[plasma-browser-integration] [Bug 489722] New: camera does not properly work with the browser integration extension
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=489722 Bug ID: 489722 Summary: camera does not properly work with the browser integration extension Classification: Plasma Product: plasma-browser-integration Version: unspecified Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Firefox Assignee: k...@privat.broulik.de Reporter: akostadi...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY With the extension installed, camera in google meet is not showing picture. As soon as I removed the extension, camera started to work. The camera led lit up as normal. But just I couldn't see my picture on the screen as well others couldn't see it. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. install plasma integration extension and the native component RPM 2. join a google meet call OBSERVED RESULT Camera doesn't work EXPECTED RESULT Camera works SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 6.9.5-200.fc40.x86_64 (64-bit) KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.3.0 Qt Version: 6.7.1 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 487340] window focus and clipboard act flaky
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=487340 --- Comment #2 from Aleksandar Kostadinov --- How about debugging this switching focus issue? I'm almost sure these are related. [kwin] [Bug 487340] New: window focus and clipboard act flaky
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=487340 Bug ID: 487340 Summary: window focus and clipboard act flaky Classification: Plasma Product: kwin Version: 6.0.4 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: wayland-generic Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: akostadi...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I observe flaky behavior of window focus and clipboard. I file this as a single bug because both things I will describe are related to switching windows so are likely related. Often when swithing to an existing konsole window with the mouse or Alt+Tab, the cursor in the terminal appears hollow and pasting with middle mouse click does not work no matter how many times I click with the mouse inside the window. Only when I press a keyboard button, the cursor becomes filled and now I can paste with a middle mouse click. Then switching between Firefox (125.0.3 in wayland mode), selecting a line, doesn't set clipboard content. I have to try more than once sometimes until the text is copied. I have selected the option in clipboard "keep the selection and clipboard the same". STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Firefox and Konsole 2. Switch to Firefox window and select text with the mouse 3. switch to Konsole window and middle click to paste text OBSERVED RESULT 1. sometimes selected text in Firefox doesn't reach clipboard, more attempts to select needed 2. often first need to press a keyboard key before I can middle-click paste into konsole EXPECTED RESULT 1. Selected text should always reach clipboard 2. I should be able to just click Konsole window to bring focus to it and middle-click paste without the need to press a keyboard button SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 6.8.9-300.fc40.x86_64 (64-bit) (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.2.0 Qt Version: 6.7.0 Graphics: Radeon 780M Graphics ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I have no idea how to debug this. I wanted to see like in earlier plasma versions, to choose between software renderer and OpenGL, I can't see that option here though. So I understand the bug report is not very useful unless you can reproduce it, but then I assume you would have fixed it already if you had it in your system, because it is not really tolerable... or maybe that's just me. Anyway if you tell me how can I provide more useful debug information, I'll gladly do. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[Spectacle] [Bug 475688] New: RFE: read barcode from copied image
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=475688 Bug ID: 475688 Summary: RFE: read barcode from copied image Classification: Applications Product: Spectacle Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: General Assignee: noaha...@gmail.com Reporter: akostadi...@gmail.com CC: k...@david-redondo.de Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Hi, it is very annoying to see barcodes online and not be able to easily scan them. It will be a really nice feature if spectacle allows an action next to "copy" and "save" to also attempt reading a barcode from the image and copy it's content to clipboard. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. take screenshot of a QRCODE 2. read it OBSERVED RESULT no such option EXPECTED RESULT to have this option SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 38 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.7 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.109.0 Qt Version: 5.15.10 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdeconnect] [Bug 443155] kdeconnect breaks when openssh is upgraded to version 8.8p1-1
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=443155 --- Comment #32 from Aleksandar Kostadinov --- The security concern should not be lesser IMO. The protocol was disabled for a reason. I just wanted clarification. Enabling the protocol was a good quick-fix measure. But it is unacceptable in the long term. I wonder if maintainer can comment on how hard would a proper update of ssh server be. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdeconnect] [Bug 443155] kdeconnect breaks when openssh is upgraded to version 8.8p1-1
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=443155 --- Comment #30 from Aleksandar Kostadinov --- Is the KDE connect widget failing for you? I don't see in my ssh configuration `ssh-rsa` enabled, yet kde connect is working. Maybe it enables it under the hood and it is much better not to. I'm just trying to understand whether the widget fails or you are concerned about security (which is legit) and compatibility with other apps. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[policykit-kde-agent-1] [Bug 312325] Authentication dialog sometimes appears behind the window that requested it
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=312325 --- Comment #28 from Aleksandar Kostadinov --- Maybe an easy to reproduce example. KDE: 5.27.4 KDE Framework: 5.104.0 X11 When I click on the network connection and choose to connect to a VPN (or I guess whatever network where password is not remembered), then an auth dialog pop up but input is not received until the menu is closed with a mouse click. And this is very annoying especially for VPNs that use 2fa so password can't be saved. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=443155 Aleksandar Kostadinov changed: What|Removed |Added CC||akostadi...@gmail.com --- Comment #16 from Aleksandar Kostadinov --- I see a commit allowing `ssh-rsa` algorithm [1]. I think this is insecure. Where is the problem actually? In kdeconnect android app that it uses old SSH server/client or in client machine using old SSH server/client? I think that if insecure algorithms are to be enabled, that should be an in-app question. Not just allowing old insecure stuff. And user should be informed whether the problem comes from not updated android app or from not updated ssh client on user's machine. [k3b] [Bug 298914] custom filesystem options auto-reverted
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=298914 Aleksandar Kostadinov changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|WAITINGFORINFO |--- Status|NEEDSINFO |REPORTED --- Comment #3 from Aleksandar Kostadinov --- -- k3b 18.04.3 Surprisingly still issue exists. I think I understand issue better now though. * click "Burn" * select a filesystem, which is "Linux/UNIX + Windows" by default for me, then click "Custom..." and change some options When you click "Ok" then the selected filesystem option is still "Linux/UNIX + Windows". I think it should be automatically switched to the entry "Custom" because user obviously wants to use custom options. The other issue is that when user selects "Custom (...)" filesystem and selects some costom options from "Custom...", then clicking "Ok" gets the selection back to "Linux/UNIX + Windows". Getting the selection to any filesystem, resets the "Custom (...)" options and this erratic switching to the different option causes the reset as far as I can tell. Provided nobody is interested to implement saving different custom filesystem options, the easiest fix I can see is to switch to "Custom (...)" selection entry whenever "Custom..." options are set by user. And never automatically go back to "Linux/UNIX + Windows" or any other option. Hope it makes more sense now. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
