[KDE Itinerary] [Bug 474599] New: Issue with Importing Train Tickets into Connections in KDE Itinerary
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=474599 Bug ID: 474599 Summary: Issue with Importing Train Tickets into Connections in KDE Itinerary Classification: Applications Product: KDE Itinerary Version: unspecified Platform: Android OS: Android 12.x Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: vkra...@kde.org Reporter: chris.seife...@onenetbeyond.org Target Milestone: --- When importing a train ticket via a QR code or manual input and then searching for and selecting a connection, the ticket is not automatically linked to the connection. This issue persists even when selecting a connection and then importing the ticket. Additionally, if the itinerary has multiple changes or trains, the imported ticket is located under each connection, requiring users to scroll down to locate and manage the ticket. Steps to Reproduce: Open KDE Itinerary. Import a train ticket using a QR code, manual input, or by selecting a ticket from the list. Search for and select a connection related to the imported ticket. Observe that the ticket is not automatically linked to the connection. Note that the ticket is located under each connection with multiple changes or trains, necessitating scrolling to find and manage the ticket. Expected Behavior: The train ticket should be automatically linked to the selected connection, ensuring proper organization and management of travel itineraries. It would be nice if you could fix this issue to automatically link imported tickets to their corresponding connections, improving the user experience and overall functionality of KDE Itinerary. Fixing this issue will make it easier to seamlessly organise and manage itineraries with multiple connections or trains. Thank you very much for your effort in the app :) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 474597] New: Visual bug in right-click (pop-up) menu in multi-monitor setup
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=474597 Bug ID: 474597 Summary: Visual bug in right-click (pop-up) menu in multi-monitor setup Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 5.27.8 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: sk1es@gmail.com CC: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 161660 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=161660=edit clear example of a visual bug in the popup menu SUMMARY I have 2 monitors - primary 2560x1600 with 150% scale and second 1920x1080 with 100% scale. The second monitor is set in the settings to the right of the main monitor. If you call a pop-up menu on the second monitor by right-clicking on an empty space on the desktop or somewhere on the taskbar, the frame of this window can become transparent when the mouse cursor approaches it. Or all buttons may disappear and be displayed only when the mouse cursor is over them. If I put the second monitor in settings to the left of the main monitor - the same problem will occur on the main monitor. I created a new user and did the steps from "STEPS TO REPRODUCE" there but it didn't fix the bug. I also tried to install the latest stable KDE Neon and got the same problem there. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Use Wayland session 2. Set scale of primary monitor to 150% 3. Connect second monitor 4. Place second monitor the left of the main monitor in the settings 5. Set scale of second monitor to 100% 6. Right-click on an empty space on the desktop of the left monitor and pull the mouse down on the menu that pops up OBSERVED RESULT Buttons in popup menu disappear and appear only when mouse cursor is pointing them. Sometimes the buttons don't disappear, but then the frame of the popup menu becomes transparent when the cursor approaches them EXPECTED RESULT Both frames and buttons must be visible until the popup menu loses focus SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora Linux 38 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.8 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.109.0 Qt Version: 5.15.10 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

This is messy and annoying, especially if you create a lot of them. I would prefer us to default to putting them in the appropriate subfolders (~/Pictures/Screenshots for screenshots and ~/Videos/Screencasts for screencasts). Can we please change the default to do this (and create the directory if it doesn't already exist)? I know that this was previously asked in bug 448325, and elected to create a new bug because I'm covering both screenshots and screencasts in this bug. And before it's mentioned that it's configurable, at least the screencast folder is not configurable (nor are there any settings for screencast recordings like there are for screenshots). [valgrind] [Bug 474443] run valgrind with --leak-check=full and --show-leak-kinds=all or without the 2 leak options enfluence error summary.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=474443 --- Comment #7 from Paul Floyd --- Not directly relevant, I work for Siemens EDA and I used to work for Synopsys. So my facetious answer is - use QuestaSim :-) Just some comments on the logs to start with. Lots of the errors refer to obfuscated names used by VCS, so it's hard to tell where the problem is. Something is trying to close files (and failing): ==98899==at 0xC2317A0: __close_nocancel (in /usr/lib64/libpthread-2.17.so) ==98899==by 0x7FBC153: SNPSle_417a3676075ec189542ebd57460c18ac (in /datacenter/tools/synopsys/vcs-mx/O-2018.09-SP2/linux64/lib/libvcsnew.so) Errors like ==98899== Syscall param write(buf) points to unaddressable byte(s) ==98899== Syscall param msync(start) points to uninitialised byte(s) could be harmless. Valgrind can't tell when data structures have holes or padding. Do you get the same result if you use --errors-for-leak-kinds=none? My suspicion is that when you have leak detection on the leak count up to the execve() is getting added to the error count. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[cantor] [Bug 470381] Julia backend does not allow symlinked executable
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=470381 Alexander Semke changed: What|Removed |Added Latest Commit||https://invent.kde.org/educ ||ation/cantor/-/commit/5c038 ||e422c8fe2fcc14ddca2f8ec8d8c ||6fbca592 Version Fixed In||23.12 Status|CONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |FIXED --- Comment #4 from Alexander Semke --- Git commit 5c038e422c8fe2fcc14ddca2f8ec8d8c6fbca592 by Alexander Semke. Committed on 16/09/2023 at 15:09. Pushed by asemke into branch 'master'. [Julia] removed the dependency on Julia's executable and set the recommended version to the current LTS version 1.6.7. We don't communicate via CLI with julia's executable and load the interpreter into Cantor's runtime in the "server" directly and similarly to how it's done also for Python and R. cantor_juliabackend.so and and cantor_juliaserverjulia are linked to julia's libraries. We nowhere depend on the executable. Allowing the user to specify the path to the executable and loading the libraries from there made some edge cases possible but introduced additional complexity in the code and such severe limitation as not being able to work with symlinks in the PATH. So, we remove this complexity and limitations now and the more important option to work with different packages and version of Python, R and Julia will be solved in future differently. [plasma-pa] [Bug 456310] Keyboard volume control keys don't change the volume of the default sink
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=456310 Sqaaakoi changed: What|Removed |Added CC||bugs.kde@m.sqaaakoi.xyz --- Comment #9 from Sqaaakoi --- I've also been experiencing this recently. I am using Pipewire and my config includes a virtual surround sound sink for my headphones. The issue has only been occuring since this virtual sink was added. I am not sure what defines the "preferred sink", however I can note that all the devices it chooses to fallback to are connected via USB (Headphones, speakers) or is the virtual sink I have created. Also, those devices are the only devices I actively select to use as the default sink. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
