[krunner] [Bug 454130] New: Typing = after certain phrases crashes krunner
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=454130 Bug ID: 454130 Summary: Typing = after certain phrases crashes krunner Product: krunner Version: 5.24.5 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: calculator Assignee: alexander.loh...@gmx.de Reporter: afedotov...@outlook.com CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When typing certain strings into krunner, followed by an equals sign, krunner closes unexpectedly, which i'm suspecting is it crashing. I have had this happen so far with these strings: SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN= libreoffice= (libreoffice being installed, meaning some populated search results. On the other hand, SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN returned no search results before i append = to kill krunner, so i'm not sure how significant this is.) I am certain this is the fault of the calculator component, because when i disable it in krunner settings, the behavior does not happen anymore. I am suspecting that this is indeed crashing krunner, because on its next activation it is exhibiting the behavior of sliding upwards to the edge of the screen on its first activation as described in another bug (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=447096) SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.94.0 Qt Version: 5.15.4 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[korganizer] [Bug 324592] REQUEST: implementation of copying reminders
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=324592 --- Comment #7 from Giuseppe Vinci --- (In reply to gjditchfield from comment #6) > Is this something like what you have in mind? > > - Switch to the Reminders tab of the editor. > - Right-click on an existing reminder. > - Choose "Copy" from the pop-up menu. > - Right-click on empty space in the reminder list (if there is any). > - Choose "Paste" from the pop-up menu. > - Click "Modify" to modify the new reminder. In the version 4.4.10 it was a "Duplicate" button between the "New / Add" and "Remove" ones in the Reminder tab As I look at the current Reminder tab, I see, there is place enough for adding another button in the same manner - maybe between "New" and "Modify". Reason for the button allocation: The user add a complete new reminder (button "New") or duplicate an existent one (button "Duplicate"). After that he/she maybe needs to edit some details in the new added reminder (button "Modify"). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=454081 --- Comment #2 from Alan Prescott --- (In reply to Felipe Kinoshita from comment #1) > That usually how menus work in computer software, what's the expected > behaviour in your opinion? It may be how menus work, but not multiple checkboxes. This is where having multiple checkboxes in a menu breaks the original menu concept. Menus allow only single click but multiple checkboxes have to allow for multiple clicks. My server is running an older version of KDE/Plasma under openSUSE Leap and allows me to select more than one checkbox at a time without closing the menu, the menu only closes when I click outside the menu so, at one point, this worked as I would like. [kdeconnect] [Bug 452946] Can only get the last 10 messages of any conversation
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=452946 --- Comment #1 from Simon Redman --- Hi Nathan, Thanks for reporting this. Sorry for the delay in responding (thanks you to whomever just caused this to get bumped in my email!) I have the same issue on Fedora with my non-RPM build. It makes me strongly suspect a bump in some dependency as the culprit. I noticed other things broke at the same time, for instance MMS messages appear as single-target messages. As for scrolling, your expected behavior is how it used to behave. If you click your mouse on the background, are you able to "flick" to scroll up and down? That works for me. [kdeconnect] [Bug 447498] Minor issue, Android app says battery information not available
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=447498 FeRD (Frank Dana) changed: What|Removed |Added CC||ferd...@gmail.com --- Comment #4 from FeRD (Frank Dana) --- (In reply to Mark de Wet from comment #0) > At the bottom of the Android app, below the menu for send > files etc it says "Status battery information not available. Is this a > permission error or something else? _That_ message, in the "Status" area at the bottom of the device details page in the Android app, is actually related to the **paired** device that's currently selected. Specifically, in this case, it would be the PC your phone is paired with. The Android app is (correctly) reporting that it isn't able to retrieve battery-level information from your Linux system. So, it's normal that you'd see that message, and it's unrelated to KDE Connect on your Linux system showing or not showing battery information for the phone. As long as the battery plugin is enabled on the phone (from that same screen, upper-right-corner menu, "Plugin settings", and then enable "Battery report"), you *should* see battery data for it on the Linux side. I don't know of any permission specific to reading the device's battery level, but the permission that would be most likely to affect that is the "Phone" permission. (Which also controls access to things like network signal levels, etc.) Additionally, you may need to go into your phone's preferences for the app (Android's Settings > Apps > KDE Connect), tap "Battery", and set the mode to at least "Optimized", possibly "Unrestricted", to ensure that the app is able to provide battery (and other) data request. The more recent the Android release, the more aggressively it will attempt to powersave the app, which can sometimes interfere with its ability to handle network requests from the Linux side. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Many 5G devices will report their network connection as TelephonyManager#NETWORK_TYPE_LTE. [dolphin] [Bug 453700] dolphin in detailed view open files and folders also if I click elsewhere on the line not only on the filename
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453700 Richard Ullger changed: What|Removed |Added CC||rull...@protonmail.com --- Comment #5 from Richard Ullger --- The change that is causing these issues is in my opinion a bad design decision. I can no longer copy or cut a file and paste it using the context menu unless the dolphin window contains empty space below the last file/directory. Where the window is filled with a list of files or directories, the context menu when clicked on a line that contains a file does not contain an option to paste the file. When clicked on a line that contains a directory the option to paste is there but the file is pasted into the directory on the clicked line instead of the directory being viewed. I can no longer drag and drop a file into an empty space in a dolphin window that is filled with a list of directories. The file will be dropped into the directory of the line where the mouse button is released instead of into the directory being viewed. I have misplaced files several times because of this until I realised what was happening. I can no longer click on an empty space after a file name to deselect a file. Doing so opens the file or enters the directory. More attention needs to be paid to click to the left of the file or directory name to deselect it. I can no longer click on the empty space after a file or directory name to select the left or right pane when in split view. Doing so opens the file or enters the directory on the line clicked. All these in my opinion being regressions from previous versions making dolphin annoying and more difficult to use. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 454117] New: Button to view/remove copied files from clipboard item
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=454117 Bug ID: 454117 Summary: Button to view/remove copied files from clipboard item Product: plasmashell Version: 5.24.5 Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: Clipboard Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: jackhill3...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY For context: I was copying some files from my pc to phone. The copy process was hanging so I cancelled it. It turned out the first few files had copied, so I went to the clipboard to edit the history so that I could paste the remaining files. Unfortunately I couldn't do this, and since the clipboard widget only lists the names of the first five items I couldn't figure out which files hadn't been copied. Then I had to try and remember the names of those files so I could re-copy and paste. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Copy at least 6 files 2. Open clipboard widget 3. Try to find out what the 6th file is called 4. Try to remove some files from the last clipboard item OBSERVED RESULT Can't see the names of more than 5 files Can't edit the clipboard item EXPECTED RESULT Should be able to see the names of all files Should be able to edit the clipboard item to remove some of the files from clipboard SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20220519 KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.94.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
