SUMMARY
When dragging a file/directory/whatever around in dolphin, if you hover over
the path in the location bar (in breadcrumb mode), dolphin crashes (without a
crash dialog).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Drag a file/folder/whatever
2. Hover your mouse over the location bar while it is in breadcrumb mode
3. Make sure to do it over a directory name, not an arrow (it works as intended
over the arrow).

OBSERVED RESULT
 - Dolphin Crashes
 - My cursor turns into the "not-allowed" version

EXPECTED RESULT
 - Dolphin doesn't crash
 - Directory is highlighted
 - If mouse is let go, it should give the move/copy dialog

This bug is still not fixed, today when I click the system monitor widget on
the panel, plasmashell stuck again, and using kuitapp6 cannot stop it, here is
kuitapp6 output:

SUMMARY
Download videos from Canon EOS R7 have wrong names when renaming using date
pattern for file name.

I am using following pattern to rename files while downloading from my EOS R7
Camera [date:MMdd_hhmmss]_R7. The camera is set to timezone UTC-7 (Los
Angeles) the PC is set to same time zone. Resulting files are named after UTC
time and not actual Time Zone they where shot. This only affects videos.

EOS R7 has latest firmware from Canon

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set Canon EOS R7 Camera and PC to Los Angeles Time Zone (I guess any non UTC
timezone would do)
2. Shot a video using the camera, take note of the date and time you shot the
video
3. Download the video using Digikam using auto dtected camera. Make sure to use
a custom renaming file naming scheme, I use [date:MMdd_hhmmss]_R7 but I
guess any pattern containing a date would lead to same issue 


OBSERVED RESULT
- Downloaded file name has wrong name. E.g. if the video was shot on May 1st
2024 at 13:01:27 resulting file name will be 20240501_200127_R7.MP4

EXPECTED RESULT
- Downloaded file name should be named according to shot time, as per above
example 20240501_200127_R7.MP4


SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Qt 5.15.10 (x86_64-little_endian-lp64 shared (dynamic) release build; by GCC
13.2.0) on "xcb" 
OS: Debian GNU/Linux trixie/sid [linux version 6.7.12-amd64]


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Running Gnome Desktop v46, Wayland
- It seems that the EOS R7 is using UTC for file date attributes

SUMMARY
In Krita 5.2, transform masks use `dumbparams` until they're first edited. The
parser for those params was moved into a separate library in commit d1cc758,
meaning any files that contain `dumbparams` transform masks fail to load.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Launch Krita 5.2.2
2. Create a new document
3. Add a transform mask to the background layer
4. Save the file
5. Launch Krita 5.3.0-prealpha (git 17e5603)
6. Try to open the file

OBSERVED RESULT
Krita fails to load the image, complaining it "Could not create transform mask
params"

EXPECTED RESULT
The file should open successfully

You can observe the param type changing using this script:

6. Run the script again

In 5.2, the mask starts out using `dumbparams`, then moves to
`tooltransformparams` when you edit the transform. If you perform those same
steps in 5.3 the transform mask immediately uses `tooltransformparams`.

Nope, that wasn't why (XFCE also doesn't set XDG_SESSION_TYPE). However, what
is different between the two DEs is the cgroup hierarchy --- in XFCE, almost
all user-level processes are uner the `session-1.slice` group (presumably owned
by systemd). However, on KDE, each process is under a slice that is owned by
the process that spawned them (for example, if I run `python` in the Kitty
terminal, that `python` process would show up under the `app-kitty.slice`.

Each of these app-level slices are under the general `session.slice`, so to
systemd, almost none of the processes spawned are under any systemd
cgroup/session!

Spam messages don't show in the main SMS window on the phone, therefore they
are being filtered or at least not included in the main messages list that a
user would access.

KDE Connect does show them, therefore I assumed (perhaps incorrectly) that all
SMS are together and that they are filtered by the SMS app on Android.

