[plasma-nm] [Bug 414975] The openfortivpn plugin does not allow to set gateway port

2023-10-17 Thread Gaël de Chalendar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414975

--- Comment #16 from Gaël de Chalendar (aka Kleag) ---
Hi, I (finally!) tried to made a merge request. I tried to to push to a branch
called `work/kleag/fortisslvpn-otp-only` as it seems to be the format used in
other merge requests but I was not allowed:
```
❯ git push origin work/kleag/fortisslvpn-otp-only
ERROR: Permission to KDE/plasma-nm.git denied to kleag.
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.
Please make sure you have the correct access rights
and the repository exists.
❯ cat .git/config
[core]
repositoryformatversion = 0
filemode = true
bare = false
logallrefupdates = true
[remote "origin"]
url = g...@github.com:KDE/plasma-nm.git
fetch = +refs/heads/*:refs/remotes/origin/*
[branch "master"]
remote = origin
merge = refs/heads/master
```

Where should I put my merge request?

I don't understand why this is getting so little attention - wouldn't this
impacting everyone ?

On my distro (Manjaro, unstable, up to date) with Dolphin 23.08.2 I have
exactly the described behavior: slow loading of large folders - which still
occurs despite having been addressed in bug #442106, and completely frozen and
unresponsive application when the nfs shares are not available (NAS not started
or not reachable).
Also, copying a large file to/from the nfs share will freeze the whole Dolphin
interface.

Using a GTK based application on the same conditions results in normal behavior
/ delays.
There was a poor decision somewhere in the KDE's framework library and/or
Dolphin that renders it dreadful when the conditions are met.

Is there a way we can help with the investigation ?

I have a bit hard time reproducing the issue...

Is it so that you have Windows locale set to use GB2312 ?

Did I understand it correctly that the file uses one encoding in the editor and
then when you search, the encoding is different in the search results?

When I perform the steps to get the akregator window in front of me, I close it
and open it, it is completely as it should be. But when I close the akregator
window, open the konsole and give the command "killall akregator" and then open
akregator again. it suddenly doesn't know what to do with the session...

[kate] [Bug 475770] New: LSP client view does not allow middle click or a shortcut to close tabs

2023-10-17 Thread Quinten Kock
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=475770

Bug ID: 475770
   Summary: LSP client view does not allow middle click or a
shortcut to close tabs
Classification: Applications
   Product: kate
   Version: 23.08.1
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: quinten@quinten.space
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
The LSP plugin panel (where you can see things like references) uses tabs
(which is good). However, closing these tabs can only be done by clicking the
(small) (X) button, or with the Close All Dynamic Reference Tabs action.

It would be nice if these tabs could be closed by middle clicking them.
Unfortunately implementing this easily seems to depend on
https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-82408 (how is it done for the global Kate
tabbar? is there a KF widget for it or is it implemented inside
Kate/KTextEditor?)

Additionally, being able to close the current reference tab with a shortcut
might be nice too.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open one or more reference tabs using the LSP client
2. Middle click one of the tabs

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens

EXPECTED RESULT
The middle clicked tab closes.

SUMMARY
After an XWayland crash and automatic restart, window decorations are drawn on
top of the client area.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. crash XWayland, let it be restarted
2. open an X11 app

OBSERVED RESULT
The decorations are drawn over client area, and the bottom is transparent.
Client area is shifted up to behind the window decorations. When turning off
decorations in the window menu, the previously hidden parts (typically menubar)
work again.

EXPECTED RESULT
The client area is within the window decorations, not behind.

I mark this as a duplicate in favor of 473999, as it has nailed the issue down
to sorting by size.

@Greg Lepore This seems to be another bug, as it does not correlate with
sorting by size and it looks like the folder is not expanded at all.

[kdevelop] [Bug 475766] New: changing tabs crash

2023-10-17 Thread Robert Oldham
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=475766

Bug ID: 475766
   Summary: changing tabs crash
Classification: Applications
   Product: kdevelop
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Neon
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdevelop-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: rob...@robertoldham.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Application: kdevelop (5.12.230802 (23.08.2))

Qt Version: 5.15.11
Frameworks Version: 5.110.0
Operating System: Linux 6.2.0-34-generic x86_64
Windowing System: X11
Distribution: KDE neon 5.27
DrKonqi: 5.27.8 [KCrashBackend]

-- Information about the crash:
I changed tabs back to a tab that had been previously viewed, but accessed by
another process while I was away from that tab. I presume that it had an
updated file time, so it appeared to reload (just a flash) when I clicked on
the tab and kdevelop crashed. This has been happening almost daily for the last
few weeks. It might have to do with the code plugin for PHP.

The reporter is unsure if this crash is reproducible.

I implemented some basic comment support now, which can be expanded later on.
Expect this to land in the next release (23.12). Commenting however, is never
going to be supported as it's an invidious limitation :-( The best we can do,
is linking back to the original comment on YouTube like Invidious does so you
can comment there.

[kwin] [Bug 465937] Split does not reset to its original value once "adjacent quick-tiled windows" configuration ceases to exist

2023-10-17 Thread Dragoon Aethis
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=465937

--- Comment #29 from Dragoon Aethis  ---
@Samantaz Fox, you can try to undock windows by holding a keyboard shortcut to
resize a window, then resizing a window by two sides. If you do it on both
sides, it should reset back to 50/50 - if it doesn't, I just log out and back
in :( It's really annoying.

I am having the same issue. The popup always opens for me, but sometimes it
opens and changes to a layer starting with b. This seems to be the case with
all hotkeys under the "Canvas Input Settings".

On Neon Unstable with 545.23.06 X11 is flawless as well, Wayland struggles,
plus kscreen backend has issues loading in systemsettings and nvidia-settings
segfaults.

I'd be really grateful to have a setting to disable this feature.

Maybe related: even after moving all windows around, I can't get the tiling
back to 50/50. And Meta+T does nothing.
Ftr, I'm on Fedora 38. I'll probably update to F39 during the week.

kdenlive 23.08.2 on macos Ventura (13.5.2) crashed in rendering. The display in
the error dialog contains "missing reference picture" like this bug report, so
I have added an attachment "log file from render crash kdenlive 23.08.2". The
brief display is:

Git commit 3bbc62a905a015bcee30a165ae86bc136abd6c60 by Emmet O'Neill, on behalf
of Simon Ra.
Committed on 17/10/2023 at 22:40.
Pushed by emmetoneill into branch 'krita/5.2'.

fix two bugs related to pasting image data into krita, along with some
refactoring:
1) "Paste into active layer" not working with non-krita MIME type paste data
2) all types of pastes not correctly detecting when the pasted content is
outside of the bounds of the canvas being pasted into
