[frameworks-syntax-highlighting] [Bug 471319] Kotlin syntax does not permit comments in very many places
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=471319 Waqar Ahmed changed: What|Removed |Added CC||waqar@gmail.com --- Comment #1 from Waqar Ahmed --- Hi, Would be great if you could provide sample code that exhibits the issue along with a screenshot. That would make it easier for anyone wanting to work on this. Even better if you can fix this yourself and submit a patch. The syntax file for kotlin lives here https://invent.kde.org/frameworks/syntax-highlighting/-/blob/master/data/syntax/kotlin.xml. Checkout https://docs.kde.org/stable5/en/kate/katepart/highlight.html to know how to test the file and changes locally. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 444271] Track Mouse effect is activated only at mouse move
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=444271 --- Comment #3 from Andrew Shark --- Some more details of current behavior. Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.6 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.107.0 Qt Version: 5.15.10 Graphics Platform: Wayland The effect activates normally (without mouse move) when pressing Ctrl + Meta (i.e. first you press and hold Ctrl, then while keep holding Ctrl, additionally press and hold Meta). But if you do this like Meta + Ctrl (i.e. first you press and hold Meta, then while keep holding Meta, additionally press and hold Ctrl). In this case you need to move mouse to activate effect. Regarding deactivation. If you activated it like Ctrl + Meta (i.e. first you press and hold Ctrl, then while keep holding Ctrl, additionally press and hold Meta), then it deactivates normally, as long as you release Ctrl or Meta. But if activated it like Meta + Ctrl (i.e. first you press and hold Meta, then while keep holding Meta, additionally press and hold Ctrl) and moved mouse, then: - if you release Meta (and keep holding Ctrl), it deactivates normally. - if you release Ctrl (and keep holding Meta), the effect if NOT deactivated, until you also release Meta. More of that, if you (while still keep holding Meta) press Ctrl again, it will act inverted of expected (i.e. when Ctrl + Meta both pressed -> deactivated, when only Meta pressed -> activated). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[frameworks-syntax-highlighting] [Bug 471319] New: Kotlin syntax does not permit comments in very many places
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=471319 Bug ID: 471319 Summary: Kotlin syntax does not permit comments in very many places Classification: Frameworks and Libraries Product: frameworks-syntax-highlighting Version: 5.107.0 Platform: Archlinux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: syntax Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: h...@nasado.name CC: walter.von.entfer...@posteo.net Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY The Kotlin syntax (the one used for highlighting, as opposed to the syntax of the actual language) is unnecessarily restrictive about where comments can be placed. For example, it will not recognize comments on import lines, in variable definitions (before the identifier), in class bodies (after the first member), STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create or open a Kotlin file. 2. Place a comment in any of the locations described above. OBSERVED RESULT The comment is not highlighted as a comment. [frameworks-kconfigwidgets] [Bug 450775] Add filters in keybindings search (for actions and bindings, modified and unassigned)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=450775 --- Comment #5 from Andrew Shark --- PyCharm (or other Jetbrains IDE) has even better UI for shortcuts. For shortcuts search it has a separate button, which opens a popup window. In that window you can stroke a keyboard shortcut. It even support second stroke (another shortcut right after first stroke shortcut, and you can assign an action to such complex shortcut). Also I was amazed how easy mouse shortcuts are done. It has an area called "Mouse shortcut". Hover the mouse cursor there. Then press a modifier, for example, ctrl. And press some mouse button or scroll wheel. So you can make a "ctrl + wheel scroll up" shortcut. Also it supports double clicks. See the attached screenshot of the PyCharm Keymap settings window. It would be good to take some ideas from there. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdenlive] [Bug 464437] Speed does not preserve keyframes