SUMMARY
When you press the show balance chart on the ledger view, it shows negative
values. It could be that this is intended to work this way but I am reporting
it as it was not intuitive to me why it the value was negative and why the
chart showed negative values. 

I believe that the it would be more intuitive if the chart shows absolute
values to remove any negatives. 

If the account is a liability
- a negative value would mean that the account is overpaid
- a positive value is the amount that owed on the liability 

If the account is an asset
- a negative value would mean that the account is over drafted. 
- a positive value means the account has a positive balance, there is money
available. 

This however, may only be the way I think about it. 

It can also make sense the way it is now, but it may help to put tool tip to
help explain that the negative value on the liability is simply what is owed,
not that the account has been overpaid.  


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Mymoney file 
2. Go to ledger for a liability account
3. Click on the show balance chart

OBSERVED RESULT
If the account has a balance (if liability, you still owe it), then you will
see the chart dip into the negative. 
If the account has been over paid, it will be positive. 

EXPECTED RESULT
If the account has a balance, it should be positive. 
If the account has been over paid, it should be negative, 
- essentially reverse the signs when it is a liability vs an asset account.

Thank you for the bug report. Unfortunately we were not able to get to it yet.
Can we ask you to please check if this is still an issue with either Plasma
5.27 (the current LTS version) or Plasma 6.0.4 (the latest released version),
and the latest version of KDE Connect available for your phone?

I just tested this by sending a  video from my phone to my Plasma 6 desktop and
the file finished copying.

SUMMARY
This is a strange bug, and I did not know how to categorize it. I am using
Plasma wayland with Fedora.

I have two USB keyboards. The one from Logitech works with no problem.

The other is from Microsoft. Its lsusb description is
ID 045e:0750 Microsoft Corp. Wired Keyboard 600

The Microsoft keyboard, which I prefer, works everywhere except inside Plasma.
I can use it after I boot the computer, within GNOME, or even to enter my
password from sddm. But as soon as I enter Plasma, it's not recognized. None
of the keys has any effect. The Logitech keyboard does function, however,
without problem. I'm running on wayland. I wanted to try it on the X11
version of Plasma, but Fedora does not supply this.

This occurs no matter how I start up plasma, whether from sddm, gdm, or the
startplasma-wayland command.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Plug in my Microsoft USB keyboard.
2. Start Plasma.
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
Keyboard does not function. I log out using the mouse.

EXPECTED RESULT
The keyboard functions.

Google Messages (and presumably other apps) have a way of filtering out spam
messages. As far as I can tell, this is 100% handled at the application layer,
so there is no way we can get the information by calling system APIs. If
someone knows otherwise, please share the doc links, etc.

Marking this bug as confirmed, since it is true that KDE Connect does not
filter spam messages and ideally should.

I fixed it on my end. All I did was rename the virtual desktop to "Desktop 1,"
add a third virtual desktop, and logout. Now, it displays properly.

The workaround from comment #23 didn't work for me.

I went to Energy Saving and turned off suspending when the power button is
pressed (to avoid suspending while trying to create the shortcut), and then I
tried to create the shortcut. Unfortunately, when I tried to enter the shortcut
key by pressing the power button, nothing happened at all; it just didn't
register as a key press.

The KDE Connect app available in F-Droid may work for you. I have this
installed through Neo Store (which is a front end to F-Droid), and I can
control my phone with the mouse on my Linux system.

This is on a Sony Xperia with Android 12.

Okay, just managed to play audio cd with Amarok on Plasma6 system (openSUSE). I
needed to install an additional kio_audiocd5, but it was co-installable with
kf6 kio-audiocd without any obvious problems, so this issue fortunately
something that is solvable with some packaging finetuning.

New KDE user, experienced in Linux, I had to come here googling for solution
because I were stuck. This is not good user experience. I had to google
solution before being able to connect to WiFi, as storing WiFi password
requires wallet. This process should be done automatically.
