't respect native Qt theme? Product: krita Version: 4.4.8 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: General Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: albertosh...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- I tried looking for any information regarding this, but surprisingly I couldn't find anything, despite this seeming like a pretty hard-to-miss issue. Krita seems to force the use of the 'Breeze' Qt style, even if I'm not using Breeze. The color scheme options built into Krita can be used to change the colors of course, but not the widget style. After looking into the 5.0 beta versions, it looks like you can select from a few different choices of widget styles now, (windows, fusion, etc) but no option to use the native Qt style. For my own case, I'm using a kvantum Qt theme with transparency effects, and nothing of this theme gets carried over to Krita. I don't really understand why this limitation is in place, or if it's done on purpose, but I just wanted some feedback on this since I couldn't find anything about it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

This seems pretty like a pretty niche thing specific to people > who want to install updates the moment they become available. You can just > not do that and let them pile up a bit, installing them on a schedule of > your choice. It's more about the Discover Update notification showing all the time. I currently have it set to "show when relevant". Due to these emulators it is showing all the time. This made me change the Discover Notification update to "hidden" because I didn't want to see it all the time. But now say Firefox has an update, I wouldn't know unless I go out of my way to check if there are updates. This is why it would be nice to be able to filter certain flatpaks from notifying unless I explicitly check myself. In this case, giving the user a choice. [valgrind] [Bug 445184] New: Rust v0 symbol demangling is broken
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=445184 Bug ID: 445184 Summary: Rust v0 symbol demangling is broken Product: valgrind Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: jsew...@acm.org Reporter: n.netherc...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 143357 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=143357=edit Fix Rust v0 demangling. Rust has an old symbol mangling scheme ("legacy") and a new scheme ("v0"). The tracking issue for switching to the new scheme is at https://github.com/rust-lang/rust/issues/60705. Valgrind has supported the legacy scheme for a long time. Bug #431306 added code to support the v0 scheme, which was released in 3.18. Unfortunately, due to an erroneous condition in the outer layer of the demangling code, the v0 demangling code is never reached. C++ and legacy symbols start with "_Z", but v0 symbols start with "_R", and this erroneous condition only checks for the former. It's possible that this wasn't noticed because the Rust compiler is still using legacy mangling; you need to run with `-Z symbol-mangling-version=v0` to enable v0 mangling. The attachment fixes the problem and adds a test. I have confirmed that the test fails without the fix -- because the one legacy symbol is demangled correctly, but the two v0 symbols are not. I have also confirmed the validity of the fix by doing large scale profiling of the Rust compiler, which is using v0 symbols internally. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[lattedock] [Bug 443959] Add a dodge full-screen option to dock visibility options
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=443959 Miguel Guthridge changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|INTENTIONAL |--- Status|RESOLVED|REPORTED --- Comment #2 from Miguel Guthridge --- (In reply to Michail Vourlakos from comment #1) > does not make sense to me to have a dock shown over maximized windows, I > really dont understand it. > > If you want an overlayed dock over fullscreen windows then this is possible > only under x11 and you need to enable Behavior(advanced settings) -> Can be > above fullscreen windows. The can be above fullscreen windows option doesn't really match what I'm looking for. Here's an example use case: 1. My menu bar panel is set to always visible. I do this so that when I have an application maximised it will still be visible. 2. When an application goes into fullscreen, it will obscure my menu bar, so I won't be able to access it. 3. If I enable the "can be above fullscreen windows" options, the menu bar will always obscure fullscreen windows, meaning that I may not be able to access UI controls for the window. The behaviour that I want is that when a window goes fullscreen, the menu bar will hide, so that it can still be accessed by moving my cursor to the top of the screen, but so that it doesn't obscure full-screen content. This is different from the dodge maximised or dodge active options, as it should act as the always visible option, except for when a program is fullscreen. This behaviour is not currently available with any of the existing options as far as I am aware. Hopefully this clarification helps you understand what I mean. If you need more clarifications, I can make a quick screen recording at some point. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasma-browser-integration] [Bug 425374] Open links in current activity browser instance
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=425374 k...@lecris.me changed: What|Removed |Added CC||k...@lecris.me --- Comment #2 from k...@lecris.me --- I have been trying out [activity-aware-firefox](https://gitlab.com/hook/activity-aware-firefox) and although it's rough around the edges, it highlights what we need for an activity aware browser: - When opening the application, the profile of the current activity should start: (Supported by activity-aware-firefox) - This is done by having a separate launcher that reads the current activity and then launches the standard firefox with appropriate profile. - Starting/Stopping the activity should restore the proper profile: (Not supported with activity-aware-firefox) - Because the program being run is still standard firefox, the activity has no way of knowing that it should run the wrapper - A workaround would be to completely wrap the browser as a separate program (probably like [activityfox](https://github.com/LeonidKalichkin/activityfox)). There could be issues with how it interacts with other instances though. If anyone knows something about it, it would be helpful to know. - Ability to open a default profile (Easy hack ontop of activity-aware-firefox) - Ability to open a link from a specific activity/profile: - This is more on the general side of activity, i.e. we need an `open in activity` drop-down context menu option available for all programs. So far I don't think there are any such global menu items, but it should be possible to add it as the context menu display it's controlled by kde. - Running multiple profiles on the same activity (e.g. sharing the window of the default one with all activities) should show different icon groups: (Not supported with activity-aware-firefox) - Probably this can be alleviated if we use a wrapper approach, but also for the wrapper, it needs to somehow distinguish itself even as the executable is the same. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdeconnect] [Bug 443271] Kdeconnect hijacks the clipboard when connected to another Plasma desktop
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=443271 --- Comment #3 from Roman Gilg --- * For me it puts the clipboard content as second item into the clipboard history, so it still only copies the entry which was before and now is still at the top. I believe though that's through resetting the clipboard back to the previous value. * It also happens to me only on every second paste attempt. * It happens on Wayland and X11. I checked out git commits of KDE Connect up until 12ad4e3e in June and could reproduce the issue also here. Don't know the first bad commit but I never had this issue before so I would assume that this bug was introduced through some other update. @qydwhotmail, when did you first encounter it on your system? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
