The build with your last commits is under progress. I hope that upload will work as expected (i'm not at home today). Many times, rsync from MSYS2 close the connection socket, and i don't know why. I write a "try again" loop in the script in this case, but it's do not improve well the situation. I think the rsync Windows port is not perfect. Observable as soon as logged into the desktop environment. The darker the background, the more noticeable. For example, open any window (e.g. Chrome) -> maximize -> open bugs.kde.org 2. If your system theme is dark, or Chrome uses Dark Reader, most of the page is dark, including the right edge, where the scrollbar is. 3. Notice within the last column of pixel (i.e. the rightmost line), speckles (could be any of R, G, B) shows up and disappear at random locations, like a Christmas tree. Currently most of them are within the 25%~50% region from the top to bottom. 4. This may have to do with DPI and window settings. I use mine at 150%, and tweaked the sizes in window settings. If I switch back to 100% things are fine. [okular] [Bug 487723] New: make adding text UI a little easier to use
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=487723 Bug ID: 487723 Summary: make adding text UI a little easier to use Classification: Applications Product: okular Version: 23.08.5 Platform: Kubuntu OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org Reporter: imthenacho...@gmail.com CC: okular-de...@kde.org Depends on: 487721 Target Milestone: --- Okular is a fantastic PDF reader/tool. I find the text entry (typewriter) UI a little clunky. You have to draw a box and then enter text in a pop-up that gets embedded in. I think it would be a lot cleaner if you can just click where you want to start typing and then type live in the document. That way you can get a better sense of placement and what not. Kind of how Adobe PDF or PDF Studio do it. [konsole] [Bug 487709] When Konsole calls firefox the text is uneven.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=487709 --- Comment #2 from Ryk --- I'm trying to reproduce the effect, I admit I'm new to linux arch and I've only been using KDE Plasma a couple of days now, so far what I see in Plasma I like very much. I didn't phrase myself properly, I didn't mean initializing firefox with Konsole, but rather I did something that caused firefox to load directly in konsole (does that make sense?) If I can remember what I did it's driving me a little coo coo :) it's not really a big deal. I'm really more concerned with my loading crash of Inkscape in Plasma yet Inkscape works fine when I boot into the gnome de. Other than that I really like Plasma. With the change to Plasma 6 all Systemmonitor-Panel Apps decreased their size. I am on a 50" TV as display and when i use more than 2 cpu-sensors the size (height and width) is unusable. With all 12 cpu-sensors the size is so small on the 50" display, that i can see tiny pixels at the base when the cpu is under load. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=487717 Bug ID: 487717 Summary: When adding a second screen with greater resolution than first screen, desktop wallpaper is constrained to smaller resolution of first monitor Classification: Plasma Product: kwin Version: git-stable-Plasma/6.1 Platform: Arch Linux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: multi-screen Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: briguy...@live.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 169924 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=169924&action=edit This is a 2560x1440 resolution monitor, but wallpaper is constrained to 1920x1080. Black space should not be here and wallpaper should be full screen SUMMARY I have two monitors. Primary is 1920x1080, secondary is 2560x1440. I have both monitors using the same wallpaper settings. If I start my PC and only the single Primary monitor is enabled, and then at the desktop I turn on my second monitor, instead of scaling the wallpaper and desktop to 2560x1440, it instead thinks the background of the desktop should be 1920x1080. The taskbar extends across the entire screen as expected, and I can even move my cursor and desktop icons into the "black" area as shown in the screenshot. I am unable to right click to invoke the desktop context menu in the black space. Changing resolution and reverting keeps the 1920x1080 limit and does not fix it. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have two monitors, Monitor A 1920x1080 and Monitor B 2560x1440 2. Only have Monitor A turned on, and start PC and go to the desktop 3. While at the desktop, turn on Monitor B 4. Observe the desktop background of Monitor B OBSERVED RESULT Wallpaper and desktop background remains capped at 1920x1080 even on Monitor B which has a resolution of 2560x1440 EXPECTED RESULT Wallpaper and desktop update with each monitors resolution, even if they are added after you get to the desktop. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=487664 --- Comment #2 from jman12...@live.com --- (In reply to David Edmundson from comment #1) > We have our own panel avoidance, rather than going through _NET_WORKAREA as > that is not screen specific and therefore not usable enough. > > This is a third party product breaking things, sorry. > Maybe on wayand we can do something better. _NET_WORKAREA was just a guess. But KDE already has correct per screen information as when a window is maximized, it will not go into 'third-party' docks area. Therefore, the correct screen data already exists somewhere. This is not a problem specific with tint2. I don't use tint2, I only used it as it's common to have on different distro's. Every panel that is attempted to be used will have this problem. Please re-open as a bug withing KDE as this is definitely not a "a third party product breaking things". The code that lays out folders on the desktop is simply wrong. I understand this is annoying and somewhat hard to fix. If you need help. Let me know. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
