[konqueror] [Bug 484437] white page shown before opening pages
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=484437 --- Comment #4 from zak --- (In reply to Stefano Crocco from comment #3) > Unfortunately, the changes I made to make the white flash disappear had > several unwanted consequences, so I'll have to remove or at least refine > them. However, I'd like to better understand something: when you say you use > a dark theme in Konqueror, do you mean you set a custom stylesheet (using > the appearance page in Konqueror configuration dialog) or that you chose a > dark colour theme for your desktop environment? In my tests, using a dark > desktop theme doesn't have any effect on the colour of web pages: page > background is still white and text is still black. "do you mean you set a custom stylesheet" yes, that's what i mean. a dark background and a white text color. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I don't think so, but GPU driver bugs are sometimes triggered by specific patterns in how rendering is done, or by buffer formats (like 10 bits per color with KWin vs 8 with other compositors), there can be many differences that can make one happen or not happen. Anyways, total system freezes like that are always kernel bugs; if it seems GPU driver related you can directly create the an issue on drm,/amd about it in the future -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[knetattach] [Bug 477568] Knetattach "remembers" wrong credentials
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=477568 pandora changed: What|Removed |Added CC||pandorasbuec...@posteo.net --- Comment #3 from pandora --- I'm unsure if I'm in the right place and I have no idea how things work around here exactly, but I wanted to share some observation I made in this matter and thought this should be a good place for it. Please tell if I should put this somewhere else. Rebooting didn't work for me, so I had to poke around a little more. Following are the steps that worked for me: - renamed .local to .local.backup - closed dolphin and opened it again - a new .local-folder got added - added the WebFolder anew and got asked for the credentials again - connection successful - reviewed the content of new .local - folders: baloo, dolphin, kate, kwalletd, remoteview, Trash - files: krunnerstaterc, recently-used.xbel, user-places.xbel, user-places.xbel.bak, user-places.xbel.tbcache - figured folders kwalletd and remoteview might be relevant - in .local.backup: renamed kwalletd and remoteview to kwalletd.backup and remoteview.backup - renamed .local to .l and .local.backup to .local again - closed dolphin and opened it again - added the WebFolder anew - didn't got asked for credentials again - connection successful - in .local: a new remoteview-folder got created but no new kwalletd I don't really know what's going on. First I thought the credentials were in .local somewhere, as I was asked to enter them again after renaming it. After reverting the name, I didn't have to give the credentials again, but the connection worked anyway. So the credentials could not have been in .local, otherwise it would have taken the wrong old ones right? I think the credentials might be saved somewhere else and .local only "knows" where. So new .local didn't know the place and asked for credentials, but then saved them in the same place = overwriting the old credentials. So old .local looked where it "thought" to have stored the old credentials and found the new ones. Does this make any sense? [kde] [Bug 486039] New: [wayland] Some Applications Render Fonts with Artifacting at Certain Window/Element Widths at Fractional Scale Factors
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=486039 Bug ID: 486039 Summary: [wayland] Some Applications Render Fonts with Artifacting at Certain Window/Element Widths at Fractional Scale Factors Classification: I don't know Product: kde Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: eamonn...@protonmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 168847 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=168847=edit Discover Font Rendering SUMMARY Some text is rendered with unusual artifacting at certain window sizes when using fractional scaling. The width/position of the containing element is also likely to play a role. When resizing the window, the text will jump around a little bit to the sides as it goes between being artifacted and rendering correctly. However, if you resize the window and get one part of the application to look correct, other parts will not look correct, causing a constant game of cat-and-mouse. I have not yet found a window size that renders correctly. On a display without fractional scaling, text renders correctly. This affects the following software: - Discover - NeoChat (resizing doesn't always help in the case of the "About KDE" section, where the text is always rendered with artifacts). - Kasts (probably the least impacted except for one case that I will attach a screenshot of) - Application Dashboard - Info Center, to a minimal degree These issues are usually most visible on the "About" page. I filed this under "I don't know" because this only affects some (QML?) applications. Some applications, like Dolphin, are entirely unaffected. STEPS TO REPRODUCE For this example, I will use Discover. 1. Open Discover and go to the About page, with a scale factor of 150% 2. If not observe the issue, resize slowly until observed. 3. Text will jump around to the sides by a few pixels while resizing. OBSERVED RESULT Some applications will render fonts ugly at 150% scaling. EXPECTED RESULT All applications render fonts cleanly regardless of scale factor. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 6.8.7 Linux Zen KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.1.0 Qt Version: 6.7.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION On my system I am using the "Inter Display" font set to Medium 10pt, but this also affects Noto. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[frameworks-kirigami] [Bug 485073] Kirigami.Action doesn't honor KeyNavigation.tab
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=485073 --- Comment #8 from Aleix Pol --- I'm not sure what you mean. I find these are working. The work a bit weird, in that they navigate right-to-left, this could maybe be a bug but tab navigation works. Also I see that the focus is not very well displayed. Is that what you mean? How did you test it? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Falkon] [Bug 486028] Content of some (React/Nuxt/NodeJS based?) websites disappear after loaded
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=486028 acidrums4 changed: What|Removed |Added Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED Resolution|--- |UPSTREAM --- Comment #2 from acidrums4 --- > I dare to say this is due to QtWebEngine in Qt5 being based on Chromium 87 > (or something similar) which is "way too old" for current websites. After being able to download Fedora 40 (while trying to do so is how I remembered abot this!) and installing Falkon on its live session, I can confirm that you were absolutely right - in Falkon 24.* this is not happening at all. Alas KDE6 is still masked on Gentoo so I'm stuck with the "old" QtWebEngine 5.x. I'm marking this as "Resolved upstream" as this was a thing from QtWebEngine. Thank you so much and sorry for the noise. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