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=464437 Peter Jones changed: What|Removed |Added CC||pe...@peterjones.ca --- Comment #1 from Peter Jones --- I think this may be the same bug I am experiencing in a slightly different way: STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1) Open a new project in kdenlive. 2) Put a clip in the project bin where the clip has different properties the the project. In my case the clip is 1080i 29.97fps and the project is 1080p 29.97fps 3) Put a section of the clip on the timeline. 4) Add the Transform effect to the clip on the timeline and change the zoom from 100% to 125% or some other zoom value. 5)Change the speed of the clip in the timeline to 148% or some speed other than 100% 6) Render OBSERVED RESULT The rendered file shows black where the clip should be. Sometimes you see a maybe one frame flash of the video that should last the whole clip which is why I think it may be keyframe related like the original report in this bug report. Note that when working with the timeline everything appears to work. The bug only occurs when actually rendering. EXPECTED RESULT The rendered file should show a zoomed and speeded up clip. NOTES: Problem only occurs when there seems to be all three of "zoom" and "speed change" and "clip having different properties than the project." You can also cause this to happen if the clip has the same properties of the project and you then change the project properties from for example 1080i to 1080p. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=458005 Eidur Eidsson changed: What|Removed |Added CC||eidu...@outlook.com --- Comment #6 from Eidur Eidsson --- Looking at version 23.04.2 The application has an "Enter Full Screen" function and an "Exit Full Screen" lifeline button when active. This makes the interface fill the screen, which is similar to what F11 does in many programs such as VLC and Web browsers. However, there is no default "Toggle Full Screen" shortcut, or even the ability to assign one! Meanwhile, F11 is assigned to "Toggle Party Mode", which is a rather different function and quite unexpected. Perhaps we can find a better default shortcut for Party Mode and leave F11 for Full Screen. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

EXPECTED RESULT SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: gentoo, vanilla kernel 6.2.5(but also affects all older versions i've run) KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.106.0 Qt Version: 5.15.9 and kwin_x11 prints following: OpenGL vendor string: AMD OpenGL renderer string: AMD Radeon RX 590 Series (polaris10, LLVM 15.0.7, DRM 3.49, 6.2.5) OpenGL version string: 4.6 (Compatibility Profile) Mesa 23.0.3 OpenGL shading language version string: 4.60 Driver: Unknown GPU class: Unknown OpenGL version: 4.6 GLSL version: 4.60 Mesa version: 23.0.3 X server version: 1.21.1 Linux kernel version: 6.2.5 Requires strict binding:yes GLSL shaders: yes Texture NPOT support: yes Virtual Machine:no ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This has affected older verisons of kde/plasma/kernel/mesa aswell, or atleast i am 99% sure. I used to only observe total vram usage in radeontop, which has remained the same for more than a year, only very recently did i learn of amdgpu_top that can display per-app usage, and realized it was kwin_x11 (and I was so sure it was somehow browsers causing it, I guess there are something in the world we cannot blame them for, who would have thought) I should note, though I dont know if it is relevant, that reasonably frequently, every couple of days, I notice that switching between workspaces/desktops becomes stuttery in the effect (where it just pans). This is fixed by restarting kwin with kwin_x11 --replace, and its once again smooth. After a kwin_x11, I get yellow/green/weird artifacts in most windows, that disappear as soon as I resize them or they repaint themselves. Sometimes(maybe once a week or so), I observe that right clicking on things will bring up a black menu, sometimes a couple of times in a row, but then just disappear, probably unrelated, but I dont know -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Have a phone connected to one of those two networks (ex.: the WiFi) 3. Try to connect the devices with KDE Connect OBSERVED RESULT Neither device can observe the other device EXPECTED RESULT KDE Connect simply doesn't care the computer has two network cards that are both connected to two separate local networks and they just are able to find eachother normally SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux 6.3.8-zen1-1-zen (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.6 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.107.0 Qt Version: 5.15.10 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION You might ask how I found out about this. I don't have a router where I currently live, so I usually keep my laptop plugged into Ethernet, and I use my phone with mobile data. But, when I wanna remotely control my laptop, I turn on mobile hotspot on my phone and have my laptop connect to both the Ethernet cable and my phone's hotspot (so, the laptop is connected to two local networks through two different network cards). What I need to do in order to get the two to connect together through KDE Connect is as follows: 1. Disconnect the laptop from Ethernet 2. Connect the laptop to the mobile hotspot so the phone and the laptop have a common local network for KDE Connect 3. Terminate kdeconnectd on the laptop 4. Open kdeconnect-app so that kdeconnectd starts back up with it 5. Reconnect the Ethernet cable 6.
