Attached is the panel I'm referring to. So an option in the panel header and in every entry's right-click context menu to lock/unlock them would be nice. The behavior IMHO should be: (when locked): - left-click selects the element; - keeping it clicked, hovering to another element selects that element (but doesn't trigger the click action); (when unlocked): - the current behavior My workaround/proof of concept of what I mean with the behavior when locked is adding: setDragEnabled(false); to Dolphin's src/panels/places/placespanel.cpp at the very beginning of the constructor. This would give an idea of the behavior with "locked" enabled. As far as I can see, the relevant class should be KFilePlacesView (which is PlacesPanel's parent), but may be wrong. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[tellico] [Bug 474418] New: Add Numista# search
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=474418 Bug ID: 474418 Summary: Add Numista# search Classification: Applications Product: tellico Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: ro...@periapsis.org Reporter: ro...@periapsis.org Target Milestone: --- >From https://mail.kde.org/pipermail/tellico-users/2023-September/001842.html I checked in recently and found that Tellico now has a Numista data source. This is great! However, it seems that the Numista search method Tellico uses does not use Numista's N#'s. This is a unique number assigned to everything on Numista. There are also NN#'s for subtypes. I have tried repeatedly with multiple different search terms, but I have yet to be able to use the Numista search in Tellico to find a 2 US Dollar note. I was able to browse to it on the Numista website. So I have the URL (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/note201812.html), the N# (N# 201812; also in the URL), the description... but I cannot get it into Tellico bc Numista's search is so horrible. (by the way, the search results seem to be limited to 20 items) IDEALLY, I'd hope to be able to use Tellico to do a straight lookup by both 1) URL of the item, which contains type (banknote, coin, exonumia) and N# in it (this will be important later) 2) The N# or NN# directly Per the API docs (https://en.numista.com/api/doc/index.php) it seems that N# lookups are straightforward, you just need to know the type: https://api.numista.com/api/v3/coins/95420 Because of that, the Tellico Numista search dropdown might need to add "Coin N#", "Banknote N#", and "Exonumia N#" options. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdenlive] [Bug 474414] New: [Maybe Regression : Audio clips] Audio clips that don't have an image attached to them can't be added to the timeline
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=474414 Bug ID: 474414 Summary: [Maybe Regression : Audio clips] Audio clips that don't have an image attached to them can't be added to the timeline Classification: Applications Product: kdenlive Version: 23.08.0 Platform: Archlinux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: User Interface Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: benoittarr...@hotmail.fr Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Audio clips don't behave as expected when imported in clip explorer, nor in the clip monitor when they don't have a thumbnail attached. Regular audio clips can't be added to the timeline anymore, I am 100% certain I could do that in previous versions of Kdenlive, to me it looks like a regression. Note : I'm using a laptop that uses a hybrid GPU (Intel integrated and NVIDIA 1050 Ti working altogether) and the clip preview is generated using the default profile (Automatic NVIDIA). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Start a new kdenlive instance (default project) 2. In the clip explorer, import a regular mp3 for which you have a thumbnail (embedded in the mp3 metadata) -> This one will get both the thumbnail calculated and its waveform will show in the clip monitor when selected in the clip explorer 3. Still in the clip explorer, import another mp3 without any thumbnail (like a sound made in audacity, could be .ogg or .wav, same issue) -> this one's calculated preview will stay blank and nothing will show in the clip monitor. 4. Try to add the 1rst MP3 to the timeline -> This one works, but the attached thumbnail is now showing in the video track and the audio in the audio track. But as this is an audio file, I don't want the thumbnail to be added in the timeline...but it's another issue, probably parallel to this one 5. Try to add the 2nd MP3 (the one without the thumbnail) to the timeline -> this one can't be added ! Furthermore, when kdenlive is launched from the command line, the following log show repeatedly : ``` clip not ready or not compatible PlaylistState::VideoOnly true clip not ready or not compatible PlaylistState::VideoOnly true clip not ready or not compatible PlaylistState::VideoOnly true clip not ready or not compatible PlaylistState::VideoOnly true clip not ready or not compatible PlaylistState::VideoOnly true clip not ready or not compatible PlaylistState::VideoOnly true clip not ready or not compatible PlaylistState::VideoOnly true ``` OBSERVED RESULT Audio files with an attached thumbnail can be added to the timeline and despite the thumbnail showing for the whole length of the song, we can still split it later on (it's just a bit annoying). The audio file that doesn't have a thumbnail attached (regular audio file) won't be previewed in both the clip explorer and clip monitor, and this one cannot be added to the timeline. EXPECTED RESULT As long as the input audio format is compatible with kdenlive, audio files shall be listed as audio files, and their waveform might be previewed both in clip explorer and clip monitor. We shall add them easily to the timeline like any other clip, and when added in the timeline, I don't expect their potential thumbnail to be displayed (or maybe have a dialog window that lets you decide whether you want the thumbnail as a video or not, should default to audio only - no thumbnail). [krita] [Bug 472705] 5.2 Beta 1 Android: App crashes shortly after transforming multiple layers or at random moments
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=472705 --- Comment #26 from abh...@gmail.com --- (In reply to Dmitry Kazakov from comment #25) > Since we have troubles with reproduction of this bug and we need to get an > updated device first, I shall downgrade this bug from release_blocker, > because we just cannot manage to fix that in time for the release... :( Well its a dark time for android users then. For sure with this bug Krita for android cannot be pushed in playstore. I will keep on testing nightly if this gets magically fixed. Krita should definitely start considering vulkan as new backend as android drivers are tad more better with vulkan -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kate] [Bug 473529] Crash when toggling code folding tags
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=473529 Waqar Ahmed changed: What|Removed |Added CC||waqar@gmail.com --- Comment #3 from Waqar Ahmed --- No, this is a real crash so no closing it please until we have some fix for it. We have unchecked nullptrs, in this case QTextLayout*, basically everywhere. The code used to be different before, but in master I changed the internal line(int) function so that it *never* returns a nullptr. It will return an KateLineLayout but never null. However, what I did miss was 1. Adapting all of the code to this new reality. Previously a lot of code didn't bother that line(...) could return null, some did.. 2. Making sure that the KateLineLayout::invalid(...) has an empty QTextLayout and a non-nulll Kate::TextLine so that accessing it doesn't crash us. (not even sure why layout stuff needs to store the Kate::TextLine instance). If we don't crash, it will probably result in some weird behaviour. The weird behaviour can often be easily noticeable and might actually be reproducible by the user which can then be fixed. If we crash quickly, the user will most likely not remember what kind of steps they were doing that triggered the crash. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
