[systemsettings] [Bug 477431] Slightly jumpy scrolling when scrolling through sidebar by slowly dragging the scroll handle
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=477431 Jan Rathmann changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|FIXED |--- Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED --- Comment #7 from Jan Rathmann --- (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #6) > Cannot reproduce anymore with either 200% or 225% scale. Some patches went > in to better pixel-align things, so I suspect they fixed it! Strange, can still reproduce it – in a VM (Neon Unstable) and on bare HW (self-build Plasma 6.0). Changing scale to 200% doesn't make a difference for me (my default is 100%). Using a different mouse doesn't change anything either. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 469777] KWin since 5.27.5 uses 1 CPU core at 100% whenever something is using PipeWire to capture the screen
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=469777 --- Comment #10 from Prajna Sariputra --- Spoke too soon, forgot about the fact that the order the screen sharing apps are started can change things (as I noted back in comment 2, oops), and after starting OBS, closing it and then starting Krfb the issue cropped up with Krfb again. Firefox meanwhile still seems to manage to avoid the issue somehow, in fact even after I managed to reproduce the issue with OBS and Krfb, starting a screen sharing session in Firefox and then stopping it seems to make KWin behave sanely with both OBS and Krfb again, this time in the same session, without reboots. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[valgrind] [Bug 479661] Valgrind leaks file descriptors
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=479661 Paul Floyd changed: What|Removed |Added CC||pjfl...@wanadoo.fr --- Comment #1 from Paul Floyd --- commit details commit 0432ce486d61f84f6fcbeab0d812bb1f61c57561 Author: Alexandra Petlanova Hajkova Date: Thu Mar 3 04:46:03 2022 -0500 vgdb: implement the extended-remote protocol Executing vgdb --multi makes vgdb talk the gdb extended-remote protocol. This means that the gdb run command is supported and vgdb will start up the program under valgrind. Which means you don't need to run gdb and valgrind from different terminals. Also vgdb keeps being connected to gdb after valgrind exits. So you can easily rerun the program with the same breakpoints in place. vgdb now implements a minimal gdbserver that just recognizes a few extended-remote protocol packets. Once it starts up valgrind it sets up noack and qsupported then it will forward packets between gdb and valgrind gdbserver. After valgrind shutsdown it resumes handling gdb packets itself. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=434057 Co-authored-by: Mark Wielaard -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Only one screen works, the other says that it has no signal or when on the laptop it's just black. Scaling is 100 on both settings. This is with both direct plug into the laptops hdmi port or using a dock. Unplugging and lugging it back does nothing. I dual boot with Zorin and with wayland/gnome it works as it should. To make Neon work with dual screens I have to revert back to x11 at login. With or without Nvidia Driver. Not sure if it's a part of the issue, but, on boot or logout, SDDM has a messed up screen too. Reproduction Steps: 1. Open Firefox. 2. Ensure that the Plasma Integration extension is installed and enabled. 3. Navigate to the following webpage: https://github.com/matinlotfali/KDE-Rounded-Corners/releases/tag/v0.5.0 4. On this page, locate and download the "Source code (zip)" file. 5. After the download is complete, the download window will appear. In the download window, locate the downloaded .zip file entry. 6. Click on the Hamburger Menu (usually represented by three horizontal lines) next to the downloaded .zip file entry. 7. From the dropdown menu that appears, select "Open With" and then choose "Other Application...". 8. In the "Open With" dialogue that appears, select "Ark" (or any other desired application) to set it as the default program for opening .zip files. 9. Observe that upon making this selection, the Plasma session consistently crashes/restarts. I've tried another repo downloading a source .zip file and it does not crash via the Plasma Integration window, I'm unsure as to why this is only happening on this particular .zip file. For reference: Crashing - https://github.com/matinlotfali/KDE-Rounded-Corners/releases/tag/v0.5.0 Not Crashing - https://github.com/KDE/dragon/releases/tag/v24.01.90 Additional Information: I do not use any special themes/icons or anything, this is just a plasma session using all the defaults except for the fact that .zip filetype was associated to something else other than ark. [skrooge] [Bug 479973] New: Skrooge doesn't remember last used pages on open
