[kdenlive] [Bug 471349] [EXPERIMENTAL] Kden doesn't detect system-installed python packages
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=471349 --- Comment #2 from Abe --- (I was on the middle of writing my comment and it got sent somehow, can't edit it...) So `whisper` works on the command line and it creates subtitles for video files, but `Kdenlive` suggests to install it (and fails to do so). Also on Archlinux. $ which kdenlive /usr/bin/kdenlive $ pacman -Ss kdenlive extra/kdenlive 23.04.3-1 (kde-applications kde-multimedia) [installed] -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdenlive] [Bug 433239] Cannot ungroup video from audio
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=433239 --- Comment #4 from Abe --- (In reply to farid from comment #3) > Can you try using the nightly appimage build please? > > https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Kdenlive_Nightly_Appimage_Build/ > lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/ I'm trying it. Currently I can Ungroup and Resize. I'll keep testing and report back. If I launch it from the console I see its very verbose, printing lines when I mouse-out of a clip, or on every frame if I hold the mouse button pressed on top of a clip. I guess things are being debugged. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdenlive] [Bug 433239] Cannot ungroup video from audio
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=433239 --- Comment #2 from Abe --- Closing and re-opening Kdenlive solves both issues ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ So the question would be, what placed it in this odd state? In case it's related, I work with a graphics tablet, no mouse. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdenlive] [Bug 433239] Cannot ungroup video from audio

[kdenlive] [Bug 371849] audio file sounds "clicky" when on project timeline; affects rendered file

[kdenlive] [Bug 371849] audio file sounds "clicky" when on project timeline; affects rendered file
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371849 --- Comment #44 from Abe --- I just tried to load the provided audio file for testing, added it to two tracks slightly offset (but overlapping) in time, previewed, exported, and did not hear any clicks, just pure sine wave. With Kdenlive 20.08.1 under Arch Linux. For me it seems to be resolved. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdenlive] [Bug 383663] New: Aplying Transform to two tracks affects only first one
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383663 Bug ID: 383663 Summary: Aplying Transform to two tracks affects only first one Product: kdenlive Version: 17.04.3 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: Effects & Transitions Assignee: vpi...@kde.org Reporter: f...@funprogramming.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 107346 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=107346=edit Screenshot showing the track layout Reproducing the bug: 1. Have two videos in two tracks, same start and length. 2. Apply Transform to those two videos 3. For each Transform, add a keyframe at the end, change the final X and Y values to animate the layer position. 4. Play. The top track animates, the bottom one is still. Disabling the top track, makes the bottom track animate. Moving the top video to the right (later in time) so it starts when the bottom video has already played 50% will make the bottom video reset it's animation when the top video starts animating. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdenlive] [Bug 371849] audio file sounds "clicky" when on project timeline; affects rendered file
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371849 --- Comment #18 from Abe <f...@funprogramming.org> --- Nice! Your version has no clicks and the original volume is maintained. Sounds great. I'm on ArchLinux, and I thought I always had the most recent packages. In case of MLT, it's 6.4.1. Do you compile your own melt? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdenlive] [Bug 371849] audio file sounds "clicky" when on project timeline; affects rendered file
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371849 --- Comment #16 from Abe <f...@funprogramming.org> --- The resulting volume with "sum" seems to be quieter. If "sum" is used and people haven't previously noticed the clicking, they may be upset by the unexpected lower volume. On the other hand, I believe Kdenlive may not be used professionally with this clicking. I do not know what to suggest. A pity that the deadline is tomorrow. Personally, if sum is not used for now, I will write a script to work around this issue. I'll render audio and video separately, audio to wav using "sum", then normalize the audio, encode it to aac, then replace the clicky audio track with the new one using ffmpeg. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdenlive] [Bug 371849] audio file sounds "clicky" when on project timeline; affects rendered file
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371849 --- Comment #15 from Abe <f...@funprogramming.org> --- Created attachment 107176 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=107176=edit Test the difference between combine and sum, produce wav results Two projects that combine 4 wav files (sine waves) using either "combine" or "sum". "combine" produces regular clicks audible with headphones. "sum" does not produce click, but the final volume is quieter, which probably needs to be compensated in kdenlive. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdenlive] [Bug 371849] audio file sounds "clicky" when on project timeline; affects rendered file
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371849 --- Comment #14 from Abe <f...@funprogramming.org> --- For me it's currently necessary to manually get rid of combine. Otherwise the produced video is not acceptable. I haven't done a ton of audio mixing though. I will produce something with 4 audio tracks, and render it both ways, see if there are any issues and report back later today. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdenlive] [Bug 371849] audio file sounds "clicky" when on project timeline; affects rendered file
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371849 --- Comment #12 from Abe <f...@funprogramming.org> --- The issue is still present on 17.04.3, and getting rid of "combine" still works as a solution. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdenlive] [Bug 382544] audio export is glitchy
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=382544 --- Comment #2 from Abe <f...@funprogramming.org> --- (I wish I could edit comments...) To be more precise, I open the xxx.sh.mlt file, search for combine, delete all the lines that set combine to 1, save that file, and then run the xxx.sh file to render my movie. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdenlive] [Bug 382544] audio export is glitchy
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=382544 Abe <f...@funprogramming.org> changed: What|Removed |Added CC||f...@funprogramming.org --- Comment #1 from Abe <f...@funprogramming.org> --- Hi! Are the clicks regular? I suffer from this issue: https://github.com/mltframework/mlt/issues/124 When I render any file, there's regular clicks (audible only on headphones) three times per second. I can get rid of them by editing the Kdenlive export script and delete all lines that set combine to 1. After doing this, the sound is clean. The linked issue mentions that Shotcut (another video editor) stopped using combine=1. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdenlive] [Bug 382758] Freeze effect doesn't work at all
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=382758 --- Comment #3 from Abe <f...@funprogramming.org> --- One more detail: the freeze effect has 3 inputs: the freeze time and two check boxes. The state of the check boxes is saved correctly when clicked, but changing the freeze time is not changed. Test: 0. Have two video clips in the time line, A and B. 1. apply the freeze filter to clip A. 2. select clip B. 3. select clip A. 4. change the freeze time and the state of the check boxes. 5. select clip B. 6. select clip A. Notice how the freeze time was not saved the last time we changed it, but the check boxes were indeed saved. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=382758 Abe <f...@funprogramming.org> changed: What|Removed |Added CC||f...@funprogramming.org --- Comment #2 from Abe <f...@funprogramming.org> --- Hi, I get the same issue (freeze does nothing) on Kdenlive 17.04.3, English version, MLT 6.4.1. Archlinux with i3. As a temporary workaround, I play the video in VLC, pause it on the spot I want it frozen, go to `video > take snapshot`, and then use that snapshot image in Kdenlive where I needed the freeze. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371849 Abe <f...@funprogramming.org> changed: What|Removed |Added CC||f...@funprogramming.org --- Comment #8 from Abe <f...@funprogramming.org> --- > It would be interesting to see if this artifact disappears if you replace > "combine" with "sum" in the audio mix transitions of the Kdenlive project > file (that does however require a very recent MLT git, as this was added 15 > days ago). Replacing "combine" with "sum" does get rid of the glitches for me. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