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=479973 Bug ID: 479973 Summary: Skrooge doesn't remember last used pages on open Classification: Applications Product: skrooge Version: 2.30.0 Platform: Neon OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: steph...@mankowski.fr Reporter: k...@callthecomputerdoctor.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I've been using Skrooge for 10 years, I love it and have been telling my friends to use it! Thank you so much for developing this project :) Data-wise, it's been solid for me. When I created my first .skg document back in 2014, it would remember all the pages that I had open, which was great, because I just wanted to open up Skrooge, add an operation and close it. Then at some point, Skrooge didn't remember the default tab I was using, it would default to showing me the last tab. Only mildly annoying, I couldn't figure out how to change it, but I could deal with it. Then I needed to create a whole new .skg document in 2020 and what I noticed is that whatever I did, I could not get Skrooge to remember my open tabs. I tried "Pin this page" and "Save page state", but they didn't do what I was expecting. I read the Handbook, which is very nice, and it seemed that those should've worked but nope. What I would like to have happen is that I open Skrooge, and the automatically last-loaded file will open up and show me all the tabs I last had open, *and* the last used tab visible and ready to use. This would be great for me. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Skrooge. It will auto-load the last used document, and will show the file name in the status bar. OBSERVED RESULT You will see the "Welcome to Skrooge" page. That's it. EXPECTED RESULT See the last opened pages, with the last used page visible and ready to use. [Breeze] [Bug 479920] network-wired should have less monitor, more wire
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=479920 --- Comment #6 from Andres Betts --- Created attachment 164996 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=164996&action=edit SampleSVGs I looked around a little bit and noticed that the wired icon is pretty much a copy of what Window has had for a long time. While that is not necessarily a bad thing, it's also one that makes me rethink what we should have. If we are talking ethernet, maybe that's the stronger focus. I found a few samples from around the web and tried to imitate the current breeze icon look and created the attached icons. Given the 22px bounding box and pixel alignment, I had to put some graphics in half pixels, hopefully they don't look too bad. For the emblems, I just copied the ones we currently use. Let me know your thoughts. If positive, I will polish the icons more and make them ready for production. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

When opening certain apps in Plasma, they do not "initially" display to the correct size of the "monitor" (the touchscreen of the phone). This renders the output display somewhat unusable. Quitting the app and re-launching it does nothing to correct the sizing issue. An interim "fix" is to type the leftmost button on the phone, which displays all of the running apps and re-select the application that is not displaying properly--then the app will display properly. This problem exists in at least 2 apps (that I have regularly used): the "Settings" app (not the "System Settings" app) and in "Spacebar". What would be a nice feature (now that we're in wayland land where each monitor is actually it's own thing) having the ability to apply the "Zoom" Desktop Effect on a per-monitor basis would be quite nice. Right now when the functionality is used it zooms in on all monitors, which I consider to be fine as default. What would be nice however (as a setting in the zoom effect configuration maybe?) is to keep track of where the mouse pointer currently is when zooming in and then only applying the zoom effect on said monitor (ie the currently active display). As right now when I need it on my primary it zooms in on all monitors, which includes the secondary that I use to keep track of email inboxes&such (which I can't really do when it's zoomed in to somewhere over in the corner). Committed on 18/01/2024 at 00:17. Pushed by vladz into branch 'Plasma/6.0'. Drop window type rule Practically all code assumes that the window type is static and fixing it would bring extra complexity, which may not be worth given that there are window rules to control position, focus, layer, etc. (cherry picked from commit 176ae6e6927f15f28c992b58366c4dd05fcc274a) M +1-1src/inputpanelv1window.cpp M +1-1src/inputpanelv1window.h M +1-1src/internalwindow.cpp M +1-1src/internalwindow.h M +0-7src/kcms/rules/rulesmodel.cpp M +1-1src/layershellv1window.cpp M +1-1src/layershellv1window.h M +1-11 src/rules.cpp M +0-4src/rules.h M +0-11 src/rulesettings.kcfg M +1-1src/window.h M +1-9src/x11window.cpp M +1-1src/x11window.h M +1-1src/xdgshellwindow.cpp M +1-1src/xdgshellwindow.h https://invent.kde.org/plasma/kwin/-/commit/947d8c5e590e8d89fde2885abbb2bea8cce1b2e5 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kwin] [Bug 466016] Window type rule does not work in wayland
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=466016 --- Comment #7 from Vlad Zahorodnii --- Git commit 7e6876cc630b4dbe720d2d9aa0953170731f5644 by Vlad Zahorodnii. Committed on 18/01/2024 at 00:16. Pushed by vladz into branch 'Plasma/6.0'. Introduce layer window rule The new window rule allows to overwrite the stack layer. It can be useful on wayland to force picture-in-picture surfaces (which are xdg-toplevels at the moment) to be placed above fullscreen windows. Keep above flag is unsuitable because fullscreen windows are placed higher "above" windows.
